Hey kids! Today is my one week mark. I lost 7 pounds. I've been looking around and it seems like I'm on the low end of what people are generally losing the first week, but I messed up a couple of times.{oops}
I ate 2 cracker servings in 1 sitting on about 3 different occasions, went WAY overboard with balsamic vinegar twice before I knew there was a limit, {duh} and I hardly ever hit my 8 glasses of water limit. I usually drink 5- which for me is AWESOME. Too much water gives me a headache- (weird??)
Plus, I went out to eat wih my husband for my anniversary, and didn't go off my MENU, but I KNOW I had more than what I was aloud for that meal.... like maybe double.
So, all in all, I think I'm doing pretty well!!!
Yesterday was my hardest day yet for me. I'm not feeling well, I have a sore throat and post nasal drip and just wanted to sit in front of the tv with a blanket and a bag of chips or some kind of comfort food, but I didn't! I did great.
So, 1 week down and I'm very proud of myself.:applause:
With no more cracker, vinegar or anniversary slip ups, I think next week I may even be more pleasantly surprised!!!:party5:

Yay Vicki!

Seven pounds is still a great victory, even with your slip-ups. I had a couple too when I first started--just things I overlooked in the plan, like no more than 2 Tbsp. onion per day...stuff like that. But you'll get adjusted to all those little rules--just stick with the program, and if you do eat out again, don't eat so much. Eat slowly and pay attention to when you feel satisfied and then STOP. Or separate the part you're going to eat before you eat it and that's all you're allowed to have. It's easy to make excuses and just keep eating--especially because restaurant food is so much more tasty with their olive oils & butters, but don't do it. It will slow you down. Good luck! I know you can do it!!!

Hi Vicky,

You cannot compare your weight loss to anyone else's. We are all different and will lose weight at different rates. It depends on so many factors so please try not to compare as it will be frustrating. I only lost 12.4 my first FOUR weeks so you're doing GREAT compared to me and I didn't have any slip-ups. My weight loss ended up being about 2 pounds per week, which wasn't as fast as I wanted, but it was healthy and consistent. Now - no more slip-ups!!! You can do it!

Thanks guys... you're right. I shouldn't compare, and I AM thrilled! I asked my husband if he saw a difference in me in just 7 pounds and he said, "Yes, your arms have less hang." Yes.... he used the word "hang". He's lucky he's so cute. And if I had heard that word before in any other context other than "less" we would have serious problems. But that's a nice thing to hear!! LOL
