DAY 1(3)
Can't believe it is finally here on the 1st of December, I am at goal weight, and can officially start refeed, I thought to get down to goal weight would be impossible - but here I am.
I felt so naughty this morning having fresh blueberries and yoghurt.
I have lost
26.1 kilograms in 21weeks and 4 days
Bust - 17 cm
Waist - 26 cm
Hips - 21 cm
Have gone down from size 16 to size 10.
I have 18 days of refeed, they are :-
3-9, 11,12,13,14,15,17,20,21,23,26,29,30.
I have 30gm of old protein and 40gm of old veges to add to my existing allocation and I will divide that up between lunch and dinner.

DAY 2(4)
Thankyou for your support guys, will get hubby to take some photos soon for me to post.
I get to add
30gm of old protein
40gm of old vege
1 good fruit
1 slice of bread + 2 crackers
I lost a further 100gm on this mornings weigh but I find I am eating the extra food with a sence of anxiety, after over 21 weeks of being so regimented away from these foods they are being approached with caution. It is certainly not with excitment but it is eaten with enjoyment. I am on day shift now for at least 7 months if not permanantly, so it should be easier to maintain a balance especially as I am alot more active than on nightshift, and also better for my hormones.
I again had 30gm of old protein and 40gm of old veges to added to my existing allocation which I divided up between lunch and dinner. The one good fruit and a slice of bread and 2 crackers, the optional 3 portions of crackers are removed.
I so enjoyed the blueberries with my yoghurt I had some more today, I reserved a few and made some conserve by slowly cooking them in the microwave and adding a little sweetener when reduced enough, was very enjoyable on my bread. Not sure if I can divide my added fruit into different meals, have asked my consultant so will report back on that one when I know. Hope so cos I would also like to do that with blackberries, and I want to save my slice of bread till tea time.

Hi refeed buddy!! :comfort: That is so great that you are on during the day now. Wonder how your body will deal with that? Hope that is a smooth transititon for you.
Regarding the fruit. I remember things that are typed on the board from months ago. Really weird. But it stated that you can have up to 2 fruits at one time. It is good that you are checking just incase but the days we have to eat 5 fruits in a day I think I might have to double up sometimes. Especially since you are dividing it out I don't see an issue but you just never know.
I will chat with you tomorrow!

FIVE fruits in ONE day??? Are you serious??? I'm not sure I'll be able to do that plus the added other food, too! A year ago I'd have had no problem, but I can't imagine that today!!
This is really an experience, isn't it!?
Phyllis

Isn't it crazy!! Shasha says to really try to do it because you need to get your body use to all the new foods you will be eating. It happens slowly which is good!!

Wow ladies, you are both such inspirations. And it's great to hear about what awaits the rest of us once we finally reach goal. I'm sure its hard to imagine eating 5 fruits a day but it sounds really really good right now :innocent4: Yummy. And you got to have some bread! Wow, was it fantastic? Of course it was. Yummilicious!!!!!!

DAY 3(5)
Lost a following 100gm this am, amazing.
I get to add
60gm of old protein
40gm of old vege
1 good fruit
1 slice of bread + 2 crackers
Had yogurt with blueberries again, so yum, again I kept some aside to make the conserve for my bread at tea time.
Crackers for morning tea.
For lunch at work I had chicken with lemon, with a salad.
Apple after work.
Wow, I have just had tea and feel so full, with added meat and veg for tea tonight, followed by a slice of bread with blueberry conserve.
I have already prepared tomorrows lunch for work, but after that I am going to add most if not all of the extra protein and vege to my lunch salad, and will revisit that decision when the bread increases.
The consultant got back to me and dividing the fruit (not the number, but a portion) over different meals is acceptable, so I have some blackberries aside for day 5, for breakfast and then blackberry conserve after tea - YUM.
Regardless of the times I have read it on different threads and in the guide I still had some confusion over the weight gain issue, and wanted to be absolutely clear in my own head.
I found there response was the clearest I have seen so I thought it was worth posting
If you gain 1 kg in 1 day you go back 2 days. But, if you gain 500 grams today, another 500 grams tomorrow, you do not go back. The going back is valid for 1 kg in 1 day gained only
Pam hope all is going as well for you, ta for the info regarding the fruit, adding half a lemon as in the juice on my chicken or seafood gives me flavour and also gives me another half fruit, the fruit I was refering to was not the amount but the actual portion when it came to berries, but again thanks. Phyllis, you are right it is alot of fruit, especially when afterwards we drop to one. Must admit two portions of berries in one sitting wouldn't be a problem but 2 apples- another story.
This is really great guys and worth getting to the end for. It has given me a program I can live to, and it is a great not only for your waist line but your self esteem, and surfer girl I see you will be joining us soon, it is worth getting to the end and not jumping the gun as the last couple of weeks I lost more waist measurement than bust or hip, which was probably a good load of bad adipose fat.

