So what I'd like to do here is talk about the LOVE of fashion! We can talk about our favorite runway look this season (Marc Jacobs - Bohemian) or those things we think won't last MORE than a season (open-toed boots!!)
I love keeping my eyes out on the runway, especially now that I'm working to be able to wear that stuff nicely!
I will be posting pictures of my "must-haves", and I encourage you to do the same! :)

I love that I can go into most stores now and find something that actually fits me. My new favorite store is H&M. I just found one while I was on vacation last week. They have great work clothes. I found the perfect white button up shirt, a must have, I think. I saw these stores all over Europe but never paid attention since I knew nothing would fit.
Scarves, too! I absolutely love them. Since my two teenage nieces said they are in style still, I'm good.
Being able to fit into these cute clothes is the best motivation to keep 100% on plan. I had cute "fat" clothes thanks to instant credit at Lane Bryant. But it made me a little sad that I was missing out on fabulous clothes with name brands written across the chest. Yes, I'm a little shallow sometimes with the name brand.

Ok, so the first thing I want to post is this take on the moccasin!
I personally, LOVE these shoes!
Betsey Johnson - Tisha
With a price tag at over 300, I'm not ready to wear these bad boys in snow. What do you girls think?

Mandy - thank you so much for starting this thread. I am SO CLUELESS about fashion lol I have been wearing the same clothes forever and am in desperate need of help! lol
Those mocsasins are cute! Definitely not for snow tho' - unless you have a tall, dark and handsome guy to carry you in his arms across the snow in lol
happytmo - I love H&M too! Even though I could never fit anything in the store, it never stopped me from going in and checking out all the clothes.

I need to check out H&M, I'm not that up-to-date on them! So I just googled their store.. There are only TWO stores in my state... both 8 hours away! LOL!
Joy - My man is as tall as me.. he actually prefers me not to wear heels. He thinks I make him look tiny. I'm told him that I don't mind being his amazon!

Ok ok, so I just had to get a new pair of boots this winter!
I chose Ralph Lauren's "Lauren" in Camel, although I'll post the Dark Brown option too!

So, since I have a wide variety of favorites -- I was wondering who everyone's favorite designer is? I'd love to chat about it! Want more info about the products or designers I've shown so far? Just ask!

Ok, I want to share one of MY favorite lines BCBG (by Max Azria)!
I love the fun flirty style of this line! These were 2 of my favorite pieces in the Ready-to-wear Fall 2008 Runway show (NY)! I REALLY would love to buy that cute kimono-esk gold ensemble after I'm done with this program.
I LOVE the simplicity of the taupe dress (I love the shoes even more!) I would wear this to the office any day! I felt that the entire line focused on the waist which would be new for me!
xoxo!

Mandy,
Very cute idea, but thanks for making me feel so old! I used to love high heels, but they kill my feet now. :) Can we also share what we don't like in fashion? i really dislike that the fashion industry makes sleezy clothes for little girls--have you seen some of the girls size 6 clothes? It's criminal. I also never understood why someone would want words on their butt. My husband explained it. It is so people will deliberately look at your butt. Ok, so now I get it, I still don't like it.
You guys can kick me off the fashion network now if you want. I do like the tan dress above, and love the Lauren boots, just not the pain to go with. I bought a beautiful pair of Cole haan shoes that I still can't wear for more than an hour or I am screaming in pain. Just a bit too small. But they are so cute. So I can be shallow too! he he...
I told you I am old (46) how old are ya'll?

Yay! I'm 28. Heels hurt me when I first started wearing them, now they don't at all. I LOVE wearing them all! My younger sister is like you though.. more than an hour and she'd rather wrestle a bear than be in heels.
That's funny about the words on the butt thing -- I don't even own a pair of pants with that on them. My 3 year old doesn't have any either, so even though I never really thought about it -- I guess I don't really care for it either haha!
I love talking about likes and dislikes in fashion! Same with music, I feel its all a form of expression and I love that people let me in :)

This is another couple pictures from the New York runway scene for Fall 2008. This line is call "Herve Leger" and Max Azria recently took it over.
About this line, it's "wrap" inspired.. like mummies! With all the talk about Egyptian body wraps that I have no clue about -- I figured I'd post something I know A LITTLE about!
Where the dress I think is ok... I think the shrug with the high-waisted pants is ADORABLE.
I love the color in the third piece!
xoxo

{hi} there Everyone
Nice thread!!! Anything that helps to keep our Diet Buddies focused and motivated and away from the fridge is really GREAT! :applause:
I think it’s really nice to re-design your look and your wardrobe when you’ve completed Re-feeding… and one way to start is by making a scrap book of fashion goodies that you do like…
This thread reminds me of this, only it’s online {wave}
I’m a bit more old fashioned and must say that I agree 100% with Mei Mei:
Mandy,
I really dislike that the fashion industry makes sleezy clothes for little girls--have you seen some of the girls size 6 clothes? It's criminal. I also never understood why someone would want words on their butt. My husband explained it. It is so people will deliberately look at your butt. Ok, so now I get it, I still don't like it.
I know they say it pays to advertise, but I sincerely don’t believe that if you’ve got it that you should make it cheap and flaunt it, rather, that there’s a lot to be said for art of modesty... especially when it comes to little girls... as parents, I believe we need to protect them.
Nothing like a nice new outfit though! {cheerleader}

Mandy, I've said it once, and I'll say it again, you're my fashion consultant once I reach my goal lol I am so totally clueless about style and fashion! I am a perfect candidate for TLC's What Not To Wear lol

lol Joy,
I just wear whatever makes me happy really, Which is usually a pair of jeans, heels and a shirt of some sort.
What do you usually wear?

I really love the one on the right, the top and skirt is great. I went shopping today in a real store for the first time since starting Cohen. Next Friday is the end of my first 12 weeks, yes, I have more to go, but should be about 1/2 way on Friday.:praying:
Anyway, I went shopping for dress suits, I work at a cemetery, and have to be professional. I was soooooo excited! Everything I tried on fit, and was 3 sizes smaller than when I started the plan!!! GO COHEN!!!! :cloud9:
So I also found the female take on the classic male wingtip shoe. I have attached the pic. I had to buy them, they were so great! And only $22.999, I could not pass them up.
I love shopping again, but this splurge will last me for a while, so back to Goodwill for all my other staples.

I've NEVER been into fashion ... until now. :) I love love love all the colors coming out for fall - my favorite is eggplant! It's so rich and pretty! Actually all jeweltones are my favorite colors!
I just talked with my coworker (who's now 3 months after re-feed and hasn't gained a single pound) and we've decided my fall/winter wardrobe will be simple skirts with cute tops and tights, because skirts are much easier for me to take in than pants. It gets pretty cold here in the winter, but I only have to dart from my work garage to my office building, so I'll manage. Ha, what a great picture - me ... "darting" across the street, instead of lumbering across it as in the past!

Skirts and tights are REALLY in. Also Booties (Ankle boots), and Oxfords the same color as your tights is a HUGE fashion plus! Florals are in this winter, so if you want to add some blossoms to your wardrobe -- you'll be stylin Joy! Much love sis <3333333

The one thing about fashion I have learned is that when I was bigger I would say I hate shopping but now that I am getting skinnier I love to shop. Who would of thought that my weight was a cop out for hating to shop.

You see....clothes shopping (whether at the stores or online) has always been fun for me..and one of my biggest fears with losing weight is buying too many clothes and spending too much money!!! I try to rationalize it with the fact that my new size will cost less than the plus sized clothes!! The really cool thing is that my large sizes are now going into bags for Salvation Army and my closet is emptying out.....hmmmm....making room for all my NEW clothes....someday!!
However.....my idea of high fashion is what I'm wearing now....Air Force Academy sweatpants, flannel shirt and sweatshirt...BUT....they are much looser on me now and much more comfy!!!

I replaced my old favorite gray sweater today, with a new gray sweater. Hoping it will provide me with the same comforts.
I saw this pic online of Diane Keaton, just love her. The skirt needs to be replaced, but the rest of it I liked.

I actually like the skirt but HATE the belt! I'd wear the shirt untucked and ditch the leggings too. Put on some stilleto's and YAY!

those shoes are cute! I had a Shawn sized shopping spree. Sat. pm Steinmart had a 50% off coupon for red dot items. I swear, I treid on everything in the store. Like Sharon said, I have gotten rid of all my big clothes. It is confidence in this diet, and a test. If my clothes start getting tight, get back on! I am a big weigher, though, and still weigh every morning. If I go up to my goal weight, I get back on for a day. It is working for me.
Anyway, I thought about you all as I was shopping. Wish I had had you with me Mandy! Needed a pro :)

Awww! Thanks for thinking of me! My Dad thinks it's terrible. He said, "I have a hard time thinking that you spend more on shoes than most people do on mortgages." OF COURSE he was being sarcastic.... I hope.

Sis, those new shoes are adorable!!!!! How I've missed my 1PD fashionista-diva-sis! :)
Here are the boots I bought on Tuesday!
I love them!! It's a 2.75" heel and is so darn comfy!! I'm going back tomorrow to get them in brown too :)
I finally gave in and went to the thrift shop to get some new pants. I spent 1.5 hrs trying things on lol I would NEVER have had the patience for that in the past! In fact, I wanted to stay longer but I had to pick up the kidlets lol
Hope everyone is doing well!
