I'm only on day four and not sure if just imagining this or not, but my legs feel so restless. It only happens in the evening but is driving me crazy. Has anyone else felt this sensation or am I just dreaming this up?

Yes I get this in my whole body at about the same time every night. It's a nightmare and the only thing that can cure it is going to bed.

It's not a diet symptom though for me as I had it before I started the diet. Its like all of a sudden there is adrenalin or something that gets pumped round my body making me feel horrible and restless and annoys me so much that I feel like I have to go to bed before I punch someone! Its really annoying but I think its just my body telling me to go to bed.

Hope it helps to know that you are not alone, but sorry I can't tell you whether its a diet symptom, maybe ask you consultant aswell as everyone on here just incase it is something that needs to be checked out by a doctor. I'll keep a look out on this thread just incase it is!!

Hi OC44, are you drinking enough water? Sometimes we can get leg cramps especially at night from dehydration or low potassium. Always check with your doctor before adding anything, and dont forget to write your counselors, too!

There is a condition called "Restless Leg Syndrome" but before googling your diagnosis, did this just appear when you started the plan? If so, are your legs feeling especially cold at night? My legs are constantly cold at night. I use to freeze my husband pre-Cohen days with the AC, and now he's sweats at night because Im always cold!!

Hope your feeling better!

Hi Kelli,
The RLS has just started while on the program and now that you mention it, my legs and feet are also very cold at night. I've actually had to start wearing socks to bed which is really out of the norm for me. Bizarre. I wonder what that's about. I am drinking above and beyond the required amount of water, so I suspect that's not it. Hmmmm....I'm going to pay attention more and see if I can figure out what little changes may make a difference. I am only on week one, and I remember getting an email from a counselor, but am not sure how to get a hold of my counselor. I may have to go back through my emails and see if I can figure it out.
Thanks for the suggestions, Julie

If you take potassium pills it will help alot. You can get it at kroger or any food store.

Hi Julie, how are the legs doing? :party1:

:nerd:Always check with your doctor before taking any supplements, especially potassium. It can wreak havoc on your heart if you off set the balance in your system!!!{noway}

Keep warm, and just think when you're cold it's Mr. Growth Hormone burning away the fat insulation!!!!:party3:

Hi,
I have Restless Leg Syndrome (did for a number of years prior to this diet) and take medicine for it but through research have found a lot of my symptoms, which were worse a few years ago, were due to low iron and ferritin (the store of iron in the body) levels. When my ferritin increased the worst of the symptoms improved and I could decrease the amount of medicine I took for them. And, since starting on 1st Personal Diet they have improved even more, probably because I am taking my multivitamin w/ iron more religiously!
Since your question was first posted over 6 months ago, I am not sure if you are even going to realize someone this much later replied, but maybe it might help others coming across it...
