If anyone has cracker suggestions in the US that would be great, I was atcually at the store last night with my laptop and a spreadsheet trying to figure out which was best.
I have visited the cracker page and I see we can have the specified soup crackers, just as unbelieveable as it may sound, they didn't have them at my store. I guess I could always raid my local costco... but seriously...
I settled on the Wasa Mulitgrain Crispbread. I know it is too big as it is 14g/ crisp, so I am just cutting them in half. Here is there details:
1 slice (14g) 45 calories, 0 Fat (is that a problem), 80mg of Sodium, 10 Carbs (2 fiber), 2 protein. So per 100 g its 321 calories (which is low), 0 fat (again low), 71 carbs and 14 protein.
I am allowed 6 crakers, and I know the crackers are optional, but I want them.
I know there are a few AZ people on here as well as a lot of US folks, so if you could help me out that would be great. I like what I got, but would like to be closer to their exact specifications.
I do have an IKEA near by and Trader Joes, so even if it is not "typical' US stuff, I might be able to get it.

I may not be a lot of help...I just went and got the nabisco saltines that they had on the website. I got the unsalted (trying to watch my salt intake)and it says you can have 2 of them for every 1 serving. Not real tasty by themselves, but filling.

1 plain ricecake
crumble it up
put a little of whatever can spray you use on it.
I microwave mine for 35 seconds but we have a bad microwave.
add small amount of salt
this tastes almost like popcorn. my boys love it and they call it popcorn (they are 2 and 3).
When I was doing the wasa it seemed as though I did not loose as much until I stopped eating it. You may not have any issues but I definately did.
I don't like saltines very much but that works. The wheat saltines made by kroger actually taste a lot better than the regular.
Have a great day and good luck.

Hi
My favorite is the Kamme Crackers. They taste like corn chips or I have just been on this diet to long.

I'm sticking with the Nabisco Premium Saltines, and am allowed 6 per day. When I weigh them out, I can have 1.5 saltines per 1 serving, or 3 saltines per snack (3 times a day). I haven't mixed my crackers with a meal, as I use them as my security blanket and save them for snacks to get me through the day (mid-morning and mid-afternoon, but I don't always have them in the evening after dinner).
I tried the Kame rice crackers, but they left me wanting more as I'm used to asian rice crackers as a snack.

I also kept it simple Nabisco Premium Multigrain Saltines. I still eat them with my eggs every morning.

I didn't know we could have Multigrain or wheat saltines! I thought it was very specific which crackers we could have. Well, I live in CA and I had to order the Kame rice crackers online (amazon). You can only get them by the case, but you can have 7 for every 1 cracker serving because they're small. They're really great with diet coke for fulfilling your salty snack cravings. Otherwise I love saltines--to cook with them or eat them plain. That's a pretty common cracker you should be able to find anywhere. If not, again, order them online. I'm all about the online shopping! :)

Once again....ditto Lauren! I actually enjoy eating Saltines plain. I also use them in my zucchini pancakes and to bread fish/chicken. Last night I made tilapia for me and my husband wanted it too. So.....cuz he doesn't need to lose weight, I coated his fish with a lot of cracker crumbs and cooked it in a teflon coated frypan with olive oil (not the spray)....his came out all golden brown and crispy. I sauteed my fish plain and ate the crackers separtely so I could feel the crunch!!
I take some of my cracker allowance along with me to work in a little tupperware box (it was probably one of those prizes at a party once)...they are protected in there and don't end up all smooshed. They fit in a little pocket in my computer bag.
I store my saltines in a cracker box that I got from my Mom's kitchen (she's deceased). It's kind of weird, but that way I kind of think of her as playing a role in my weight loss!!
