Hey Mrs Peel and Jaclyn and Everyone else...

Thanks for telling me about the movie... These kinds of movies are especially good for Dieters trying to get over their love for pies {rofl}

With the spices and stuff, you would never really know exactly what they put into them... I guess that secret is safe between only God and the Butcher...

OOOoh jug! :sick: ... never again!!!

That's why I'm going to spend my evening :hiding: behind my coach in fear of needing a hair cut!!!

For the record though, Zucchin is quiet safe! :clover:

Do you like watching movies?

One of my favorites this past year was Waitress - lovely, sweet movie, but it will make you want to eat PIE! :crying:

But speaking of movies, going to the cinema between meals is a great way to take your mind off your stomach! Take your water or get a Diet Coke and let yourself be taken away for an hour and half or more. My husband and I went to a matinée yesterday after lunch, and when we got out, it was coming up on dinner time and we were pleasantly surprised! :D

:nerd: we really enjoy going to the movies too! We try to go once a week or once in two weeks on our DATE NIGHT :love: afterwards we'll go for coffee and a chat...

Nothing beats seeing it on the BIG SCEEN - your mind switches off everything else and there is nothing to thing about for an hour or two except the movie and that's really nice! No multi-tasking at the cinema :) yaaay!

We like the matinée as well! Sometimes when we've gone, it's so nice and quiet. I also take diet soda with and my apple and chewing gum has long since replaced popcorn. {bubblegum}

So, which movie did you watch yesterday?

We saw There Will Be Blood - very well acted and shot, but not a happy tale. However, very worth seeing for the depiction of how hard life was only a hundred years ago, and the lengths to which men went to build the country. It has a thought-provoking theme exploring the good and the evil inherent in both industry and evangelical religion. Daniel Day-Lewis is really extraordinary as well.

I come from a family where movie lines are frequented at my Dad's household. I would say 50% of the conversation is movie quotes! haha....it amazes me how they remember....meanwhile I sit with a confused look because I usually can't remember a line 5 min. after hearing it let alone randomly in the middle of a conversation! :wacky:

AAAANNNYWAY....I saw 2 movies this weekend! 27 Dresses is a MUST SEE! Kathryn Higel is great! Not to mention....I was getting some great tips on how to assist the Bride in the upcoming Jan. 2009 ceremony I will be a bridesmaid in! Its a light hearted fun movie that has you empathize with the different characters. I also saw Step Up (blockbuster). Besides the hot male lead, its about dancing, second chances, and of course....a love story. I was a dancer for 14 years, so this was right down my alley! Afterwards, my friend and I played the dance scene numbers over and over and had a mini dance party of two! I may even join an adult Hip Hop class to reconnect with my passion! (After I gained weight....I stopped dancing....the moves didn't come as easy with 70 extra lbs!) I am excited for Step Up 2 coming out on Valentine's Day!

Ok...well....I'm off for my after dinner fruit!

{hi} there all ya Movie Luvers with Coffee Cups Up!

Mrs Peel: Sometimes I really enjoy the thought provoking stuff: you mention... the lengths to which men went to build the country these kind of movies can sometimes be so inspiring... they kinda have the way of putting your 'problems' into perspective! Not being able to eat certain foods is no longer such issue... he he... when we see what real hardship is, we suddenly realise know how wonderful our lives truly really are! Despite not eating cake!!

Jaclyn: I see that 27 Dresses will be COMING SOON to a Cinema near me! - 1 Feb, and I will be sure to watch it! Thanks for that review - it sounds lovely :-)

In the meantime, don't lol, but I really enjoy Classic Disney - Enchanted has been one of my favourite movies so far this year... and, I'm planning on watching Alvin & the Chipmunks ASAP! {rofl}
We really enjoy the kiddie's stuff, along with comedy, anything light hearted and anything uplifting... Shrek's an all time favourite!

Jaclyn, I think it's really going to be a great idea for you to reconnect with your passion! Being over weight can really force you to become someone you are not!

Your dream of Dancing again, :dance: together with the Wedding (PLEASE SEE new thread in DIET FUNNIES) is really such a good reason for you to keep on following your eating plan 100% > way to go! Let your dreams live again!!!

{grouphug1} Does anybody else enjoy the Disney stuff???

Shasha
01-23-2008, 12:44 PM
Booo hooo hooo :crying: Nobody else likes DISNEY!!! and now my Cyber Freinds all think I'm !!!

Confession: we want on a date last night... AND, we saw Alvin & the Chipmunks... AND, we really ENJOYED IT!

Those little voices are too cute for words! I love the way they portray each little Chipmunk with his own little character...

{tweety} We have quite a few pets and really love them to bits, each has his or her own personality and they have their own way of talking - guess that is why I enjoy these kinds of movies... {taz} crazy people with a house full of pets! No wonder!

I also like the moral of the story that family is more important than fame and that money can't replace love and friendship!

So, how about it guys? Can you still be friends with the girl??

By the way, Hubby says he wants to watch National Treasure or Elizabeth: The Golden Age next - anybody seen either of these??

And, just before I go put the coffee cup away: I'd like to know HOW Mr and Mrs Peel are doing? {friendhug}

MrsPeel
01-23-2008, 01:34 PM
Hey, Goofy Shasha!

We all love Disney movies - my personal favorites are the old ones from my childhood, though. The Three Lives of Thomasina! Toby Tyler! Fantasia!

We have four kitties, ages 13, 14, and 17 1/2! They are indeed unique individuals, every one. :love:

Thanks for asking after my husband and me - he did weigh himself after his first week, curiosity getting the better of him - 9 lbs. down!! {boing}

Shasha
01-23-2008, 01:56 PM
Phew! Normal after all... That's a relief!!!

{tweety} I just love cats! We have a whole heap of them! What colour are your Kittie Kids?

You said: four kitties, ages 13, 14, and 17 1/2 - is that 1/2 a year or 17 1/2 and, I seem to be missing A PUDDY TAT? 17 is really a GREAT age WOW!

Please give your hubby my sincere: {congrats} on being down 9 pounds!!!{cheerleader} and a {bighug}

Is MRS PEEL still doing well? There comes a time when you just go from one day to another and you don't even think about dieting... it just becomes a new way of life...

Shasha
01-23-2008, 02:04 PM
And, by the way Mrs Peel, what on earth did you mean by my childhood, ???

I saw your profile picture! - the one with the black hair and Babe, you look HOT! :cool:

MrsPeel
01-23-2008, 02:12 PM
Shasha -

The kitties are as follows:
Cecil, age 17 1/2 - shorthair tabby with white
Musha (his sister), age 17 1/2 - shorthair tabby with lots of white
Mips - age 14, all black - my little diabetic girl, gets insulin 2x a day!
Alabama - age 13, piebald tabby & white, looks like a cow

All are rescued feral cats, and so happy to be here! :D

As for MrsPeel, I went for my endermologie session yesterday and everyone made a fuss over my re-emerging figure! It was great to have others notice & be so supportive. :) I had a 4-week follow-up blood test and am waiting for Dr. Cohen to evaluate it . . .

And, by the way Mrs Peel, what on earth did you mean by my childhood, ???

I saw your profile picture! - the one with the black hair and Babe, you look HOT! :cool:

Oh, lord! Bless you, Shasha - I wish that picture was me! {rofl} It's actually my favorite Torchwood character, Gwen Cooper. I'm saving my real identity for my before and AFTER photos!

(And my hair has, um, "silver highlights") :embarrassment:

Shasha
01-23-2008, 02:26 PM
{lol} Mrs Peel {lol}

You wouldn't want to exchange all your precious life experience and knowledge for a little bit of black hair anyway! I mean, just imagine having to go through puberty all over again!?!

I can't wait to see those photo's!!! Have you still got your Wedding Dress??? I'm sure you're going to fit back into it!!!

I imagine your after photo's will include Mr & Mrs Peel... the honeymoon couple :love:

By the way, I know a lady who lost 116 pounds at age 61 and her doctor told her that she added about 10 years to her life expectancy... what does that mean?
I guess that would then make her 43 AGAIN!?!

If this is true:

At the rate yoú're loosing, you better be careful!!! Puberty is on it's way back again!!! {lol}

I'm sure the Doc will give you feed back shortly - it can take about a week or so...

MrsPeel
01-23-2008, 02:33 PM
Well, we were married six and a half years ago, and if I reach my target weight, I will be able to fit myself and a friend into my wedding dress! :clapping:

My husband has never seen me in my slender incarnation - except in photos!

Shasha
01-23-2008, 02:33 PM
3 of my Kiddies are also FERILE FRIENDS, who are now FAMILY!!!

Animals are just the best at giving unconditional love!! Sometimes they can be a bit demanding though... I have a certain little Mister that likes walking on my keyboard and putting his tail in my face whenever he wants tickles...

Do your kids also snuggle up in a ball together when it's cold? In our house, we call this a HEAP OF CATS... :flirt:

Shasha
01-23-2008, 02:36 PM
:flirt: So, I guess you will BOTH really be ENJOYING your 7th Wedding Anniversary!!! :love: :love:

Mmmmmmm!!! :flirt:

MrsPeel
01-23-2008, 02:39 PM
Cecil & Musha pile on each other in front of the heat registers! When we still had the whole family (they've lost their brother and a half-sister in recent years :crying:), there were definitely heaps o'cats.

Shasha
01-23-2008, 02:44 PM
{lol} I'm sitting here thinking to myself: I don't want to have to sensor your reply about this one Mrs Peel... no XXX honeymoom plans on the web please!! {lol}

Shasha
01-23-2008, 02:56 PM
:crying: ... that is so sad! :crying:

My little Feral's are from one litter and so are my 'normal cats'... I would just hate to loose one of them...

You don't want to know what our bed looks like on a winter's day! It's hard just trying to find a spot in there... let alone have enough hands to tickle everyone!!!
{boing}

MrsPeel
:flirt: So, I guess you will BOTH really be ENJOYING your 7th Wedding Anniversary!!! :love: :love:
YESSS!!!! I'm sure I will need to re-up for a second 12 weeks, but that will still get me to target weight before 7/14/08!! :dance: And of course, you just know my husband will lose his 40 or so pounds in one session - those men!

Shasha
01-23-2008, 03:24 PM
I'm not going down that road... because it's just NOT fair!!

But, I think it's great that you're doing it together though!!! :love: :love:

Some guys don't even want their wives to look gorgeous and purposely (probably due to their own insecurities) then act bad by bring home cakes and sweets etc... :-(

It's nice to know that you are working towards your Anniversary... maybe plan some stunning romantic get away for the two of you... :love: :love:

The more reasons you have to stay on diet the more motivated and focussed you will be and the greater your success will be!!!

Shasha,
I have seen both of those movies! Enchanted and the Chipmunks! I laughed constantly through Enchanted {rofl} I LOVED that movie. As far as the Chipmunks go....my friend and I sing "witch doctor" quite often! I'm not sure about National Treasure or Elizabeth? I saw the first National Treasure and loved it but haven't gotten around to seeing the second.

Has anyone seen The Bucket List? or Juno? My mom said Juno was good. I'll probably be heading to the theater this weekend to see one of those :)

MrsPeel and Sasha,
I have 2 cats and 1 dog. My 4 year old dog and 2 year old kitty were both rescues. Those are stories I will have to address at a later time but I got them both under 6 months old. My oldest cat is 8 years old and I got him from a pet store. He went through 9 moves and 6 different cities....and we all know how much animals like moving! He's the best :)!!!

Well, I must run! I'm off to play in my weekly softball game! Goooooo UPSETTERS!!!! haha...its raining though.....so this may get a little messy!!!

Hey, I like Disney movies, now with 3 kids, 15, 12 & 7, it's almost a given, but I can't blame them 100% - because I'll sneak one in on my own. Ha!

We saw Alvin and the Chipmunks, very cute, of course, I've always like Alvin.

As for National Treasure, saw that one 2 - and I really liked it.

And last one I saw was Enchanted, very cute, but kind of wish they didn't make her seem to ditsy so to speak, but I guess if I lived in a fantasy forest and jumped into NYC I would be 2. I love popcorn and a movie, but I did good - had a water and a couple of crackers with me, but it was hard watching my daughter and her friend holding that big tub!!! :crying:

It's an early work morning for me - so I'd thought I'd share some movie incite with all of you. Have a great day!!

Hey, 1PD wise, I'm really proud of myself, I get easily discouraged (only because I had my daughter hide the scale and because it's like I want the weight of "now"). He he. I've took heed to some advice in the post about hunger issues though and notice that when I cut the yogurt or cheese options, I don't feel as hungry and the extra vitamin helps as well. My hubby has lost and doing really well himself, but now that the "evil" scale has been taken away it's driving him nuts as well. He has incorporated some exercise into his regimen, however, and I'll let you know where we both stand on Feb. 2nd - that's if my daughter gives me the scale back!! LOL :eyebrow:

{hi} there Jaclyn

I'm so glad to know you also enjoy DISNEY AND movies AND cats AND dogs - that is really cool! :cool:

Any friend of the Animals (- especially those in need), is a BIG friend of mine :bighug: :bighug:

Talk about a travelling cat! And he never once ran away? -wow! Did you try putting butter on his paws?? He he, I've heard this works because they lick the butter and so become familiar with the new scents faster.

Nope, I haven't seen Bucket List or Juno - maybe someone else has??? Anyone out there???

I'm glad to hear that National Treasure was good... I will suggest to watch that one first!

So, how did your Softball Game go??? Did the UPSETTERS cause an UPRISING by winning AGAIN???

You mention raining... we've got load of rain at the moment... day in, day out, day in, day out... RAIN DROPS KEEP FALLING ON MY HEAD...

Make no mistake, I'm not complaining, but I did have to go out and get me some NEW RAIN SHOES!!! :

{boing} YAAAY, Inger likes Disney too!!!
Talk about a Wacky Forum full of friends {grouphug1}

15, 12 & 7, - WOW! that sure can be a hand full!!! Well not all the time, but you know what I mean!! I salute you! No wonder you like Disney!!

Sorry about the p*pc*rn thing... can I recommend that next time you also take with your favourite fruit and some nice gum... that way they are chewing, you are chewing and, hey - it's for a limited time only so that you can look like a real cool Mom :cool:

If the egg works, then it is best if you stay with it - no point in being hungry... I'm posting a special: SPINACH FRITTATA recipe for you to try... I will put it under ERF's UP! and I hope you enjoy it :-)

I can't wait to see your progress either... but, PLEASE don't weigh yourself now... so many times we find that Dieters can become obsessed with the scale and what often happens is that everything becomes an excuse to deviate...

Some go through the NORMAL plateau and then say: Oh this diet is no longer working for me... why bother? Then they go out and you can guess just what they do... Then there are those who go: WOW, I've lost xx, this was easy, I can do this anytime - I may as well go out and celebrate!!!

BIG KEY TO SUCCESS: Forget the scale! Focus on eating healthy and drinking all your H2O! The figures will come - for encouragement, see how your clothes fit... try on your tight denims regularly... take your inches... monitor how you look and feel but, forget the scale cos during the Refeeding you will be asked to weigh yourself every day and then, following that, you may weigh yourself every single day for the rest of your life... I want you to see this as your official Scaly Holiday... {rofl}

Nice shoes Sasha - you can go for a nice walk and jump right in the pool and take a swim! Hmm. :eyebrow:

My oldest is my daughter, she's the one who hid the scale, trust me, no looking for it, she might hurt me. :punch:LOL

My other two are my boys, my 7 y/o yesterday was watching me eat my salad and asked if I liked it. I said yeah, and he asked if that was healthy for me. I told him it was better than the Mac & Cheese that he so much likes. He kept looking and then said can I try a piece of your chicken that I had on top of it - I said sure. I figured he'd go and spit it out, but then he was like hmm, mom I like that, can I try a bite of your salad and proceeded to say, if I don't like it I can just spit it out. :laughing:I laughed at him, he's my social one and always comes up with the cutest things to say. I gave him a bite, he stood there, chewing, chewing. . . . (I'm thinking he's going to spit it out) and then asked for another bite and then said, "mom, I like that, I think I found a new food and that will make me healthy."

It was cute - - - - he keeps me and his daddy on our toes, and if he sees me or his daddy eating something we're not, he'll say are you allowed to eat that, is it healthy?

My 12 y/o he likes to tease me with things he eats, but he's the joker of the family and likes to play practical jokes on people anyway - - I believe it's an age thing!

So between my 15 y/o daughter and my 7 y/o - there words are so inspiring!!

{hi}Sasha, or anyone else, - Do you have other ideas for breakfast ? I think the hardest thing is getting used to the idea of veggies for breakfast, I'm not a tomato person, but will cook with tomatoes. I've managed to eat cauliflower for breakfast, but still. . . . other options are greatly appreciated!!

Thanks for the motivation!!

Shasha

{hi} there Inger

Why thank you m'Dear, I'm just getting use to them... :flirt:

Kid's just have that wonderful way of saying the best things ever!
Wow, girl, YOU HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE POWER OF GREAT INFLUENCE!!! That little man is making you his HERO!!! Use the power wisely :hypnotic: and create a healthy little man from a very young age...

By the way, I know a lady who's has a 5 year old and when she lost weight and took him to school he introduced her to his friends as his new GIRLFRIEND...

Personally, I would not eat cauliflower for breakfast (maybe cheese and squash...) You could do cauliflower if you like it... but there are so many nicer things!!!

Try the Frittata tomorrow... let me know what you think... I'll dream up with some more breakfast idea's for you tonight... :sleeping:

{hi} Everyone

Did anybody watch any nice Moovies this weekend???

We went to watch Elisabeth: The Golden Age...

I must say, it was not quiet what I had thought it was going to be... I'm not complaining, I just thought it was going to be different ie: conquering Queen of England... a bit more about defeating the Armada etc... I was not expecting so much focus on the love story gone wrong thing... :rolling:

We ended up going through some history books and none of them mention the love story bit.

The costumes were very interesting... I realised 2 things:

1) I am born for a time such as THIS!!!
2) {tweety}I still prefer Disney!{tweety}

Jaclyn

Hello Sasha,
I saw Untraceable this weekend. It was good...a little bloody....but good. Its about the FBI tracking internet scams and someone creates a live stream killing site. Some of the moments were intense and other moments you were like "hello...duh!...don't go back there!" haha...but overall....it was entertaining. Definitely NOT a Disney film.:eyebrow:

Shasha
01-29-2008, 06:51 AM
{hi} there Jaclyn

I didn't see this particular movie, so thanks for the reveiw :)

Sometimes these internet FBI stories are a bit far fetched... other times they really make me wonder where the world is going to...

Things people never thought possible 30 years ago are now every day reality... who knows what the future will bring ??? :confused:

One thing is for certain, we live in an ever changing world :thinking:

:bighug: Jaclyn - little TYPO's are no problemo...

... eating cheese cake is!!!

You've guessed it: YEP, I'm still cross with you for doing this!

{praying} please, PLEASE!! promise me that you're going to follow your eating plan 100% from now onwards...

I really, REALLY, R.E.A.L.L.Y WANT TO SEE YOU ACHIEVE YOUR GOAL...

But that's not going to happen unless you FOCUS:

So, the very next time you see CHEESE CAKE or OTHER STUFF that is tempting you, I want you to grab hold of one of those little rolls... squeese them tight and say :noway: :

IF I DARE TO EAT THIS TODAY,
I WILL BE WEARING IT TOMORROW!!! :noway:
