Hi everyone! Well, I tried to stay well amongst a whole work place and dr's offices of sick people(I am in sales for a pharmacy).

anyway, I am feeling really crummy and will email my consultant with these questions also. however, i need to feel better asap and wont hear back from her til tomorrow:-(. has anyone else been sick on the diet and have some suggestions?? i normally take extra vitamin c, echinacea, probiotics(which they said can stimulate hunger so ill stay away from that), and guafenisin for congestion to try and kick it! And resort to an antibiotic if absolutley necessary. also golden seal if goog for being sick.
Does anyone know what we can and cannot take over the counter-wise?? I am also limited in those because of my thyroid disease!

Any help would be very much appreciated! Hope you are having a great weekend:-)

{hi} there Alabama

Sorry to hear that you are feeling sick :comfort:

Always try to use sugar free and alcohol free medications – by doing so, the setback will be less than if you use medications that contain sugar and alcohol.

Hope you feel much better really soon! :love7:

Thank you so much Sasha! I am feeling much better today. Not great but actually felt like doing something besides laying in the bed or on the couch. don't know when I will get back to exercising. I will be going to the dr this afternoon as I think I need an antibiotic

I have been using sugar free cough drops that really help my throat. It hurts! I have felt moments where I wanted to cheat (not that I am hungry, just wanted something spicy and good) But I have stayed on 100%, besides the cough drops (they have the same calories of gum , so I just cut out gum and limit the drops to 5 a day)

{hi} there Alabama

Glad to hear you are feeling better!! :comfort:

Perhaps it would be wise to see your doctor and get it all sorted ASAP…

{goodjob} on not giving in to those cravings…

When you are ill, I always believe it is beneficial to take extra vitamin C - even taking a second multi-vitamin at lunchtime will help {boing}

Hope you continue to feel better and better!
