I declined alot of offers for Super Bowl parties as I just dont want the temptation. I think it's more the beer temptation than the food, although I know the snacks would 'talk' to me. I am having my own party at home, making some crab cakes. Took me an hour to pull the meat out of the shells. Can't wait.

I know we have som PA peeps here and of course AZ. :)
Who's gonna win?

Hey Mr. Ed!

Tell us how your crab cakes turn out. I sure could go for a crab cake after a while.

RE: the superbowl - I'm torn between Pittsburgh and Arizona.

The Steelers whipped my Ravens, but I was thinking of cheering for them as they're in the same division of the AFC.

But, Arizona is the underdog and Pittsburgh has had more than it's fair share of superbowl wins.

I'm leaning toward the underdog.

And, my family has agreed to exclude tempting, greasy treats from the festivities today. Bless their hearts.

Fantastic game!!!

Crab cakes were very tatsty and so much diff then past dinners.

Crab meat
1/4 tsp parsley
crushed crackers
salt/pepper
lt. mayo
1/4 tsp dry mustard
T water
a very, very, very small pinch of Old Bay (shhhhhhhh)

Comined and pan fried a few minutes. Was extremely good.

{hi} there Mr Ed

That sounds sooo yummy!!! :hungry: Thank you for sharing!!

:cop: you do need to cut out the OLD BAY seasoning for now though – if I remember right, it contains red pepper and celery salt??

If so, both of these can slow your progress down and we don’t want that to happen!!

Make it another GREAT SLIMMING DAY!! :flirt:

Poor Mr. Ed. Crab cakes just aren't crab cakes w/o Old Bay, right?

Guess we'll have to find a way to muddle through! :party1:

Thanks for the recipe. I didn't realize red pepper was off limits. I haven't used any, but I'm bummed it's a "no-go".

what about a curry that contains red pepper as one of the ingredients?? It does not have starch.
