Well it's officially my TOM and I am starving, and craving everything bad. I did not deviate at all so I can only blame IT for the cravings. I took an extra vitamin I drank some hot tea. I don't know what else to do. UGHH I hate this.
I am going to the movie tonight and I am trying to figure out what to do to replace popcorn. I am thinking of taking a rice cake, breaking it up, spraying it with a little butter cooking spray and sprinkling with a little salt. I will use that for my cracker serving. Anyone else have any ideas?
On a different note my 15 month old used the potty for the first time yesterday and again today. I take no credit for this as he just did it. It is hard because I can't reward him with stickers because he does not care he is to young. I don't want to give him a cookie because I don't want food to be a reward. Any mom's have any suggestions what I can use for a reward that might peak his interest?

I'm so glad to hear people NOT wanting to give our children food as a "reward" - it definitely sets them up for problems down the road. While I'm not a mom, I think a lot of extra excitment and plenty of extra hugs, kisses and such would be a GREAT motivator! We always want to give THINGS to kids, but really all they want and need is our attention and love, particularly at this age. I teach a lot of kids swimming lessons and we offer lots of praise and encouragement as motivation -- same thing in youth sports. Things don't really motivate children as much as they do adults. Kids are REALLY into the recognition, and they love making their parents happy and smiley. Seeing mom really happy, clapping and giving lots of hugs and kisses might be reward enough!

I think are you 100% right. We sang the poopy in the potty song and clapped and made a huge deal and he was so happy. I think that might be enough.

Ha Ha SHAWn you look like you are or would be a GREAT DAD indeed YOU are RIGHT on the BUTTON I have three KIDS and YOU are right they thrive on recognition and NOT material things!!!!Ha Ha Rachinnj(Rachel) You have to sing the Poopy in the POTTY song I don't think I have heard that one and congratulating in not giving your YOUNG ONE sweets or the like for encouragement and I agree with SHaWN that Encouragement is FAR better and as YOU have seen He really LOVES it so!!!!RACHEl I don't want to distress YOU but are YOU craving a LOT the thing that impressed me HUGELY on this DIET is that I have had no CRAVING feels since day TWO and it really makes a diffrence (YES I still in those days reached out to take food out of HABIT but I put a stop to that Immediately!!)You CAN DO IT - Smile WHILE YOU LOSE WEIGHT and have a GREAT DAY!!!:innocent3:

Rachel,
I agree, it is rough to be female at times...But, you can do it. Take a hot bubble bath, that helps me. I've been taking them even though it is over 100 degrees. I've been cold a lot. I'm drinking so much ice water :)
I took my two little ones to the movie this am. I brought my apple and my crackers. I also had the bucket a seat away from me. No problem. Enjoy the movie, good luck, you can do it!
Congrats on the wee one using the potty. It will change your life. That and the new diet, and your will barely recognize yourself!
Blessings:praying:,

Hey Rachel... I'm sorry to hear you're having a little bit of a hard time... Hang in there, it will pass and the reward is certainly worth it..
So I don't know about you but I haven't eaten popcorn at the theater in I don't know how long without feeling guilty.. just like cake, which is why I was able to forfit having a birthday cake last week...
Congradulations on your 18 month old making the transition to using the potty!! wow, thats a big deal, I remember when we crossed that bridge... With regard to a reward.. lol I always found that kids liked a cardboard box to play in better than real toys.. and one of my kids favorite toys at that age was their fisher price piano.. Or the inexpensive plastic flute I bought on the toy isle at the drug store.. Anything to make noise!
Good job on the 13 lbs!!!

Thanks I can not believe how much more than me you lost. We both started on the same day. I had a deviation so maybe that is why but I am jealous :(.
My son is only 15 months old and you are right he would prefer to play with boxes than toys. LOL.
Movie popcorn has to be one of the most disgusting food on the planet. Although I love it I just kept telling myself that and ate my broken up rice cake and enjoyed it. Came home and had no guilt. I actually use to try avoid movies because I could not pass on the popcorn but now I kind of feel liberated that I can go to the movies and not have popcorn. I think I will go with my husband on Sat to see the new batman movie.

Rachel,
Be prepared, My boys went and saw that movie and it is three hours long. They said it is really good. (Revie of a 13 year old and a 14 year old.) Enjoy.
Kids do grow so fast. I can't beleive my oldest is starting high school. I remember so clearly the day he was born.
