{hi} Cyberella
Personally I think it's all in the mind... of course, gaining more understanding on how foods react in your body is very important and this is in the mind too...
I think that every person who wants’ to be successful long term needs to re-evaluate what is important to them.
It is about simple choices either / or... you have to decide.
For example, do you want to eat a slab of chocolate everyday or do you want to wear your size 6 pants?? :thinking:
Once you think about it you clearly see that eating a slab of chocolate every day is not :noway: going to equal wearing your size 6 pants. When you get this revelation, you need to make a decision as to which you want MORE...
This is called making a VALUE CHOICE and you need to make ongoing VALUE CHOICES on a daily basis... following your decision to do something it becomes quiet easy. Just keep on making healthy choices one day after another...
Look for example at the other area's of our lives... We all have values as to what we will and will not negotiate with in our lives ie: will you smoke? will you use drugs? will you lie or steal or will you cheat on your spouse? Most of us don't even have to think about what we will and won't do. We have been taught underlying values that govern out decisions. Doing the right thing is because of good habit and because we value the standards we have set for our lives.
Some things are so important enough to us that we do not wish to do anything that could jeopardise health or relationship by making foolish choices.
After you have completed your diet, you will need to make ongoing wise decisions about food on a daily base. This does not meant that you cannot have treats, but rather that you should limit the size and the how often of the treats that you do have to what your body is able to cope with so that you do not gain weight.
Hope this helps! {cheerleader}
