Well folks, I thought I'd give an update on refeed. Brownyn must be about done by now with it. I was given 19 days total to follow and now have 6 more to go! I started the refeed 1.5 pounds over goal but due to a cruise leaving port the 11th of July, decided I better get started. (Thanks for the encouragement from some of you to do that!) The refeed program has been amazing and I am now 1 pounds UNDER goal weighing in at 139. Just to give you an idea of what I'm eating (they said eat it all so thats what I'm doing with pleasure!) today I added this to my original diet (spread out over the day in my meals) - 80 grams of old protein, 40 grams of new protein, 200 grams of old veggies, 2 fruits over and above my original fruit snacks, 3! slices of bread (no more crackers although they were delicious).

Every morning I step on the scale and go wow! this diet is the BOMB! I cannot believe I didn't gain any weight on what I ate yesterday! :) Yesterday I snuck out to Kohl's (ok so I've spent some bucks there in the last month) because my new size 10 shorts were a big baggy.... I thought surely an 8 is not possible for me..... So for grins I grabbed a pair just like the 10's and went and tried them on and damn if they didnt fit!!! I was like, omg I have GOT to have me a couple of these.... :p

Hi Leskiya!!! I know!!! It's the most amazing thing ever, huh? Every day I was so nervous that I would have gained some weight but instead it either went down or held steady. Do you feel like it's too much food yet? And how about all the math involved here towards the end?? I was already tired of weighing my portions and then the more you go along the refeed the more complicated every day! Still, it is SO worth it!! Today is my last day of refeed. My family and I are going to the beach overnight taking our son to Legoland, Ca tomorrow. I feel so free!!! I'm going to eat my 1PD breakfast and lunch and will take my snacks. We'll go out to dinner tonight and I will order diet-approved meal. And then tomorrow I will wake up and will be all done!!!

I'm so happy for you that you will be done by your cruise. What a wonderful way to kick off your new life! And WOOOO HOOOOO to your size 8's!!!! You must be on cloud 9! I'm so proud of you and I'm sure your family is so thrilled for you and thankful that you've taken charge of your health this way. There is absolutely no going back for us, huh??!!!

{hi} there Leskiya & Bronwyn

OH YEAH!!!! I told you girls if you HANG IN THERE, it would all be WORTH IT!!! :party3:

I am thrilled that you are both doing so very well and that you are sharing your experiences with everyone… imagine how encouraging your posts are!

Leskiya: To fit into a size 8 is any girls dream come true :cloud9: WELL DONE!!!

Bronwyn: I’m so very happy for you!!! {wave} How about you take a beautiful holiday picture and come share that with all of us???

Girls I just have one little tip and please do not take this negative but: tomorrow you will NOT be all done - in fact, you will NEVER be all done until you are dead - because you will always need to watch what you eat and how you eat it - the big key will be to daily apply those rules in the back of your Re-feeding Guide - so, I want you to change your mind about the end of your diet and know when tomorrow / the last day comes: YOU'VE ONLY JUST BEGAN!!!

Well this afternoon we leave for vacation and I am packing my food to take on the plane rides tomorrow :) They don't feed us any more anyhow so thats a no brainer. I will be glad to be done with the refeed though Brownyn as it has been a challenge with all the weighing and adding and subtracting different stuff! My weight is 1 pound below goal and refeed has been great! I am ready for my cookie this afternoon and tomorrow. Yesterday was butter on my bread and that tasted a bit odd. LOL

Anyway, I'll check in after our cruise.... I will be hunting for the healthy menus! Take care, all of you!

Yay Leskiya!! I'm so happy for you that you were able to do this before your trip. It'll make it so much nicer for you to not have to worry about weighing food and getting everything just right. Be sure to let us know when you are back and how you're doing. Bon Voyage!!

