I read the amazing benefits of flax seed oil, and I was just wondering if we're allowed to sprinkle any on our food, especially yogurt?

Thank you,

Really....I remember reading on this forum that no seeds were allowed. Hmmm....guess I'll check with my consultant, too!!

I had thought that too but the Austrailans I know can have it... I've also ben meaning to ask about Garlic again. The Austrailians just had their plans change that they have to weigh fresh garlic.

It could just be a difference in the two plans...

Hi...I got a reply from my consultant about flax seeds/oil:
"You can take 1 Tablespoon of flax seed oil daily on the program, but not the seeds or any other form of seeds."
I hope that helps...

Thanks, Phyllis but I'm confused. My consultant just reponded that I can have salmon oil, and Evening Prim Rose, but never really addressed my question about Flax seed oil.

I also realized my multivitamin contains---ready for this? 300mg of B6!!! The guide suggests no more than 5. I wonder if this has been driving my sugar cravings wild? I'm never really "hungry" just wanting sweets!

Thanks for help.

Hope all is well with you, and your family.

About that B6 thingy... well I know there are 2 types of B6. There is B6 as pyridoxal 5-phosphate and there is B6 as pyridoxine HCl. The B6 as Pyridoxine HCL usually comes in most Multimineral Vitamins as 100 mg. I don't think there is anyway that it comes less. I think it has to be the B6 as pyridoxal 5-phosphate that has to be limited. I noticed it only comes like 10 mg. I stopped taking my B-stress Formula for that reason. In my Multimineral Vit. there is 50 mg of the B6 as Pyridoxine HCL. Maybe I should ask my consultant about this.

In regards to Flax seed oil, there are more benefits from freshly ground flax seed than from the oil, which is processed. Prior to starting this program I was grounding my whole flax seeds in my coffee bean grinder and putting into a smoothie for breakfast. I should ask my consultant about that.

Gosh... should I be concerned about garlic and weighing it? Gee.... better ask my consultant about that too!

Aqua - you don't have to weigh garlic. It's listed under condiments, I think, not vegetables.

I'm interested in the flax seeds/oil. I do think they are allowed, but I'm not sure in what amount. I'd have to do the search on the board to find it.

I suffer from psoriasis and I think the flax would help.

A short time ago we had this flax seed/oil discussion and the conclusion came from someone's consultant....you can have flaxseed OIL but not the seed....we aren't allowed any type of seeds on the program.