Sharon,
Regarding the weight gain issue. I asked this exact question to Shasha a month or two back because I was a little confused.
First, always go by your goal weight. My goal weight is 120. If you go up 1.8 pounds (121.8) ignore it. If you hit 122 go back two days on the diet. Now this is the part she really explained to me. What happens when we go below our goal weight. Let's say you weighed in and lost .6 pound and you are now 119.4 pounds. 119.4 is your new goal weight not the 120. The highest you then can go up to is 121.2. If you get to 121.4 you will need to go back two days on plan. hope this helps clear everything up.
I love all the new foods I am getting. I almost find myself obsessed with what I am getting next. Cookie bake is so much fun. We get together with family and friends and we all make our favorite recipes. Then everyone gets to take a couple tins full of different cookies home with them. It is nice because we don't do it here and there won't be tons of the ones I love here. I think I will take some (small amount) of fudge and chocolate chip cookies and freeze them and only have one or two a week after I am done.
Also, a holiday dinner just was planned for work on the 19th. Crossing my fingers that I don't have to redo any days. If I have to it won't be a huge deal because my portions at that time will be pretty big!! I will just take a good dessert home for a couple days later. :)
Sharon

Pam,
When I look what the consultant has said, and it is word for word quote, it is not from goal weight but from a day to day basis, have another read on what the consultant says, it is different and I feel is stated very clearly, I was no longer unsure when I got there email, and they should be our first port of call on these issues, sorry Shasha not the forum, I asked specifically about goal weight and no it is day to day only. I looked more at what Shasha said as being your goal weight for afterwards as you still needed to loose fat and you should aim at going back to that afterward refeed whenever you gain.
Off to work will touch base tonight.

Just out of curiosity, is it back in the reefed or back on the original diet?
lfingers11
12-03-2008, 01:47 PM
We are talking about refeed. We don't ever go back to the original diet unless we put on alot of weight which I won't do!! After refeed we go no carb for 48 hours if we go up on the scale a little to get back to goal weight.
Umm.....So I could gain one pound everyday and never have to repeat any days. Ekkk!! I am really confused and that sounds a little scary. Well, I am loosing right now so hopefully I won't have to worry about that. I am even on my cycle so this is definately a happy dance time. :party1:
Regarding p90x, I have a friend that has been doing it and she looks amazing. she has 3 or 4 kids and one is a newborn. I will take pics if I do it and maybe I will wear a tank and shorts. :)

DAY 4(6)
gained 200gm
I get to add
60gm of old protein
80gm of old vege
1 good fruit
1 slice of bread + 2 crackers
Had yogurt with blueberries again, keeping some aside to make the conserve for my bread at tea time.
Crackers for morning tea.
For lunch at work I had prawns with lemon, with a salad.
Forgot to take my apple for after work, and had a few messeges to do in town so didn't eat one.
Stir fry mince and veges for tea, followed by a slice of toast with blueberry conserve.
Apple for supper.
Pam
Double Ekkk,
I know what you mean it is a scary thought, obviously they don't expect it to happen, otherwise I would think they would cover that in the guide, I have lost 200gm and gained back 200gm, but I know I am approaching that time( the men are so lucky not to have to factor that in), so its a wait and see approach, and trust the good Doctor.
My son has been watching the infomercials on T.V. on the p90x, but I understand you need a pull up bar and a variety of weights, him and I are looking at getting some weights when I finish, he is missing the gym at school, he went every lunch break to work out. Will be interested to see how you go if you decide to take the program on.
CohenInAz
As Pam has said it is for the refeed but what I have directly quoted from the consultant was from when I asked for further clarification once starting the refeed, it will be worth taking note of for your own future reference, as you are doing so well you will be here soon.
Catch you tomorrow guys
Hey Sharon,
You and Pam are a great inspiration, cant wait for re-feed...mmmmmm bread and jam, its making my mouth water just thinking about it.
It must be great to have all those goodies to reintroduce into your diet. Will keep an eagle eye on your progress.
Take care

DAY 5(7)
Maintaining at 53kg
I get to add
60gm of old protein
80gm of old vege
2 good fruits
1 slice of bread + 2 crackers
Yoghurt and blackberries for breakfast
Rice crackers for morning tea
For lunch had salad and prawns again - forgot my lemon but still tasted really good.
Decided to divide my addition up 3/4 for lunch and 1/4 for tea as with the bread I was very full. (60gm protein, 80gm vege extra).
Apricot and a nectarine after work (they weren't that big but with a drink too - boy am I full).
For tea will have beef and vege stirfry , followed by toast and blackberry conserve.
An apple for supper.
Zee if it helps then you are most welcome, and yes the bread and jam - mmmm I am looking forward to blackberry tonight. It seems very indulgent after all our hard work to get here.
Cohen - I think a P90x ripped nurse on the kidz ward might scare the children{bat}{lol}. I do want to tone up though, my lad is gonna find out the cost for here in NZ. But weights will certainly be on the shopping list:weights:.

DAY 6(8)
Lost 100gm
I get to add
60gm of old protein
80gm of old vege
2 good fruits
1 slice of bread + 2 crackers
Yoghurt and blueberries for breakfast (can't get past it cos it is fast for first thing in the am and I enjoy it - but have been full but hungry afterwards which I didn't use to be before I added the new fruit, the rice crackers for morning tea settle it down nicely, when I go up the road to the supermarket tomorrow will get some kiwi fruit as I don't find they trigger hunger and I haven't had any for a little while and I want to mix my choice up a bit)
Rice crackers for morning tea
For lunch had a tomato onion and cheese toastie, with salad of lettuce and cucumber with the rest of the cheese mixed through, was soooo nice, didn't have any cheese for the last month of my program so it is good to reintroduce it - and tasty).
An apple for afternoon tea.
For tea had steak with stir fry veges with fresh parsley and marjoram, was not too much as I had the bread for lunch. (all extra 60gm protein, 80gm vege extra).
Have been out at a 1st birthday and ran out of time to sneak in another piece of fruit for supper, I had a sleep in so my meals have been late to maintain my 5 hours between, back to a 6am start tomorrow, so I'll pick back up on my fruit.
Tomorrow I plan to have my main meal at mid day - and 2 toasties for tea - the same as today plus a cheese and pineapple one (am I looking forward to that- you bet ya).
TODAY HAS BEEN A GOOD DAY
mmmmmmmm.... looks yummy! Great to see what is install later on!:innocent4:
Good on ya!

DAY 7(9)
Back to 53 kg.
I get to add
90gm of old protein
80gm of old vege
2 good fruits
2 slices of bread + 2 crackers
Yoghurt and blueberries for breakfast.
Rice crackers for morning tea
For lunch had made chicken soup the night before with all the extra protein and veges ( 90g old protien, 80g old vege), and a nectarine.
An apple on the way home from work.
Two toasties for tea, one of onion, tomato and cheese, the other was cheese and pineapple, with salad, followed by the rest of the pineapple.
An apple for supper.
The toasties have been a really tasty change, am really enjoying them, but the cafe toaster is not doing a great job so I am going to have them again today but put the bread in the toaster, then add the toppings, then under the oven grill and brown them better, did add a picture but they looked a bit pastie (still really tasty though), so deleted it and will put the new and improved pic in today. (pic appears to not want to be deleted so may end up a comparitive study.
P.S. has anybody else lost their ability to use the alphabet colour selection.

