I miss it too! My sweet treat is a cut up apple with cinn/nutmeg/splenda/sprite zero... I microwave it for 2 minutes.

When you start thinking about the 'C' word make your mind think of something else like Calvin Kline jeans or some other assosiation when the "C" word pops into your head. I love the apple cinnimon apple thing. I have not tried that yet. I am new too just 16 days out but we will all make it! 22lbs is fantastic! i have a problem with not having anything in my coffee white, creamer, etc. I don't understand if we can have yogurt and riccotta why no soy milk for the coffee. This is where I am getting weak in the knees. Yikes..

My advice to you scorpiorider is to stop questioning why we can have some things and not others. I started doing that (and my husband still does once in a while....he's an engineer and everything has to have a cause and effect and a fix) early in the diet, too, and then realized that I could talk myself into caving into temptation that way. Now I question NOTHING...the diet WORKS and that's all we need to know! Trust Dr. Cohen!! It's not like we have to eat like this for the rest of our lives...eventually we'll be able to add stuff back in and eat somewhat normal again. Hang in there and make the committment!!! BE STRONG!!!

Welcome to the forum and congratulations of your weight loss, excellent work, way to go.
With regard to those tempters, just remember they wont disappear off the shelves while you are on this program (and afterwards I would suggest a good quality dark)
Indulging now will only give you instant gratification but you may also be disappointed in yourself afterwards which may minimize any initail pleasure.
Hang in there it is sooo worth it and try some of the other ideas from fellow forum writers.
Next time you are tempted, go put on something that use to fit you and is now baggy, or something that now fits that didn't - whatever works, then maybe have a nice cold diet sprite (I like mine with a touch of fresh grated ginger).
Again welcome be strong :weights:and hang in there.

Thanks for the sweet treat idea I may try that... Last night my kids had a sadie hawkins dance that I had to go chaperone.. I also made 3 plates of brownies... While making them I didn't even lick my fingers... First time since forever. There was so much junk food there and wasn't even tempted:jumping2:

Chocolate craver, I was looking the other night for you as I read a medical research article regarding chocolate cravings, people who go for a brisk walk of 30-60 minutes are far more likely to resist the temptation to eat chocolate than those who remain sedentary. I know its not a substitute but it may help cope with the cravings until maybe your hormones balance and make you less prone to cravings.
Post diet always an excellent quality (cos you are worth it) dark high cocoa % chocolate, as has less sugar and a little melt in the mouth taste will be far more satisfying.
Good luck.

Can anyone tell me what is the "median" weight loss for the first 4 weeks. I haven't weighed since the first few days. I do my four week weigh in on Friday and don't know what to expect. I just don't want to freak out. Any suggestions???
Thanks!

I know you won't like this but try not to compare yourself to anyone else. I also don't see a ticker so it depends on how much you have to loose ect. You can look and see what I lost at my signature. I came off slower than I wanted but faster than anything else I have done without exercise!!

Hi Paige -

Its really hard to compare like Pam says... it depends on how much you have to lose and how much you followed the diet. I only lost 10lbs the first month but a LOT of inches... and of course people have lost a lot more than that. I lose about 10 a month, so that is good for me. What is good for you will be different. It could be more it could be less.

The only thing you really can controll is being on plan 100%. If you do that, your body will lose weight at the correct pace for it.
