I DID have a good birthday....thanks for all the good wishes!! The night before my birthday (guess that would make it New Years Eve Eve...lol) my hubby and I attended the Detroit Redwings hockey game! That was quite fun! As I type this right now we're watching them play on tv....they are ahead 3-2 over the Phoenix Coyotes....GO WINGS!

Hi there yourself -- I finally remembered my forum password.

I'm still, however, looking for a snack option for us "Life after the diet"-ers with dairy allergies and wheat allergies...when you're limited to one fruit, can't eat more than a bit of grains, and can't eat cheese, what do you do instead of "a cracker with a slice of cheese"?

The rice cracker and turkey is my standard. I can have NO dairy of any kind, and I'm actually looking for a FRUIT replacement -- something sweet. My body doesn't like Soy, nor does it like Stevia & Splenda...I'm not allergic to it, but I don't feel good when I eat it.

The hardest part of this for me was going from the five fruits a day on re-feed to ONE on life after the diet. Fruit (the three allowed during the diet and the five allowed on re-feed) was what made this diet work for me: I'd been denied it for so long with my foray into "low carb dieting" that every time it's a treat.

I'm looking for a SWEET snack that doesn't give me hives :-)
