Thank you, Jenn, Julie, Surfergirl, AZ, MrEd for all your encouragement.

I weighed myself this morning and I have lost a further 0.5kg/ 1.1lbs Yay :party1: so only 1.4kgs/ 3lbs to go before I start the refeed. The weight is coming off, just feels like it is taking a long time, I realise this is probably coming off at the same rate as before, it just feels longer because I am so close. I am continuing as normal 100% cohen and hopefully will have shed the last 3lbs soon.

Happy dieting everyone:)

Way to go, won't be long now I'm sure and you will be counting down your refeed days.

Hey Sharon,

Thanks for the words of encouragement. How is your life after the diet going?

Not too sure when I will start refeed as I have a party planned on the 14th Feb so I will either not be naughty that night and do my refeed, or I will postpone the refeed till 2 weeks after the 14th to get my hormones back in balance before starting refeed. Haven't decided what I'm going to do yet. I was even thinking I might aim for the lower end of my goal which is 55kgs before starting the refeed.

I will see how I get on and make a decision nearer the time.

I hope you are well and coping with maintenance.

Hi Zee,
Decisions Decisions eh, its so close but yet so far, is it a party for you? or a party that you are throwing? Whatever decision you make I'm sure it will be the right decision for you, and you will look stunning I am sure with your new trim you (gee there are alot of yous in there). What is the main treat you are looking forward too?
I'm still on my rollercoaster, back to no carbs after a great weekend for my parents 5oth wedding anniversary, ate too much, drunk too much - but I had a great time with family, now its payback, must admit, it always needs more than the 48hours for me, but its good to have a post binge plan that works.

Hi Sharon,

The answer is ALCOHOL, it is not really a party, just an arrangement we made months ago, to go to dinner and a club for some dancing afterwards with some friends, so I know I can 'cohen' quite well at the restaurant, it is just the alcohol which might pose a problem. So I will see how it goes. I have managed to go out to dinner on plan before and be good and stick to cohen foods and quantities.

Sounds like you had a great party for your folks and the no carbs plan seems to do the trick. Well done!

I think I might leave out my crackers and some fruit for a few days to hurry the loss on a bit.

Zee! Love reading your re-feed thread. Such power in your success!

I find alcohol reduces my resolve as far as diet goes, cos I want to nibble on some cheese or nuts etc, but with the dancing - I'd just get on the dance floor instead and boogie on down, just love to dance.
Was a great party - but no dancing - sigh. Am gonna organize an ABBA get together, watch the movie and play sign star - woohoo.
Do you find the resteraunts helpful when it comes to Cohens? Do they weigh for you or do you take your scales, or guestimate?

Zee

Thanks Pinked, glad you are finding it helpful!

Sharon: I generally gestimate, but I stick to things like grilled chicken salad (and leave most of the salad - huge portions) or I order steak & small side salad, I generally just eyeball the steak and give my partner the rest. So far I think it has worked out well, I have never gained any weight when doing this.

Your ABBA party sounds great, I saw Mama Mia the other day and it was FANTASTIC. I really enjoyed it.

Have a great party

Week 13 weigh in:

I have lost 0.5kgs since my 12 week weigh in (but it has been going up and down and up and down) I'm not too sure why this is happening right now, other than it is really cold here in the UK at the moment and I am so close to goal, that perhaps my body just wont let go of those last few pounds.

Will keep soldiering on.....:weights:

Hang in there. Same thing happened to me. I was able to order refeed, get refeed a week later and then had to sit on it for 3 more weeks. It is hard but it will come off. Ask Sharon, I complained about it alot. You will be glad when it finally does happen. You are probably one of those people that it will all drop off within a couple days.

Thanks Pam,

I will hang in there.... can't give up now so close to goal.

Your support is appreciated. How is life after refeed going for you?

I am sure you've already tried everything... but here are some things I've read from other forums that helped at this time. I don't know if they work (other than switching meals around), but this is what I've seen:

Switched Meals around?
Changed what your eating as in if you always have turkey have you tired having fish?
Cut out cheese?
Started drinking more water?
Started drinking Green Tea?
Added another vitamin?
Started taking Chromium?
Cut out Crackers?

Zee,
Things are going nicely. I am starting to get over having to try everything that I have missed so my weight is definately leveling out now. I usually never eat carbs Mon-Thursday though. It works really well for me and it keeps me in check.

End of week 14

I have lost 0.4kgs this week, so only 1kg /2.2lbs to go. It has been 2 and a Half weeks since I ordered my refeed, it is coming off, but really slowly, at this rate I will have another 2 weeks on the diet before I can start refeed.

Pam, sounds like you have found a good balance, I am glad things are working out well for you.

AZ, thanks for the tips, will try some of them out.

hang in there, I know it can be frustrating. Soon you will be on refeed.

Zee

Well it is the end of week 15 and I am still no closer to refeed - up a little to 58.3kgs from 58 last week, but that could be because of TOM arrived 2 days ago.

I am finding it harder and harder to stick to plan, so my plan of action is to have my party tomorrow as planned and then damage control for a week or two and then regardless of my weight I am going to start the refeed.

remember you need two weeks to set your hormones back to normal before starting refeed. Have a nice time:)

you're doing great zee! how frustrating to still not be there but it sounds like you have a plan of one party eve to indulge and then back on the horse 100%. who knows, perhaps that'll help your body kick start again! either way, you've done some great work and you'll get to refeed for sure within the next few weeks!

Hi Sasha, AZ, ladies & gents

Well, I have to admit that I still have not reached refeed! I tried really hard for about 4 weeks to reach my goal of 57kgs, unfortunately I just couldn't seem to go below 58kgs. I then had a large party that was planned months before and I went all out and ate everything I shouldn't.

Since then, it has been really hard to stick to the diet, I have been fairly good during the weeks, but on the weekends things would get out of hand again. So I have not been able to balance my hormones for a full 2 weeks in order to do the refeed.

The good news is that I have only fluctuated by 1.5kgs up and then managed to get it down again by the end of the week only to repeat my mistakes. I think I have lost my motivation, and I am just really tired of eating my plan foods.

Today is Monday and again I am on track and will try really hard this time to stay the course so I can finally do the refeed. Any advice?

Hey Zee -

I just ordered re-feed and was 2 week deviation free and I have to stay 2 free to be able to start it so we can be "re-feed buddies" if you want.

You were so amazing in getting down quickly, and just think, if you get the hormones in order we can HAVE all that "bad" stuff (within reason and rules applied) and not have to worry about a few lbs hoping on...

You can do this!!!

Hi Zee,

The end is so near! Talk to your home support network and let them know, the next couple weekends you CAN NOT cheat. Ask for their help. Temptation is so strong at the end, but you know you can do this. Keep with it girl!

Zee...I know you can do this....sort through your emotions and figure out why deep down something is trying to keep you from reaching the finish line! Just put it behind and stay 100%!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!! You're soooo close don't croak out now!!
BE STRONG AND OF GOOD COURAGE!

i hear you zee! during the week is pretty a-ok for me but lately i've been succumbing on the weekends and erasing all my hard work! why? *bangs head* i was actually 100% both on sunday and today so that's a start in the right direction. once we are where we want to be we'll be able to have weekend indulgences if we are balancing it out with healthy choices during the week. az is also having to be diligent for the next 2 weeks so let's all resolve to stay strong and see this out!

Hi Zee!

Have so been thinking about you! So glad to hear from you... I know it must be so hard to jump back on and especially after trekking for what must seem like FOREVER on the diet!!! I have heard that once back on after cheating, the weight does come off if you happen to be at a plateau??

Anyway, just know that we are all routing for you and believe in you!!!! Just think, only two more weeks...maybe don't weigh cause I am sure that is frustrating!!!?? Two whole weeks of your entire life is not so much, right?? And maybe just stay accountable on here, noting what you are eating everyday. I don't know...just a thought??

We have missed you though. And you have come so far! It could be that you are more athletic or muscular or something that your body is just comfortable at that weight.

Love,

Bonnie

Hey Zee not sure if it helps but, it is just 7 days deviation free to start re-feed.

I asked:

1. I had a little slip up last week and deviated. I need to be 14 days deviation free before starting re-feed correct?

You need to be back 100 per cent on the diet plan for a week before you can start the refedding plan.

I still have the last 2-3 lbs to lose but I know that if I do slip up, its only 7 instead of 14 to get back on and that just seems so much better!