I get to add
90gm of old protein
120gm of old vege
1 good fruit and 1 bad fruit
2 slices of bread + 2 crackers
Yoghurt and blueberries for breakfast.
Rice crackers for morning tea
I know, I know I'm boring
For lunch I had two onion, tomato and cheese toasties, the lettuce is an iceburg and added the extra little bit of cheese left over.
So yummy and a late lunch so was quick and easy to prepare.
Much better with toasting and the oven grill.
Managed to pick a few strawberries from our tunnel house that hadn't been knobbled by the lads - beautiful
Afternoon tea had an apple
For tea had porterhouse steak and vege stirfry with garlic with all the extra (90g old protein, 120g old vege)
Had more meat than the guys, what a switch around.
An orange after tea (I used some of it for tomorrows lunch for work).
Me still have no colour

120gm of old vege
1 good fruit and 1 bad fruit
3 slices of bread
Yoghurt and blueberries for breakfast.

An apple for afternoon tea.
For tea I made a beef casserole dish, just with beef, veges and fresh herbs (60gm extra old protein and 60gm extra old vege). Toasted my bread and nibbled on it after tea cos I forgot to have it with my tea, still enjoyed ++ even with nothing on it.
Pam
I'm actually going up and down but hovering around my goal weight, loose a bit, gain a bit, but Tom is due to come a visiting in the next couple of days so it may make a difference.
Have spent the evening making truffles for xmas and have been very good and none have passed my lips, the boys tell me how wonderful they are but I will just have to wait. I have a break for 1 week from work next week, I am so looking forward to it, am trying to get a few jobs done prior so I am not rushing around and can relax for a few days and potter around home. Tommorrow the local supermarket is having its xmas night so hubby and I am off to spend our xmas club money - fun, except I'll have to stay away from the free tasting -

DAY 10(14)
Up 200gm - double Aaahhh!!!!
I get to add
120gm of old protein
160gm of old vege
1 Good fruit and 1 bad fruit
3 slices of bread
Yoghurt and blueberries for breakfast.
No time for morning tea except for a quick cup of coffee.
For lunch had a sandwich with chicken (extra 60gm of old protein) tomato, cucumber and mozzarella cheese (am now mixing proteins, and as long as I don't increase my cheese allowance), toasted it in the ward toastie press - soooo nice, and the cucumber was surprizingly very nice - a scrummy warm crunch that is worth repeating, the rest of my veges as a salad (extra 80gm of old vege). A few strawberries (bad fruit) someone bought in from their garden - perfect finish.
An apple for afternoon tea once I got home from work.
For tea will have beef /venison (extra 60 old protein to mix) and veges (extra 80gm of old vege), and a slice of toast with tomato.
Piece of fruit this evening ? see what I come back with from the supermarket - ? a nectarine.

I am so jealous that your fruits are in season right now. In ohio it is so hard to find some of these fruits and I am just dying to find a plum. The watermelon, strawberries I have been able to find and they were yummy today. I am almost ready to go to bed. I have been thinking all day how I am going to enjoy mixing those proteins tomorrow!! Have a great day!

12-10-2008, 05:44 PM
OK...see, maybe that's a good thing that I'm such a pokey loser.....my refeed should come during the summer here in Michigan...easier to find those fruits then. A silver lining to my cloud of slow weightloss hanging over me!!! :eyebrow:

