Hi All Diet Buddies I am Back and My daughters 21st was awesome and photos shall follow and thanks for your initial well wishes it went well!I was on DR COHEN full on and I have some GOOD news I have lost a Further 10Kg/22Lbs I am now 3Kg/6.6lbs from refeed and I am pretty happy only problem picked up a cold from the KID's but that won't dampen my spirits so with in a week or Two I will Join the ranks of REFEED!!!Ha Ha!:innocent4:Hip Hip Hooray I can't believe I have 5Kg/11lbs left to reach my GOAl WEIGHT after nearly 4 and a Bit months thats just awesome NOW I go into the BIG BAD world of refeed and LIFE AFTER DR COHEN I must say I am a BIT NERVOUS but with YOU DOLLS and GUYS out there I KNOW I CAN DO IT!!!OOPS must go to WORK and KILL ALL THE RAGING FIRES speak to YOU later !!!Ha Ha!!Have a FANTASTIC DAY!:innocent3:

Way to Go PUMBZA!!!! I know how you feel about being Nervous about life after 1PD... all we can do is take it 1 day at a time and try to apply what we've learned during 1PD to our everyday life! Awesome job and can't wait to see the newest photos!!!

Hey papa bear, i'm right there with you. I weigh in on Monday and i'm pretty sure i'll be at my goal weight. I'm like you a little afraid of refeed but i guess we will see. I'll let you know Monday where i'm at. I know i really don't need to lose too much more because i'm pretty small now. I am in a size 6 and pretty happy with that. I'm so proud of you, you have done soooooooooooo awesome. LOL MIMI

Just for the record, it’s normal to feel a bit nervous about Re-feeding – most people do. :comfort:
It’s like you’ve come this far and you don’t want to mess it all up again.
The truth is that despite your feelings this program works!

Hi all diet buddies sorry for delay but work fires took longer than I thought!!Ha Ha!:innocent4:I have some time now and I wan't to attach YES I eventually decided to buy some new work cloth's two pairs of each some jeans and some shorts because winter is over here and now its starting to cook we are having some warm times close to 40 degrees C which is a nice change!!!I did see my doctor for a overall medical and he reckons I am healthier than I have ever been he wen't straight to the web to check Dr Cohen's site out because he couldn't believe the weight I lost on his FILE I am still 157Kg and I am now 103Kg so he was shocked so were the ladies in the reception there were JUST questions all round!!!Ha Ha!!!My daughter's friends still remember me being HUGE and my daughter was scared to see me she could for the first time actually put her arms around me fully when we HUGGED and she was blown away and couldn't just stop looking at me!!!The 21st was a real success and my daughter loved it I will post some pictures here!Anyway as I was saying my daughters friends just couldn't get enough of how thin I had become!!Yes I drank water all night and had eaten smoked chicken (without sugar) and cucumber for supper I stuck to the DIET like a GOOD BOY even though everyone was eating and drinking and enjoying!!!Ha Ha!Have a GREAT time and I can't wait to get onto refeed and I wan't to keep a daily dairy for the next 30 days like Unforgettablejoy has been doing!I know its going to be tough but I am ready I think and my fat% is now only 24% I have a further 4% to go 20% is my GOAL fat % and I am close!Its amazing to think that I thought 110Kg was enough for me well I am 7Kg past that so called GOAL weight now!!!Ha Ha!!Have a GREAT DAY I am still working on my before and after pictures should be ready soon!!!Have a GREAT DAY!!!

Hi all diet buddies hope all is well sorry for my absence I missed YOU all terribally but my BLOOOMING internet decide to do what the financial markets did and collapse and as per usual everyone is blaming everyone else I am use to this!I may still be struggling for the next couple of days so I am going to just stick to hopefully my last week on this thread I will be moving next week on Wednesday to my refeed thread I am going to try and KEEP the thread updates daily to help the new people and the people not on refeed to help ease people into refeed!I should start on about the 28th October 2008 plus or minus only glitch in refeed is on about the 10th or 11th I will be going to the bush for 5 days so I will halt and stick to that refeed amount for the days I am away and just ignore the days I missed and start counting refeed days from when I get back because I can't see me weighing myself in the BUSH it could be difficult!!!Ha Ha!:innocent4:When I am back I will continue till I finish which I should do before I disappear to a nice lodge for my 50th Birthday celebrations!!!Ha Ha!!I have been WOWED by people at all events people can just not believe it and of course SHASHA they think I am to thin but when I tell them my doctor has said that I am in the best CONDITION I have ever been in they just sort of look unbelieving and just shake there heads BUT I am having a lot of requests for the DR COHENs web site I am pointing people in the right direction and have offered my help to get them healthy I KNOW I KNOW like SHAWN says they will just not do it but I am going to PAY IT FORWARD if it KILLS ME!!!Ha Ha!!!I am just stoked I can't believe that I have been on this diet for 118 days nearly a third of a year and nearly 60Kgs/132lbs down I am so close I can smell IT!!Ha Ha!!!My metro male came out and I bought myself a 3G IPHONE from apple its a awesome phone and I deserve it its better than a wife it doesn't hassle me and I can just turn it OFF sorry ladies YOU know I am just kidding my PHONE is called "DUCKIE DEAR" My kids can't get over it!!!Yeah don't get a fright surfergirl if I pitch up asking you for my free surfing lesson No tsunami this time maybe a slight splash as I fall in the water!!!Ha Ha!!My fat % has goone from 35% to 23% and I am aiming for 20% which is a healthy fat percentage for a guy my age!!!I have started eating tuna sushi which is so easy as I love shushi and I don't know if YOU people can get raw tuna but I found a great fish shop that sells fresh TUNA at about 20$ a KILO or 2.2pounds and I only eat 135g so I bought about 5 meals worth so its about less than 4$ a meal much cheaper than eating out at a restraunt and I eat it with 105g of CUCUMBER its really delicous and it will be part of my MONDAY TO FRIDAY meals after DR COHEN refeed and I will then be able to add RAW salmon which will be awesome and is quite filling I will just stay away from the sushi that has rice I will leave the rice for the evening meal which is one carb per day!!!!How are all the diet buddies doing on refeed and after refeed I will try catch Up my reading as soon as my internet works properly!!!Have a AMAZING DAY!!!:innocent3:

Hi there ladies Yeah PhyllisRis You had me laughing thats what I like aboyt this site and no I don't think the IPHONE can do that!! but at my age it's all in the mind!!Ha Ha!!:innocent4:Sorry about that but I couldn't resist that I know its a Family site!!Ha Ha!!Unspeakable JOY I will have photo's hopefully some close shots of elephant etc and I will have stories to go with them hopefully and I will report back and it might be nice to take my mind of things!!Ha Ha!!I am closer and closer to my refeed weight and I am waiting for a blood request and hopefully its my last one!!!I think I will be longer than others on refeed because I have lost so much weight but it will be nice to get some fruit into my diet and some bread as I haven't eaten crackers or fruit since week 4 and it will be very nice and it will be a double whammy having the fruit and bread and then adding more fruit and bread as we go on the refeed!!Anyway must dash will chat later have a great day!!!:innocent3:

Hi CohenInAz I stopped after 4 weeks taking fruit and crackers because according to the documents we recieved it is optional but beware its pretty hard as the fruit and crackers help you get through the day and thats more important in the beginning!!!The reason why I did it was to speed up my weight loss and I am pretty use to not eating it now but it will be nice to get back on to it for a CHANGE of DIET!!!Does it work I don't know the JURY is out on that SHASHA will say don't do it and she is most probabally right because if YOU do this ONE may fall of the BUS!!!So be careful what YOU decide but I have lost a lot of weight quickly quickly than I could have ever done OTHERWISE!!!Have a GREAT DAY!!!:innocent3:

I am back from a TRIP from Johannesburg and I hope YOU are all WELL it's nice to see so many NEW FACES and some OLD ONES BACK where they belong!!YES I AM NOW OFFICALLY on

I was at a COMPANY FUNCTION with a lot of other people and I was going to JUST drink water and I realised this was a bit rude as they put us UP in a very very nice place and went to a lot of trouble!So after much thought I decided after 18 weeks thats 4 and a half months of not cheating at all I would break that BIG WALL and cheat the one night ONLY!!!I was a bit AFRAID NO I WAS DOWNRIGHT PETRIFIED (SHASHA there is a SONG some Where there??Ha Ha) that I would be firstly sick as a DOG and wether I could come BACK from the BRINK of disaster and I DID I CHEATED for the first time in 123 DAYS!!!I firstly ate some NUTS then a fish starter and main course but little bits of everything but lots of vegtables and very little meat and no BREAD OR PUDDING or sugar just some Cheese and biscuits to ROUND of the NIGHT and loads and loads of water!We had a GREAT night but I was convinced I was GOING to get sick but all went well I woke up the next morning FELT wonderful and went back onto DR COHEN!!I had a GREAT EVENING and Weekend I BROKE the MYTH I had of BREAKING DR COHEN DIET and not able to get back on to IT my BODY handled all the RICH food Fine I lost a FURTHER 3Kg/6.6lbs in Two Weeks not bad when I consider its at the end of the DIET I am NOW Offically 100KG/220lbs at my REFEED diet weight I now wait DR COHEN's REFEED program!!The One question that has come to mind SHASHA and I know YOU are going TO SHOOT ME DOWN IN FLAMES (Ha Ha) but I have to ask is why can't we JUST add all the extra GRAMMES of extra food and JUST go from DR COHEN DIET to the end?The reason I am asking is I spoke to some old Cohenites and they said they found the most difficult part of the DIET was the REFEED part and thats when they fell of the BUS so to speak and never went back on!!!Just asking not wanting to rock the BOAT and when I had my one night break I ate quite a bit and some rich foods and to this date felt no ill effects etc now I have 30 days of Measuring this take that off etc!!!Anyway back to my trip I spent a HUGE portion as USUAL of my time explaining myself to everyone and especially the LADIES!!Ha Ha!It was quite weird in the beginning people I knew walked right past me and ignored me and then later that night they came back and apologised saying they did not recognise me and that they just can't believe how GOOD I LOOK and WHAT had I done and afterwards they were FLABBERGASTED and GOB SMACKED and I was the talk of the FUNCTION a wee bit embarrasing but I am getting use to it!!!I must go now have some FIRES to KILL at work and I will try and do some serious catching UP on this forum on the WEEKEND but I did miss YOU all have a GREAT DAY!!:innocent3:

don't be afraid of refeed. It is really quite fun. And post diet isn't hard if you follow the rules. :weights2:I just eat cohenish most of the time, and allow myself to splurge when i want. For instance, this weekend I had and appetizer and then ate healthy meal with a margarita! I am actually down two ponds from my goal weight. If my wieght goes up, I jst eat very sensibly, Cohenish and it comes right back off. I weigh myself every day...haven't I always? and keep track.
My dh has lost 13 ponds, so it is good reinforcement for me while he is on the diet. I am so enjoying my body again, that I never want to lose it. I feel that this is so doable, and it is easy compared towhat you have just accomplished! Yo may not need all 30 days of refeed! Whatever it is, I know you can do it! Go Pumbza!!!:party1:

Hi there Papa Bear!! REFEED??!!??!! I am SO HAPPY FOR YOU AND PROUD OF YOU!!! I cannot believe you had a cheat when you are so close to being done, but I know you won't let it change you now. You must follow refeed exactly and it is so important to add the extra food types along with the bigger portions. The purpose of refeed is to slowly re-introduce those foods back into your system so that once you are on your own and want to have those foods now and then your body won't be shocked and it won't slam you into a fat-storing process but you'll maintain your fat-burning ways. In real life (after 1PD) you will need to eat carbs, etc. so refeed allows your body to adjust gently. It is a bit confusing and I did find that some cravings, etc. came back during refeed but it's okay. I have been maintaining fine. Like Mei Mei I have been weighing every day and when I'm up I eat 1PD and when I'm down I allow some treats. I have had a bit more yo-yo than I'd have liked but have had a lot of stress these last couple of months which has caused me to have more drinks than I should and I always gain when I drink (alcohol). The stress is subsiding and I think I'll have an easier time now of treating myself better. Again, congrats on reaching this point! You've been amazing on this diet and are a true inspiration to all of us.

Regarding your cheat, at least you made the decision beforehand that you were going to cheat. I think this is so different than just cheating in the moment. You knew what you were doing and knew what the consenquences might be. You also decided the next day you would be right back on plan!!
I was going to say everything that Brownyn just said so I will not repeat it. Just remember you need to slowly add the foods back in so you don't gain all the weight back over time.

I think it is so cool that your hubby had lost and is on the plan. I wish my hubby would loose 30 pounds. He needs to and I worry about his health!! I am glad you are doing so great too!! I posted a question on the exercise thread you had. See if you can answer it or what you think. I haven't been to worried about it yet but soon I will be.

Hi All Diet Buddies Hope YOU are all well !!Its amazing now that I have more energy and am more awake I find myself struggling to get onto the forum so I must apologise for my delay in writing back but I am slowly catching UP but I need more time on the FORUM!!Ha Ha!:innocent4:Thanks Mei Mei for YOUR encouragement YES I do think it is DOABLE and I feel that our metabolism has been kick started where as before it was not working so surely as YOU say if YOU stray YOU can eat cohenish to come back to the right weight!!!Are YOU trying to reduce YOUR goal weight and is it useful to weigh daily or can one stretch it out to weekly???Thanks to LiLNightShift,Bronwyn,lfingers11 tahnks for all YOUR SUPPORT as per Usual what would I do with out YOU YOUNG thin LADIES!!!Ha Ha!!!I must admit I wonder what would I have DONE hd I not had the support on this site I just love all the info and the SUPPORT and Shasha's SUPPORT!Are we ever all going to get together and have a reunion of all ex and current Dr Cohen and maybe work out how many TONNES we have all lost all together???Just asking we did speak about this a while back but it all died down maybe we are all to busy but thats life!!!Have a GREAT DAY and thanks again!!!:innocent3:
