HI...I have this saved on my computer (a sticky note) that I found on this Forum...

TO CREATE A NEW TICKER:
1. Click on the link www.1PDForum.com/tickers
2. Select and insert a PIN you will remember (you can use your forum password if you like)
3. Choose your ticker design and marker out of our unique designs.
4. Choose the way you want to present your data:
* Track weight (e.g. Started at 180, currently at 160, targt at 140)
* Track weight changes (e.g. Need to lose 40, lost so far 20)
* Track clothing size (e.g. Started at size 16, currently at 8, target at 4)
5. insert the numbers and the name or nickname to appear on your ticker.
6. Create your ticker.
7. On the screen you will see: Preview of your new ticker, HTML Code, BB Code and your new ticker link which you need to save for future use
8. Copy and paste the BB Code at the end of your new post on the forum as your signature.
9. Save the link in your favorites
Once you've made your choices and saved them, you will be given the option of copying a link in HTML or BB code. Copy the BB code and then go to your Control Panel page. Select "Edit Signature" at the top left, and when the window appears, paste the BB code for your ticker into the box. Preview your signature to see that it works. From then on, when you update your ticker on the original link, the changes will automatically show up in your posts.
UPDATING AN EXISTING TICKER WITH YOUR NEW WEIGHT/SIZE:
1. Click the link you saved (step 7-9 above)
2. Enter your PIN - if you forgot your PIN, just create a new ticker (see above)
3. Update the data.
4. If you want a new ticker design - check the box for a new ticker/marker.
5. Update the ticker.
6. Copy and Paste the BB Code as you did the first time.

4 Mama - you can save the link to your ticker as a shortcut on your computer's desktop.
When you make a ticker, move your mouse to the window the top of the screen where the web address is displayed, click on the web address to highlight it, then right-click your mouse on the address to copy it . Then minimize any open screens to display your desktop (where you have your special background - your MAIN screen) and right click your mouse. Where it says "new" at the bottom (I'm assuming you have windows) move your mouse over the area. A new box will pop up and at the top you can choose a new folder or a new shortcut. Choose shortcut and a window will pop up to create your shortcut to your ticker. All you have to do is right-click on the window asking for the "location of the item" to paste the web address to your ticker, name your shortcut and voila - you can instantly go to your ticker at any time.

CONGRATS!!! Nice job.
I hope to be at your starting weight in the next few weeks. I've only been under 200 briefly in the last 3 years, so I'm excited about getting there again.
Our goal weight is the same!!

you WILL do it! each time i get out of a "10's" catorgory i feel such a relief! after a game last night, friends were meetg out for a bite. i went home first, ate my dinner (felt very full-really!), and then sat with friends and got "full" again on their company! i ordered a diet coke. i can not get over how i survived! my friends were so supportive, that they felt bad eatg in front of me. i assured them, really, I'm OK!!
it's just the mind set i"m in. keep it going, remember, we have eaten it all!
oh, this tracker with butterflies was not my choice. my husband did it for me. i'm tryg to change it.

Okay, there might be some confusion.
To have your ticker show on your messages here:
1. Open the link to the ticker tracker (in the forum)
2. Enter a password
3. Choose a background, hit continue
4. Choose a marker, hit continue
5. Choose data type, hit continue
6. Enter data, including user name for this board, hit "Create my Ticker"
**Before you go any farther, copy the URL (the web address or http://), go to your desktop (the main screen in windows with your picture background) and right click your mouse. A box will appear, click "New", "Shortcut", and a window will pop up where you paste the link to your Ticker. Paste it, click next, give the shortcut a title, click "Finish". If you don't do this or write down the URL, you won't be able to find your ticker again to update it.**
7. Copy the link in the second window BBCode
8. Go to the Control Panel (see top menu bar)
9. Click on your Signature and past the BBCode
10. Save your Signature and voila - it should work.

Still does not work. I have copied the BBCode into the signature and hit save your signature and all it says is invalid file. I am usually pretty tech saavy. Thanks for trying.

Hi skinnymeOc - I just posted your ticker in my profile.
I took the URL "http://www.1pdforum.com/tickers/image.php?id=2589" and enclosed it with [ img] [ /img] (minus the spaces) in my signature.
Question: Are you copying it into the body of the signature or where it says "upload signature picture"?

I am copying it into option 1. I have done it with the img and without and always get invalid file.

Good idea OC.
I have a screen capture I can send you of what it should look like, but trying the html will probably work.