DAY 11(15)
Reasuringly stayed the same weight over the 24 hours.
I get to add
120gm of old protein
160gm of old vege
2 bad fruits
3 slices of bread
Yoghurt and fresh cherries for breakfast.
My extra allowance of protein and veges was the same as yesterday and was so nice I did the same, which was:-
For lunch had a sandwich with chicken (my extra 60gm of old protein) tomato, cucumber and mozzarella cheese), I toasted it again in the ward toastie press and the rest of my veges as a salad with the extra cheese mixed in that wouldn't fit in the sandwich (with an extra 80gm of old vege).
An apple for afternoon tea once I got home from work (I stick with an apple after work as I find them filling for an afterwork snack and they don't trigger hunger).
For tea I had beef (extra 60 old protein to mix) and veges (extra 80gm of old vege), and a slice of toast with tomato. Followed by fresh cherries ( today I was allowed 2 Bad Fruits)
Am looking forward to having time off work where I don't have to work out my mixing of different things and dividing allowances, especially as I am trying to do 3 meals at once, the guys tea, my tea and the lunch for tomorrow, and when things are changing on a daily basis I keep having to check that I've got it all correct. and cos it is starting to look sooo much I keep questioning myself, ode for one meal at a time.
The fruit is just coming into season, sorry you guys are missing out, but just think that when it does you won't have to restrict and measure.
Still a bit early for NZ plums.
Pam hoped you enjoyed your mix of proteins.
Phyllis - you are doing sooo well on the program, you are so positive and seeing the bright side, won't be long and you will have your own refeed thread.
Still no colour - maybe you are right Pam and you don't get it on refeed.
Have a great day guys and catch you in 24.

DAY 12 (17)
Have lost 300gm overnight - whew
Am 100gm above goal weight.
Today I get to add
80gram old Protein & 40gm of New protein
200gm of old veges
2 bad fruit
3 slices of bread
50ml of milk (but have to deduct from the daily protein allowance.
Had yoghurt and cherries again for breakfast.
Can't be bothered cooking at 6am, and not tired of yoghurt at all.
For lunch had a sandwich with lamb as my extra 40 gm of new protein) tomato, cucumber and mozzarella cheese), I toasted it again in the ward toastie press (too nice to have any other way) and the rest of my veges as a salad with the extra cheese mixed in that wouldn't fit in the sandwich (with an extra 67gm of old vege).
Home grown strawberries brought in today again from one of my collegues - nice to indulge in a few after my yummy lunch.
Afternoon tea had an apple
For tea had diced chicken breast with the added 80gm of old protein, when nearly cooked added half a diced orange, my vege allowance of an extra 134gm veges, when nearly done added the rest of the orange.
Forgot to keep a few gms aside for tomato on my toast, so ate it as is - still nice.
I'm trying to keep the foods that they are introducing that may trigger a significant insulin response either with my meal or after it like they suggest in maintainance. Not rigid about it but concider it when I plan my meals.
Tired today, pleased am now on holiday and looking forward to a sleep in tomorrow - sigh.

DAY 13 (20)
Have lost 300gm again overnight - double whew
Am 200gm below goal weight now.
I have swung 600gm during my refeed time so far, from 200gm below to 400gm above to 200gm below again.
Today I got to add
40gram old Protein & 80gm of New protein
200gm of old veges
2 bad fruit
3 slices of bread
50gm of carbs
50ml of milk (but have to deduct from the daily protein allowance.
Had yoghurt and blueberries for breakfast.
An apple for morning tea.
For lunch had a sandwich with lamb as my extra 80 gm of new protein with tomato, cucumber and mozzarella cheese, I toasted it again and the rest of my veges as a salad with the left over cheese allowance (with an extra 134 gm of old vege). Use Iceburg lettuce and drunken woman lettuce - don't you love the name - I just had to grow it with a name like that)
Found a ripe apricot on our tree and enjoyed.
Afternoon tea had my 50gm of carbs, I chose popcorn to ge more bang for my buck, to play around with taste I mixed 50/50 powder sweetner with cinnamon and sprinkled it onto the popcorn, nice taste, doesn't stick but was worth it for the treat. Later on may try some spices.
For tea had beef with the added 40gm of old protein, my vege allowance with an extra 67gm of veges as a salad and as fried mushrooms, Remembered to keep a few gms aside for tomato on my toast.
Strawberries for dessert, they had been frozen so defrosted them slowly in the microwave, added some powder sweetner then gave them a minute high blast and went VERY scummy.
Caught catching up on the Cohen forum after work by one of my boys, (and no it's not my coke).
A great day pottering around home, looking forward to doing the same tomorrow, especially in the garden.

It looks like we are back on the same day again. Yesterday all I got to add was 40 veg but I think that gave my body time to adjust and that is why I dropped a little weight.
Hummmmmm......are you sure that isn't your coke? :) Just teasing!

DAY 14 (21)
Have lost another 600gm again overnight - WHAT THE!!!
Am 800gm below goal weight now - WOW
Today I got to add
120gm of New protein
160gm of old veges and 40gm of new veges
2 bad fruit
3 slices of bread
50gm of carbs
50ml of milk (but have to deduct from the daily protein allowance).
Had the same as yesterday for Breakfast, morning tea, and basically for lunch - had only 40gm of the new protein in the form of lamb, and 67 gm of extra old vege and an apricot.
Afternoon tea really enjoyed my popcorn with the sweetner and cinnamon, tomorrow I am going to go savoury.
For tea had beef as my old and lamb as my new with added 133 gm of vegetables as a salad, part of that was 40gm of new vegetable, which I chose grated carrot to mix in to the salad(don't know about what happened to yesterdays new vege, maybe was so excited about the popcorn - forgot the vege - hehe)
Tomato on toast.
Strawberries for dessert, prepared the same as yesterday too.
Hi Pam,
Me sure about the coke :innocent4: actually I find it too sweet for me and haven't had it for years, also have always thought of it as empty calories.
I'm glad I am back down in weight too, going up was a bit anxiety producing, but hey I'm ok, the family can't get over the amount of food I am eating - neither can I.
out of our four days left we have two that are the same , tomorrow and our last day. Can't believe it is only a few more days to go. How did your cookie bake go?
Hi Cohen,
Glad you are finding my refeed notes to be of benefit, I promise you it is soooo worth all the effort, As now I have gotten rid of all the viseral fat around my abdomin, my body seems to be able to handle food alot more positively and more of it than what I did pre diet, I can see why you have to get down to where the good Dr tells us - become a lean mean burning machine.

The kids (all 7 of them) had a wonderful time at cookie day and I kind of sat in the chair, held a newborn and talked the whole time. I LOVE BABIES!! They made sugar cookies and chocolate covered pretzels with their gradparents and afterwards they went to see Polar express at the movie theatre here in town. They had a great time and I got some sleep last night!! One more cookie day to go and hopefully I will be able to taste a little of that on Saturday. I plan on making fudge:) Yummm.
Glad you are down on weight....I can't say the same! Ekkk!!

DAY 15 (23)
Have lost another 300gm again overnight - goodness gravy
Today I got to add
120gm of New protein
120gm of old veges and 80gm of new veges
2 bad fruit
3 slices of bread, one slice with margarine or butter
50gm of carbs
50ml of milk (but have to deduct from the daily protein allowance).
Breakfast had yoghurt with strawberries
Morning tea had an apple
For lunch - toastie (as usual) with 80gm of the new protein in the form of lamb, with cheese as my base selection, 40gm of carrot as my new vege (so nice to have a bit of colour other than the predominant green in my salad for a change) and 93 gm of extra old vege
Followed by a banana.
Afternoon tea enjoyed my popcorn with dried garlic and salt (still doesn't stick but does add as it falls into the crevases and I prefered it to sweet).
For tea had aged beef (115gm) as my old and lamb (40gm) as my new with added 63gm of vegetables as a salad, part of that was the remaining 40gm of new vegetable, again I chose carrot which I finely juliened and had it all as a stirfry with more garlic ( just as well I'm not going to work tomorrow, and hubby has no sence of smell )
Tomato on toast with the added margarine - mmmm.
I GET TO EAT A COOKIE TOMORROW - WOOHOO!!!
Pam
Cookie bake countdown has begun. I'm looking forward to the end of the week too as my girlfriend and I am having a celebratory lunch but at the same time I'm not cos its near the end of my holiday - bitter sweet, two days after that hubby's boss is taking the wives out to high tea, we are going to a posh place out country (english style manor - not been there before) and we are requested to wear a dress and a hat.
So pleased you got a good nights sleep and everyone had a great time. FUDGE = YUM
Wow Sharon,
You are still loosing on re-feed, that is wonderful! Congratulations, you are almost complete you lucky fish.
A question: Do you get to add things like tomato puree and stock cubes etc when you are on re-feed or is that only allowed once you are on maintenance?
Have a great day

Hi Zee - great to hear from you
I know, it is unbelievable, and I do feel very lucky.
Stock cubes are not on the menu nor is tomato puree, you could concider making your own as your quanitities increase, you would have to weigh your tomato then cook and reduce - don't know how much you would have left.
but refeed is only for a short time comparitively and tomato is quite heavy to take from your allocation, depends how bad you want it.
In refeed we are still only adding basic foods, of protein, veges, fruit, adjusting original weights and adding new ones from another selection list, and the carbs we add are plain unseeded breads, potato, rice, pasta, peas, corn, popcorn type of thing, the most potentially complex addition would have to be the biscuit near the end.
(******* - can't write faktory in Pams thread, it keeps ** - can I write it on mine? Nope!!! Bizzare)
Hi Sharon,
Thanks for the info, I'm not really craving tomato, I was just curious.
Before Dr Cohen's I used to eat alot on dishes made with tinned tomatos and tomato puree in the sauces, so just wondering if I should go back to that way of eating when I am done (probably not regularly though)
Enjoy your biscuit tomorrow :party1:

DAY 16 (26)
Have gained 600gm overnight - I am getting motion sickness I am up and down so much.
Today I got to add
160gm of New protein, and take 40gm off the old protein
80gm of old veges and 120gm of new veges
2 bad fruit
3 slices of bread, one slice with margarine or butter
50gm of carbs
50ml of milk (but have to deduct from the daily protein allowance).
AND A COOKIE(no chocolate or filling allowed - choose a lovely one that wasn't too complex from the Italian supermarket - mmmm)
Breakfast had yoghurt with a banana
Morning tea had my cookie and an apple (off for a few appointments so good time to have the treat)
For lunch - it was soo late as the appointments ran long and back to back, so threw something together but is going to mean a late tea, so have choosen to ensure all the breads and carbs are eaten earlier in the day rather than at tea or after - toastie with cheese tomato and onion, and a side salad, didn't muck with any extra as would have started heading toward 9pm for tea (late I know, just as well I had that cookie).
Late afternoon tea enjoyed my popcorn with dried garlic and salt
For tea I plan to have chicken (60gm) as my old and lamb (160gm) as my new ( funny combination I know but I'm using up all my bits of this and that) with added 185gm of vegetables, and 120gm of new vegetable as a stirfry (broccoli and carrot) , I get to eat at 8.30pm - just as well I continue pottering around the kitchen until bed time.
Wonder what impact my mickey mouse day will have on the scales tomorrow?
Zee
Ditto, I cooked alot with tomato, onions and ate ALOT of carrots. so will be watching them as to there impact afterwards, but as on this diet you end up lean, and insulin under better control cos of the lack of viseral fat they may not have the same impact, when I get back to work will have to pose that ? to the consultant (my home computor refuses me to assess .net), but I suppose that is when we find our balance with the diet choices we make, the journey does not end in two days that is for sure, and as all my 'FAT' clothes are gone, gaining weight is not an option (I've kept 1 for a photo).
One of my appointments was with my DR who has not seen me since well before I started, knows the issues I've had with weight and what I thought was my unavoidable road to diabetes - needless to say he was surprized, and has asked for the internet address - so Joe if you look in - great to see you today and thanks +++ for all your positive feedback.
Wow, that is a lot of up and downing on the scales, I guess it is just your body getting used to all the new foods.:hypnotic:
Yay photos! I can't wait, I just love to see the changes, it really is an inspiration.
Well I have gone up 0.2kgs in the last couple of days, I have no idea why as I haven't been doing anything different, hopefully by the end of the week, it will sort itself out.
Congratulations on only having two days left on re-feed, I look forward to seeing your before and after pics.