Wow I am so green with ENVY "END of REFEED" imagine that it just seems so far far away!:innocent4:But it couldn't happen to a nicer group of people and you all deserve it you all worked so very HARD from what I have read and it must be GREAT to taste the JOY of VICTORY and accomplishment!Yes Shasha you are right but I think once you have gone from being OBESE or OVERWEIGHT it will be NOT ALL that difficult to keep an eye on your weight BECAUSE to go back to what you all were is not a OPTION AT ALL!It's better than GRADUATION you have all GRADUATED in LIFE and PASSED with COM LAUDE(Flying Colours)

{hi} there Leskiya

:party3: YAAAAAAAAYYYY {wave}

{goodjob} We are so very, VERY PROUD OF YOU!!!

LOSING 55 (OR IS IT 56 POUNDS?) IS A FANTASTIC ACCOMPLISHMENT!!!

WE ARE SO VERY HAPPY FOR YOU!!! GREAT GOING GIRL!!!

LOL about your experience with butter…
You will notice that your taste has probably changed and that you probably do not really like some of the things, that you use to eat, anymore… just like Bronwyn did…

Please stay on in the FORUM and share all your post diet experiences… we'd for sure love to see your AFTER photo!!!

For your trip, remember it’s the starch that you need to be careful of!!! And please drink plenty of water... it always helps... You've worked very hard and we all hope you have a fabulous time with your loved ones!!!

Please come back safely and then… come right back here and tell us what happened, that way I can help guide you along the new road you are on… perhaps share some tips as you go…

LESKIYA, this post is written with tons of admiration and appreciation for a JOB VERY WELL DONE and with lots of love from your friend: Shasha xx

Ok girls and guys, I'm back from our two week vacation and tomorrow will examine the damage, as for sure there is some. I am restarting the diet in the morning :). I am hoping the damage isnt too bad but my size 8's are snug today. I remember reading in the forum somewhere from Sasha that the diet is good as long as you have less then 9 pounds to lose and if it you go back on the diet for more then two weeks, you need to do the entire refeed again as it was given before. If its less then two weeks then your ok to not refeed.
Shasha can you talk to this or direct me to where that post was done? I saw it a couple weeks ago. I am thinking I've got about 5 pounds of corrective work to do!

Hope everyone else is doing great! Hugs for you all!

{hi}Pumbza, hang in there we will be there sooner than you think. What sweet joy that will be when we reach our goal. LesKia, it'll be alright, you will get back on the right track and lose that 5 lbs and more.

Hi Leskiya! Welcome back!! I thought of you last week and wondered how you did on your cruise. Those 5 pounds will melt away quicker than you realize. Do the 48 hours no carbs and follow the diet guidelines and you'll be fine. I haven't had to go back "on diet" full force, but just make my 1PD meals w/out measuring and the weight has fallen back off quickly. I don't plan on making a regular habit of overindulging, but nice to know that if you have a special occasion and/or trip to take you can and then you can come out okay. I'm on "damage control" this week too after my week off last week. Tell me, did you feel pretty badly afterwards? Physically, I felt so gross, low energy, and stomach not happy with me at all. Now that I'm back on track I feel great. Hope you had a GREAT time on your cruise and we're glad you're back and checking in here.

{hi} there Leskiya & Bronwyn

Welcome back!!! :love7:

Just like with Bronwyn, I’m so glad you’re here and accountable… as I told Bronwyn, gaining a bit on holiday does not mean failing… it just means THANKFULLY YOU’RE NOT ON HOLIDAY ALL THE TIME!!!

NOW is the time to act and eliminate those unwanted pounds!!! {pan} First line of defense is your 48 hour no starch, - easiest way to summaries this is: eat similar to diet but you don’t need to weigh your foods… do drink your water… often when we go on holiday, that’s the one thing we tend to neglect…

If 4 pounds is gained quickly go back on your old diet – and yes, if on diet for 14 days you will need to do the entire Re-feeding Program again…

I’m sorry but I really cannot say where the post is that you remember reading… I’ve written over 1000 posts and get giddy just trying to remember where what is ~ lately there have been quiet a few posts regarding this - how about doing a SHOW POSTS search with key words like starch etc. There is also LIFE AFTER THE DIET from Bronwyn, during Maya’s Re-feeding we discussed things quiet a bit…

SPEAKING OF WHO: MAYA: WHERE ARE YOU?????????????

Leskiya: Please keep us posted and let me know if you have any questions... it's great to have you here! :flirt:
