Just want to get clarified when exactly do you weigh? Is it at the beginning of the fourth week or at the end? If it's at the end is it the very last day?

{hi} there :flower: Grlie

You should only weigh yourself again AFTER COMPLETING 4 WEEKS on the 1st Personal Diet Program.
So that means at the start of your 5th week.

Thanks for clarifying. Silly question but for some reason I was confused. I'm starting my third week today so two weeks to go. Today I'm wearing pants I haven't been able to wear in a long time. and they aren't skin tight!!! WAOH! I LOVE THIS DIET!! :jumping2:

{hi} there :flower: Grlie

How wonderful to hear that after ONLY TWO WEEKS of being on the 1st Personal Diet Program, you are able to wear pants that you haven't been able to wear in a long time. and that these pants are not even skin tight!!!

:party8: that is REALLY COOL! :party8:

Please keep up the good work!!

Sasha,
OK - so now that I'm clear that I would weigh on the first day of week 5 I want to be sure I do this correctly. I would weigh first thing in the morning, correct? Also, do I have my blood drawn that day as well? I've already posted a message to the dr's asking about the proper paperwork that I will need. Do you know when they send it to me? Honestly, I'm really excited but very nervous about weighing in. I know I've lost weight and inches. A lot of them but I've been doing so well - not a single bad day (even though I've been tempted, my will to succeed on this is stronger) but I'm afraid that if I get on the scale and it's not showing me as much weight loss as I'd like that I will sabotage myself. It's happened on other diets which is why I'm so nervous about it. Have you gone through this or seen other posts from members who have gone through this? thanks:praying:{idk}

Flwrgrlie- I also weigh in for the first time on Saturday morning for my week 4 check-in....I'll hold your hand if you hold mine. :bighug: I know that my clothes are getting very baggie. Someone at work told me it was time to get some new pants. I'll be sending you good thoughts.

Hugentobler,
Thank you so much! I would really love to do it together. I know my clothes are getting baggy too but I'm so afraid I'll sabotage myself or be disappointed. I think it's just my hormones talking (it's that time right now) thankfully, I'll be over it when I have to weigh so hopefully bloating won't play into my weight at all. Congratulations on losing! It's nice to have a buddy to go through the scary steps with. Good luck and keep in touch so we can weigh in together. :)

PS: Have you gotten an email about your follow up blood work yet?

RELAX my :flower: Buddie, before your bouquet wilts! :bighug:

Your first weigh in is a very important day and what you are feeling is experienced by some people... I believe by having your mind right, you can breeze right through this...

Yes, there are some people do get on the scale only to sabotage themselves... but, will you have moved beyond this because we are going to have a little talk first to get your mind right and then... I'll be watching over you and Amylynn will be holding your hand! Okay, so you are not alone!

{grouphug1}

Now, let's look at some mistakes in thinking that some people can make when getting on the scale:

Mistake # 1
Can be to go WOOOOW, I've lost so much xx - this is wonderful, let's celebrate with going out for lunch... I deserve this... it was so easy to loose this weight, I can do it anytime.... so what if I just cheat today, I can go back on my diet tomorrow... TRUTH be told: TOMORROW NEVER COMES!!! And each day they find themselves starting over and over again. The hormones get out of balance and it becomes harder and harder to stay focussed and if they don't push through and MAKE it work, then they can fall off the bus and stay there...

Mistake # 2
Can be to go: OH NO! I did not loose 50 pounds in my first month, I'm so depressed, this diet is not working for me... I might as well give up and go comfort myself with cookies... Why was this client disappointed?? Because she had unrealistic false expectation, which naturally lead to disappointment because short of amputating something or a miracle happening, her hopes and expectations were just way too high! She was never going to reach this!

How much should you aim to loose - the most YOUR BODY CAN! The focus is not on the scale but on eating and drinking 100% right every single day, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so that you maximise your results.

If you have done this, your body will LOOSE WEIGHT AS FAST AS IT POSSIBLY CAN and things like metabolic rate all come into play...

I'm going to share a little something with you so that you can put things into perspective... I spoke to a lady the other day and she said her doctor was very pleased with her for loosing just 3 pounds... 3 pounds does not seem like a lot, but a medical doctor who knows about these things, thinks that it is GREAT to loose 3 pounds. Now, I'm sure you've lost at least 3 pounds and that is GREAT!!! Anything over and above this is an ABSOLUTE BARGAIN!!!

Okay, so deep breath and relax... the pressure is OFF! I know you have done the very best that you could - we are NOT going to compare your progress with that of anyone else! You are unique and your journey to health and wellness must also be a unique journey, so, let's see what happens :)

THE CORRECT WAY TO WEIGH YOUSELF is: first thing in the morning, empty your bladder and stand on the scale naked... then pack the scale away again until the next 4 weeks are up. (NB: If you are just prior to having your periods, don't even get on the scale, because you will weigh more in water retention. If that is the case, rather wait another week.)

You should receive a reply from your consultant within 24 hours. They might want to know how you are doing before asking giving you the details for your blood test. (This is very important because, say if someone has deviated from the program, there is no point in going for blood test until they are stable on diet for at least two weeks.)

When sending in your reply to the e-mail asking about your progress, always remember to sent through your actual weight or they will write to you and ask you for it and this waists time! The consultants do not have access to your Progress Report on your Personal Page - this is for your eyes only...

So, we, Amylynn and me and ALL YOUR DIET BUDDIES are here for you!!! (You are NOT going to do anything silly because you are not going to expect too much from yourself - 3 pounds is GREAT remember...) but instead, you are going to go straight to MY PROGRESS and let all of us know how you are doing... If you like, you can even open a New Thread and start a FlowerGrlie Diet Diary with all your memoirs... Deal???

{hi} there AmyLynn

I'm really impressed: THAT'S WHAT FREINDS ARE FOR!!! :applause:

The two of you are doing this thing together!!! :bighug: Maybe you can make a date to log on at a similar time on the day of your weigh-in and share the Happy Celebration?? ... just a thought...

All I can say is that we have a really SPECIAL GROUP OF DIET BUDDIES!!! :clapping3:

People who are not afraid to give of themselves to others... :clapping3:

What goes around, comes around and what you sow in life, you will reap... when someone gives out love and support, that is what they receive back...

Given, the Forum won't work for everyone, but at least I know it's making a difference for some and THAT MAKES THIS SO VERY WORTH WHILE... {grouphug2}

Flwrgrlie- Big day tomorrow!! I'll be weighing in early Saturday morning and will post my results under the thread "my Progress". I can't wait to see your results. Side note: I have not gotten anything on the blood work. I'll keep you posted.

Shasha,
Your response was so great!!! The whole expectation of 50 lbs is TOTALLY ME and made me laugh so hard I almost choked on my apple!!! You are very right, though. I've been reminding myself lately that no matter what the scale says I've definetly lost a bunch of inches. Everyone is noticing it and people are asking me what I'm doing. I've been emailing the 1pd website url out like crazy. So those pep talks have been helping. I think I'm worried because I haven't dropped a whole size yet. My size is definetly looser on me but I tried on my pants the next size down and they were still to tight. I'm very proud to say that I haven't had a single day of deviation from the diet. I haven't cheated once and I've done everything asked of me per my 1pd. Hey, even if the scale only registers 10 lbs since I'm going to keep going 10 lbs a month is good progress. I will definelty post my results (and possibly a weight tracker) on Monday.

Amylynn,I'm so glad to have a buddy!! Good luck! I know you'll do great!! I weigh on Monday so I'll be sure to post my results Monday morning. Keep it up, and maybe in the end we can go shopping together!

{hi} there :flower:Grlie

Why thank you my Flower Buddy, that is very kind of you :flirt:

I'm so glad the penny about 50 pounds dropped {rofl}

I know we all want to loose weight as FAST as possible, preferably loose it all in just one day and wake up thin tomorrow morning and never have to worry about what we eat... ever again and all live happily ever after...

But this is THE REAL WORLD... and, even if you do ride off into the sunset with prince charming, chances are, we will get to clean up after his horse!

When we have realistic hopes and set realistic goals we won't end up feeling disappointed because of what we could never achieve in the first place. But, if you keep on walking in the right direction, YOU WILL REACH YOUR DESTINATION!

So, I look forward to seeing your progress on Monday - whatever the scale says, you come tell us all right away!!! and, it is better to keep your focus on how you are looking and feeling. And, so what if you have not lost a whole dress size - people all loose weigh differently, for some it take a little more time for the inches to show ~ but, THAT IS OKAY, because YOU HAVE DONE THE VERY BEST YOU COULD AND CAN BE VERY PROUD OF THAT!!! Hope you have a lovely weekend further...

{hi} there Cyberella

Yes, life is like that... nothing nice comes without a price, except of course for SUNSHINE. But then again, you cannot have SUNSHINE without RAIN BECAUSE you NEED both of them to make the :flower:’s grow!

If you only had SUNSHINE and no rain, the result would be a desert!

The key is to focus on the good :flower: things and to know that sometimes the difficulties we all face (such as dieting) work like medicine, they help to make us better in the long run! :comfort:
