I wasn't really sure where to post this, so I figured the general discussion would be "safe" I ran into my up-the-street neighbor at the grocery store today, and he knew I had a surgery in August but he didn't know what it was for, (fibroids btw), and he said did you get that stomach surgery? I said you mean gastric bypass? He said yeah that's the name of it. I have lost so much weight he thought I had a surgery to do it. When I told him about the diet I still kind of think he didn't believe me until I told him about the website and Dr. Cohen etc, then he gave me the best compliment I have gotten since I have been on plan, he said, I was going to come down and ask you for your autograph, you look like a movie star. I blushed and took a bow and of course, Thanked him profusely. Isn't that incredible. It was so nice of him to say that! I didn't realize it was so noticeable! Well maybe I did and forgot!

A good friend of mine recently had that surgery and she is losing slower than we do. I finally told her about my eating plan over the weekend, and I encouraged her to try it, but unfortunately the band restricts her ability to eat and she may not be able to eat what we do. She is also very impressed by my progress and seemed very interested as her weight loss has stalled in the last month, after having lost 30lbs, she has lost nothing. I hope she can manage to try 1pd, because she would have the added benefit of never being hungry. Wouldn't that be nice.
