I started the diet on march 8th and i seem to be doing fine so far. I do have a problem getting my water intake up to where it needs to be and i always nervous that i am missing something or weighing something wrong. Anyway, i am excited to start losing the weight i have been carrying for far to long. I do have a question for you. We will be going to a buffet for Easter Sunday this year and of course fine restaurants do not allow outside food. I plan to eat the items on my list but how bad will it hurt me if i deviate from the plan just this one day. I see in the diet plan if you deviate from the plan it could cost you a week is this all it costs you or will it set me far behind in my weight lose?

Welcome to the diet!

I had a hard time with water too, but not an issue any more.

As far as Easter....

Its really hard to say what it 'costs'.

For sure, you will be put back at least a week, but the more important thing is how you handle going off plan. Once you cheat, its much easier wo do it again.

Especially, if you 'don't have a bad experience' with this cheat... you get that... oh I did it that time and it was only 1lbs... this can lead to many other cheats.

If you let them know you are on a medical diet, they may let you bring food in.

Welcome lynnaerb:party1:

Glad to hear you are doing well - keep it up!!:weights:

I started just a couple of days before you, had a few teething problems but on track now.

HELP - how have you managed to get your ticker to register weight loss?? I thought that only the 1pd consultants can do it.

Welcome to the diet and to the forums Lynnaerb.

Drinking the amount of water required during the first days is hard. What I did to keep me motivated was to purchase a nice 1litre drinking water, it measures 1 litre and it's pretty. (The shop had 2 litre ones but they were too big!). So now, I just refill it once a day. This week, I've been struggling with water I think because it's getting cold here in the southern hemisphere. But today I have been "GOOOOD!"

I agree with CoheninAZ "once you cheat, it's much easier to do it again." Try her advice, tell them that you are on a medical diet.

Welcome to the plan! It is so awesome! I did some "basement" shopping today after 2 1/2 weeks - The plan is regimented and I like that about it. I need structure and the water will come. So you don't let the water overwhelm you just keep a bottle close at hand and you will be able to sip and before you know it - it will be second nature. Best of luck! Jerri

as for the tickler...i set up my tickler and saved the tickler page to my favorites on the computer so i could go in and update my weight. so all you do is follow the link below and you should be able to put in your start weight and the weight you are at now and as you lose go back in to edit. at least this was my understanding. hope i'm right:confused:. try it and see if it works. best of luck...

Hi Lynn....about Easter brunch. I don't think the restaurant will have a problem with you bringing your own food...just be sure to order a diet coke/pepsi/sprite and be as inconspicuous as possible about your food. Explain to them that you are on a medically prescribed diet and you MUST eat only the prescribed foods in the prescribed amounts. I'm sure there won't be a problem.....I have never encountered any...if anything, they'll be very supportive of you! I would definitely recommend taking your own food!!
