CONGRATULATIONS ON SUCH A GREAT WEIGHT LOSS AND STICKING TO YOUR PLAN. PLEASE PLEASE, DO SOME SHOPPING FOR ME TOO. IM A LONG WAY OFF FROM GETTING ANYTHING NEW, SO PICK OUT SOMETHING NICE FOR ALL US 1PD THAT ARENT THERE YET! OH YEAH, AND HAVE FUN WITH YOUR NEW SLIMMER HEALTHIER BOD!:applause:
Ok Pumbza, i did have a little problem with my cheese n did'nt eat it right. I thought you could eat it with any meal, how ever i wanted too. I did not realize it was either a meat or your cheese. :( My consultant told me real quick that i was doing it wrong. They were very nice about it but very firm. I was :angry: at myself for screwing up. I am so excited to have lost 35 lbs. The consultants congratulated me as well. I was very proud of myself. Recently i had a birthday (no i won't tell you which one) and my boss always buys our meal for us and we celebrate lunch that day. I brought my own food while they all had taco salads and a huge piece of birthday cake. It did't bother me a bit. I brought me and orange and had a great time.
We'llk that's enough about me. I just want to let all of you know how much i appreciate your comments and your screw ups. It lets me know that we are all humans. NO MORE SCREW UPS FOR ME. I'm IPD all the way. YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST. Thanks, for all our support. {grouphug1} MIMI

MIMI... Thank you! you are an inspiration... You must have felt soo good about sticking to your guns and not using your Birthday as a reason to get off track. Belated Happy Birthday btw.. I have a birthday coming up and how I am going to deal with the usual celebration has been on my mind. I am thinking rather than celebrating with a party/cake and dinner, I will suggest going somewhere together and doing something instead..
Anyway Congratulations on your loss you are doing fabulous!! Thanks for sharing..
Jane
Calamity, that sound like a good idea to me. My sisters bought me a birthday (CANDLE), it smells just like cake and you don't get all the calories. Hee!!Hee!! YOU KNOW YOU CAN DO, you have come to far to turn back now, that little piece of birthday cake will not be worth it. I believe in you, YOU WILL DO IT, YOU WILL DO IT, YOU WILL DO IT!!!! SKIP THAT BIRTHDAY CAKE. {bdaycake} Please, let me know how it goes, and HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY TO YOU {wave}

Happy Belated Birthday Mimi!! And GREAT JOB passing on the birthday foods at your celebration. Yes - thin feels better than ANYTHING tastes! Still that is not always easy to do. I LOVE the idea of the candle that smelled like birthday cake. I'm one of those people who actually liked to be able to smell something as it kind of helped to curb the craving without having a bite.
Happy Birthday to you Calamity J (a bit early)! Yes - you can do it to! That is a wonderful idea to schedule something fun that doesn't revolve around food. That way you can still celebrate without feeling deprived. Let us know what you plan and/or if you need some ideas. You know we all love to give ideas!
Thanks, to all my IPD friends. I could not do this without you. You make me feel so good about myself. rbride, i did do a little shopping and i bout a pair of capre's a size 12, guess what? they were to big and i had to return them they were TOO BIG and buy a size 10. Do you know how long it's been since i've been a size 10?? A long time let's just say about 20 years. Happy early birthday to you Pumbza, {bdaycake}. The skinny new Pumbza!!! Browyn, i don't know where your from but my sisters bought the bday candle at KOHLS. It's smells heavenly.

WOW Mimi!!! Great job!! Keep up the good work! Have you been doing any excercise? I want to do everything the right way but I see some people say they are working out. What about light weights (3lb) to tone?
Sexymama, no i don't exercise. I did'nt exercise before and so i don't do it now. That is the way IPD works. Dr. Cohen does not want you to exercise unless you were exercizing before the diet. You don't want you blood work to change, i think that's why. Once i get to my goal i do plan to add a little walking and then go from there. Just follow your personal plan 100% and you will see the weight fall off. WELCOME TO THE NEW YOU. MIMI {friendhug}

Hey Julie. I exercised at first, but found as I got further into the diet, I simply didn't have the energy. But, I simply couldn't stand those flapping arms and felt I had to do something about that at least. So, I do 15 kitchen countertop "push-ups" every morning while my breakfast is cooking. I've been doing them now for a little over a month, and wow can I tell a difference!!! I don't even mind wearing sleeveless shirts now. :flirt: Happy dieting!!!

Hi ALL DIET BUDDIES,
Gettinskinny thats a great idea could you explain how you go about your Kitchen TOP PUSHUP's thats would be very helpful for all the newbies!!!:innocent4:Hi there to sexymama ditto to what MIMI said about excersise I am doing no excersise until my DIET is over after refeed otherwise one will not be able to tell what is fat loss and what is muscle gain however after the DIET i am planning to get slowly back onto excercise and to get my cardio and weight training back up and online but very very slowly so there will be no complications!!!Have a GREAT DAY!!!SMILE WHILE YOU LOSE FAT!!!:innocent3:

Hi Pumbza -- would be glad to describe my kitchen countertop push-ups. :) You just face the countertop, take a couple of steps back and then keeping your feet together, lean into the countertop, cupping your hands over the edge of the counter, shoulder width apart. Then, while breathing in, lower your chin toward the countertop, keeping your body in a straight line at all times (tip: squeezing your buttocks together will keep you from arching your back). Breath out on your way back up. You can work your triceps (back of your arm muscles) more by keeping your arms tucked near your side, or work your pectorals (chest muscles) more by allowing your arms to bend outward. Continue the push until your arms are almost in a straight position (but not locked). Use very slow, controlled movements. Don't rest between the push-ups, but do them with a slow, methodic rhythm for the best results. Stop doing the push ups if your lower back becomes tired.
This is an easier, modified version of the full push-up, but just as effective, and works the chest, the shoulders, abs, and the triceps. I started out doing 10 and worked up to 15, and am working up to 20 a day. If I am feeling particularly energetic, I do two sets a day (several hours apart). :flirt: You can place your arms wider apart to work your chest muscles more, just be careful your arms don't buckle and crash your chin into the countertop. :eyebrow: You can also adjust your distance from the countertop to find your most comfortable position, and to vary the strength of the push-ups.
This just seemed like an exercise I could do that doesn't require a super amount of energy, but gives great results. If you do them every day, you should start seeing a difference in about 4-6 weeks. Happy pushing!!!!! :weights:
Sexymama, i'm not sure about the weights but i think gettinskinny's push-ups sounds like a winner. MIMI

{hi} there Everyone
Anyone ever told you, you GUY’s and GAL’s are SIMPLY THE BEST!!! {grouphug1}
Mimi: For sure! I too believe that your success is LINKED to your desire!!! Because your desire is what keeps you going… it literally becomes your excuse to diet at all times!!!
GettinSkinny: 10 out of 10 for those counter top push-ups… We're all going to have such HOT BOD's if we keep doing these!!!
Sunaric: So nice having you back :bighug: Planning is a BIG KEY – a meal can be as simple as cottage cheese and cucumber / celery! Remember, your food became your medication!!! Just as long as you get it in - no more, no less, no fuss... YOU CAN DO IT!!
Here is some TICKER HELP by Mrs Peel
On the main Forum page, second topic from the top is "1st Personal Diet Tickers" - click on that and it will take you to the window where you can design your ticker and select a PIN for it. Once you've made your choices and saved them, you will be given the option of copying a link in HTML or BB code. Copy the BB code and then go to your Control Panel page. Select "Edit Signature" at the top left, and when the window appears, paste the BB code for your ticker into the box. Preview your signature to see that it works. From then on, when you update your ticker on the original link, the changes will automatically show up in your posts.
Easy!
Hope this helps :flirt:
OK guys, i weighed today and i only lost 10 lbs. I'm not real happy about that, but i'll deal with it. Every one's right the less you have to lose the less you lose and that sucks!! :sadeyes: Oh well, i'm ready to get focused on the next 12 weeks. Surely i'll be there by then? I'm sorry to be so negative!!! I WILL DO IT THE NEXT 12 WEEKS. :) There i feel better already. MIMI

First of all {grouphug1}
Look how much weight you lost. You did fabulous. We have almost the same amout of weight to lose and when I first got into this I thought I would lose it all in 12 wks but after reading and learning I really know that is most likely not possible!!!
When in your life were you able to lose that much weight in 12 wks? NEVER So don't be disapointed, be thrilled and look forward to dropping your last few lbs. Remember the closer we get to goal the harder it will be.
We sound a lot alike so please copy and paste this to me at the end of my 12 wks. {duh}

MiMi,
Congratulations! You are doing wonderfully. Be proud of your accomplishment. The numbers are going down! Remember how long it took to put the wieght on, probably years right? Now if it takes a few extra months to take it off, that's some freaky math equation, you still come out way, way ahead.
Great job sister!:party1:

MiMi-
Congrats!!! You are getting there. I know it is frustrating when the weight loss slow downs. I have been averaging 8-10 lbs. a month. Hang in there. I understand why you want to get it done in the next 12 weeks. I could have probably done it in my 2nd 12 weeks, but I took a HUGE nose dive in July and it has taken me a while to get the weight loss going again. I love your determination. Stick with it! The last few pounds are the hardest but most rewarding.

YAY MIMI!!!!! Congratulations on another 8 pounds gone forever! You are so close!!! You should probably start weighing yourself weekly now so you can request refeed when you're 4-5 pounds away! How exciting! Refeed is nothing to be afraid of. It's really quite fun! The first week isn't too exciting--you just get a new fruit each day and a piece of bread, and that increases and so does your portion sizes as the week goes on, then the second week gets really fun (at least on my refeed program), where you start to get to add carbs (popcorn, potato, pasta, rice, corn, beans, etc.) and even better fruits like strawberries and bananas! And more bread! Eventually working your way up to a cookie!!! So you'll be fine--refeed is something to look forward to! Just take what you're learning about eating & food while on the diet and plan to do similar things afterwards. You'll be fine! You can do it! :)

Hi Mary! I did weigh and am down 31.5! I am very happy with it. I am a little mad at myself though. I know if I would not have had my few cheats I would have been down 35 or 40! It's very hard to eat when your sick!
We all now have a bit of a cold! We are taking mega Vit. C and Zinc. I know the C has sugar but I have to get rid of this. We leave on Friday and I don't want to be sick!!!! I am praying it dosn't mess up my diet! Lauren advised me not to but I just cant afford to be super sick in Hawaii! What do you think?
