My goal weight has been set really low, the lowest weight for my height. I have always be heavier than I look even when I was thin (many moons ago!). My consultant has said we can discuss it later nearer the time.
Anyhow, in the meantime, to set my mind at rest, does anyone know what your BMI should be for a healthy person or at re-feed as I know that if I get to a weight of 8.2 stones I will look anorexic!

Hi JaneyJane, please try not not to fixate on any given goal weight. Just take each day and examine your body and health along your journey to wellness. Even Dr. Cohen can't predict what exact weight you should be. They can only advice a "range to be within".
My goal is 140. I am not going to agonize whether I will get there or not. I just want this new eating plan to be a way of life for me. I felt very anxious at the start, as if this was a race to be thin. I'm not fooling myself if I'm just striving to reach goal and then chance gaining it all back, and then some. Although, I have great confidence we WONT be going back to our old selves!!!
I understand there is a cost factor involved but one has to be realistic. If it wasn't for the support of everyone in this forum, I would have failed. Keep posting, no concern is ever foolish. We're all work in progress.
You WILL do it!!!! Don't worry...be Happy!

{hi} there JaneyJane
I just wanted to pop in and wish you everything of the best and to say: Nice Ticker!! {goodjob}
If you feel that you want to change your goal weight, you may do so – but I recommend that you first see how it goes and how you look and feel closer to the time. There are quiet a few Diet Buddies who also thought their goal would be too small – but, when they reach what their personal goal was, they weren’t really happy and then they decide to go the extra bit and reach Dr Cohen’s goal. If however you become too thin – write to your Consultant.
In the meantime, please be sure to follow your eating plan 100% for the best results possible - always remember: You can do it!!

YUP....what Shasha said! Now is not the time to be stressing about your goal weight...for now just sit back and enjoy the ride! Relax and let it happen.....your goal weight will set itself once you get close....
HAPPY DIETING!!!!

Hi everyone, found out what the BMI rates are, I'll copy them here in case anyone else wants to know:
Underweight = <18.5
Normal weight = 18.5-24.9
Overweight = 25-29.9
Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater

Wow! My scale right now says BMI 38 and I weigh 167. I dont feel obese nor look obese. I cant believe anything greater than 30 is obesity!! Although my BMI was much higher at the start, so at least I'm improving!!
Thanks for the info. Im just sticking to the 100% number anf following the plan!!
Best wishes for great success!
