What does everyone use to determine how much salt that we should or should not be using.

I use the tiniest amount of salt - probably way less than 1/8 a teaspoon on my dinners. In place of salt, I use a lot of garlic along with my alottment of onion and mushroom. Plenty of flavor for me.

I'm still on a roll with weight loss, but once I'm as close to goal as Cohen is, I'll probably cut it out all together.

I will follow all of your leads. I am not a sugar addict but perhaps a salt addict. No more salt!!!

Thanks!

Hi (again) Mom4Morgan,

I've never used salt substitute, but I do sprinkle a very LITTLE real salt on some of my food.

Your taste buds will change, particularly if you are creative with the other things you use to add flavor to your food.

I can't say enough about how wonderful it is to have sauteed garlic, onions and mushrooms in my meat dishes. Sometimes I don't even salt my meals and they taste divine.

It will be hard at first, but try to wean yourself off of needing salt. Too much salt will cause you to retain water and slow your weight loss.

The best thing is always to ask your consultant.

limit your salt unless you get dizzy spells like I did. If you get dizzy spells because of low blood pressure add in some more salt and cheese is a great option for you.
