Day 1 of Re-feed: 10/5
Well I was very excited to start my re-fee yesterday, although I couldn't actually tell I was eating more then my original plan. It was obviously psychological. The fact I was allowed more food was great :)

Before I started re-feed I was always very excited to read everyone's re-feed threads, although mine wont be nearly as exciting... I'm doing it so that I can keep track of everything.
-Today I get to add new fruit... I told everyone in my office that I get to have Pineapple today and they kinda just looked at me with the glazed over look. Regardless, I'm super excited!!

Ooo, I am excited for you about being on refeed and also about the pineapple!! I can't wait!! Oh, the days of pineapple, bananas and strawberries!! yummm. I find it fascinating that I am craving fruits more often than chocolate. Just a thought.
Pam
I want more pics too (if you haven't done so yet) since the last one was still above goal weight.

I'm getting used to that glazed over look- LOL! My DSIL was so cute this weekend, she said-well...surely you don't need to bring your own breakfast, we eat healthy- turkey bacon, kashi bars, etc... Congrats on the refeed, I can't wait to be there! :party1:

Yeah Blondie! How exciting! It is fun to be on refeed, and really much easier than it seems when we try to explain it. Enjoy, and congrats!!! My hubby starts Thursday, so I am going to try real hard to do it for a week or so to get down to 115. I should have done that from the start! May I ask, how tall are you? We started with close to the same start weight. (I was 140 before I pigged out the week before I started the diet, eating everything in site just to get it out of my system.:innocent4:)
Excited to hear how it's going for you.

Blondie -- Congratulations on getting down to goal!!

Refeed is fun -- enjoy all the little treats. It's amazing how something as small as being allowed to eat pineapple turns into an occasion for celebration :)

Good job!

Day 2 Re-feed: 10/6
I did very much enjoy my pineapple! Other then that, same as day 1 in re-feed.
:party1: Today however, I get to enjoy a piece of bread with one of my meals!
I am also noticing that the closer I get to ending my program, the more nervous I become! I don't ever want to let my "food addiction" to every have control over me again! I guess all we can every do is take it one day at a time...
Also, I hope to get some new picture up in the next couple days- I'm getting my hair done and think it will be a perfect motivator to get some new pictures :) (we'll see)

Mei Mei- almost forgot... I am 5ft 3 1/4inches... and yes, that 1/4 inch does matter when you are short like me :)
-1PD Friends~ {bighug} Thanks for all the encouragement!

Day 3 Re-Feed: 10/7
Yesterday I was allowed 1 slice of bread, so for dinner I made myself a scrumptious chicken salad sandwich... :hungry: I think I might have to take Shawn's recipe for a breakfast bruschetta, but I might have to wait until the weekend so I'll have time to make it in the morning!
I haven't noticed any bloating, so I don't think bread will affect my body in that way. Also, still maintaining my weight at 114.5
Today's menu- I might just have to repeat from yesterday, since I did enjoy it so much!

That bread is such a treat! Interestingly I haven't been eating bread since coming off of refeed -- perhaps only once or twice. I just don't really miss it for some reason.

A tip on the breakfast bruschetta -- go ahead and dice up all your veggies at dinner the night before. It's really not too time consuming since as you know you're just cutting up a few extra slices of zucchini or yellow squash ...a few extra mushroom slices etc. But in the morning when you're in a rush to get out the door you can toast the bread, then just dump the veggies and cheese on top and broil until it's as "done" as you like! Some fresh basil on top is amazing! Bon apetit! :)

Made it through another re-feed day. Same thing as before... for dinner I switched it up and had a yummy steak salad! I'm not sure if it's because I'm increasing my food intake or because I've been thinking about food more (different ways to prep my food), but I do feel more hungry now than I did when I was on the actual diet. Either way, staying strong and I did notice I dropped a 1/2 lb. So that makes me feel a little better about eating more food!

Remember that many diet buddies felt hungry just before or while starting Refeed. Eventually your refeed amounts are going to be so big that you will likely feel like you're stuffing yourself..... just wait! :) Keep up the good work - you're almost "done" :)

Blondie,
I sure do know what you mean about the 1/4 inch! I think I am closer to 5'3 3/4, but I just decided to callit 5'4. Sure makes me feel taller.

I also know what you mean about nerves. The system does work. I messed around a little the first days off refeed, and my wieght went up a pound, down a pound, then I got serious and reread the after diet rules. I am holding steady, dropping a bit, but eating very sensibly, and very happily. I need to download my pics from my camera and have someone in my family take a post diet one. It just feels so good to be think again.
Anyway, long story, but I wanted you to know that the nerves do go away because we now have the formula. After eating too much on the Mexican food night, I felt so gross that I don't want to feel like that again. Our bodies can't take it unless we train them too. That's one of the other beauties of this diet. And, if you eat carbs at only one meal and follow the rules, you don't regain. You look fantastic in your pics! I'm so happy for you. Continue to enjoy refeed.

Wow, so I know I'm a little behind in updating everyone on my re-feed! I am defiantly enjoying the new food amounts! The extra fruit is also marvelous :), not to mention I'm now allowed to have 2 pieces of bread a day and that has to be the highlight of my life! Since I'm now able to have pineapple I have been making garlic/ginger/pineapple chicken salad, which I will have to say is soo delicious! It almost makes me forget how much I want a Banzai Burger from Red Robin
I'm still at my start of re-feed weight (unlike Shawn, who just couldn't help but loose weight during re-feed)- but as long as I don't gain I'm happy!
-Tomorrow I get to introduce "bad fruits", I've already picked up some bananas so I look forward to that!

I'm Happy to report that all has been well while on the re-feed program! I haven't loss any weight like some of the others, but I have stayed true to my original goal weight! :party1: This Thursday will be my last day and I look forward to enjoying life after diet. Although, I haven't really grasped what that will be. I do know that I will be treating myself to some new clothes and hopefully a gym membership! :weights2: because now that the Oregon rain has returned I will most defiantly NOT be outside much!!
Today is the best day of re-feed yet, I will be enjoying a delicious peanut butter cookie. After looking at many different options, I chose to bake my own, like Shawn, and chose the weight watchers "freezer" recipe but substituted with splenda. It really doesn't have that much peanut butter in it so we'll see how it tastes....

Hi Blondi4Life YOU are a STAR well Done I am so green with envy BUT .... I am about 4 to 5 days from refeed I am just waiting for the REFEED from DR COHEN and CO!!Ha Ha!!I must admit I am not so sure I will ever be eating chips and sugar and the likes I will be looking for a more healthier route through the MINE field of JUNK FOOD!!!Yeah I am also a bit nervous of life after DR COHEN I eqaute it like being let out of JAIL where YOU ate a certain way and now YOU are free in a wide world of HUGE temptations GRANTED I am more aware of what bad foods are and what they can do to me but like people whom have been in JAIL for a LONG time they sometimes feel like slipping back into JAIL where no big decisions NO live changing decision's had to be MADE?Have a FANTASTIC DAY!!!:innocent3:

Congratulations Blondie!!

You've done it! I'm so excited for you! Now we get to watch you keep it off. I'll be looking for pointers from you experienced folks. :)

Pumbza, I still have a long way to go but I feel your pain! I, too, am nervous about being "out of jail" someday. I don't ever want to gain this weight back. I'm figuring that we need a "game plan" of how to eat. Kind of like rules for everyday living that I will make myself stick to. Otherwise the weight will just creep back on... You'll be another one that I will be watching. Especially for my hubby since he can relate to you more than me.

Blessings!
Nicole