Sharon,
I am glad you are doing so well. So how was the cookie? I can't wait till tomorrow for that little treat!!
I know what you are saying about your doctor. Mine asked me to loose 20 pounds to help out my pcos and he will be shocked when I come in. The smallest he ever saw me was 25 above the weight I am now. My pcos has not gotten better.....if anything it has gotten extremely painful so I will have to go see him soon. It is bad when your ovulation is more painful than your monthly cycle.
Have a great day.

So many things can affect your weight, and I think one on them is my problem at the moment me excuse me but I think me pipes are a bit clogged, so I'm starting the day with Alpine Tea - a herbal infusion, I don't use it regularly due to its stimulant component which is something you don't want to get your body relient on, but good every so often.
If you haven't done anything diff from the diet I am sure it will sort itself out.
Am going to set the tripod up today and have a photo shoot, hopefully a nice day outside, natural light is kinder on my wrinkles - Hehe.
Pam
The cookie was so nice, I chose Cavallucci it is a spicy walnut biscuit with a touch of aniseed. It is not a 'sweet biscuit' as biscuits can go, and as far as ingrediants go is not complex (they date back to medieval times - its not something I would buy regularly but when xmas shopping I saw them and decided I would treat myself, this family arn't big bikkie eaters so we generally don't have any in the house), they don't give you alot of guidance with what to select, what have you chosen, a home made delight?
Sorry to hear your PCOS hasn't improved but has actually gotten worse:(, I have my fingers crossed for that once your eating more normally and have found your balance things may settle or improve.

Hi Mary,
Great to hear from you and thanks for your support,
We too use skinny, and I have been called skinny, that is if people recognize me, ran into someone I havent seen for at least 6 months in the hospital, said a big gidday, she returned it then asked who I was, you could have knocked her over with a feather, another kept staring at me saying I know I know you cos of your hair (it is below my waist and am noted for it) - its really quite bizzare and funny.
My boys use to call me small mum cos I'm short, now I'm tiny mum.
Great to here from you, and yes I LOVE being called skinny

DAY 17 (29)
Have lost 100gm overnight
Today I got to add
200gm of New protein, and take 80gm off the old protein
40gm of old veges and 160gm of new veges
2 bad fruit
3 slices of bread, one slice with margarine or butter
50gm of carbs
50ml of milk (but have to deduct from the daily protein allowance).
AND A COOKIE
Breakfast had yoghurt with a banana
Morning tea had my cookie
For lunch had 50gm lamb and cheese toastie with added 20gm old vege, 30gm new vege to program vege
Apple.
Afternoon tea enjoyed my popcorn with dried garlic and salt, was going to do fries in the oven but a 200+ gm of potato ended up as 22gm (weigh the cooked ) but decided that it was too late in the day to start kidding myself, I could have eaten 3 generous spuds and OD on calories and kidded myself it was only 50gm.
For tea I had lamb with mint sauce (made with fresh mint, pour some boiling water on, add vinegar and sweetner leave for an hour or so to infuse) 35 gm of beef as old protein with 140gm of old vegetables, and 130gm of new vegetable as a stirfry (good to have an earlier tea tonight)
Got buzy today with the camera, hubby says the top I am wearing wasn't the best choice to show you how much I have lost, but I think its ok, if he gets around to finding a better one, I may take another (but I won't wait for the paint to dry) The blue one as you may have noticed is the same one from the pre program days (and I got bigger) and the jeans - I was muffining over them and were uncomfortable.
I recently was featured in a healthy food mag here in NZ with regard to my decision to loose weight which was so cool

So you get three days of cookies? I am so jealous but I am making a cheesecake tomorrow for Friday. I went out and already bought fat free cream cheese for it. There is a small amount of vanilla cookies for the crust.
That is awesome about the article in the magazine. How cool!!
I think I keep on catching all your unwanted pounds over here. Crossing my fingers it will just fall off again as quickly as it came on.
Take care,
Pam
