Hey Poster Gal,
How are you doing? I'm on day three also. The hardest part for me is preparing everyone else's food. I never realized that when I'm cutting fruit, I'm popping every other in my mouth. Mindless eating. Licking my fingers etc. I has been very revealing :)
I feel very good so far. I'm drinking an absolute ton of water. And drinking green tea. I am also trying to take only one day at a time. When I think of the long term--even a month from now, it feels overwhelming. The other big help is this forum ;) I was out and about and had a late breakfast. I was supposed to eat lunch at 2, but didn't until 3. I was fine. I think that my body is so averse to sugar, that it is thanking me for the cleanse. Take care, you can do it!

Pumbza - Thank you for your encouraging words! I appreciate the advice of those who've blazed the trail before me. :)

Mei Mei- I'd have to agree - preparing for the fam. is tough. I too find myself, our of habit, doing certain things. It's interesting how many things I didn't realized I did. . .:hypnotic:
And I think it's cool we both started on the same day - kind of fun.{friendhug}

Poster Gal,
How are you doing? Day 6. Hopefully we will sail through the weekend and have our first week under our belts! Better than the tummy I have been carting around!:party1:
I have had a rough day yesterday and today. My whole family has been sick with high fever. You know, when I get sick, I want comfort. :crying:
But don't worry I won't cheat!!! I will stay strong because I have so much support. I hope you are doing well,
Blessings:praying:,

Thanks Mei Mei - I know, we're almost at a week - who'd thought?

Highlights -

Making it thru Day 4 - hunger finally subsided:munchies:

Finding enjoyment in Fruit again - not a big Orange or Apple fan, but slowly coming around{uhm}

Making it thru making dinner for the family. Last night I make a chicken stir fry for me (marinate of Sprite Zero, Orange slices, Vingear and Ginger) with alloted veggies. Made my family additions of rice, fried eggs and other veggies. They loved it. Phew!:party1:

Getting all the water in - great suggestion to have the big cup!

Feeling a sense of accomplishment! Hope you are too!:)

And hope your family is feeling better -that can be a tough one.

Hang in there!
G.

Hi PosterGal and Mei Mei! I also started the 28 and had a pretty good week! The hardest part for me is making dinner for my family!:hypnotic: I enjoyed my dinner but the smell of theirs was killing me. I had to go outside on the patio and eat! I can tell you I won't be making them Chili Frito Cass. again!!! I just keept saying to myself that if I did't eat their dinner it would undo everything I have done and that is so not worth it!! I agree with having a big cup! I have been using a 1 liter Dasani bottle!
I am feeling I need some varity for breakfast so I plan to try the Zuccini hashbrowns and the Choen friendly chili! I will let you know how they turn out!
Mei Mei -- hope you and your family are feeling better!
Great job on our first week girls!! Lets shoot for one more! (small goals!!:party1:

Hey Sexymama,
Sorry to have left you off the July 28 group! So glad to hear you are doing well. I've learned this week to have my meals measured and ready when I cook for everyone else. Two reasons, one: I'm usually hungry when it is time for dinner, and two: if I am ready for my own meal, it is so beautiful with all the color and flavor, I don't mind smelling, seeing theirs. I am also realizing that my family isn't eating very healthily:thinking:
that's my job to fix! Blessings to you, and enjoy the rest of the day. One more day and we have made it a week!

Hey Ladies, I agree - make your family the same food, but you don't have to weight theirs and you can add fun side dishes here and there for them if you want (i.e. potatoes or noodles, etc.) My husband lost weight with me just 'cause he ate the same foods. Even if they don't have weight to lose they will be eating healthier which is good all around.

Good morning!
I am happy to report on the beginning of day seven:
I have lost 7.5 pounds, I woke up feeling great after two yucky days, I have more energy and want to start working out, I can't believe I have made it this far.:applause:
I honestly believe I couldn't have done it without you guys! What a wonderful group of friends and supporters.
I log on so many times a day, you might think it is obnoxious, but it seems such an important part of the diet to me. It truly gets me through. Any time I feel yucky, not hungry because I havent' been, but the urge to eat often happens to me without hunger, I log on. Thank you, thank you, thank you, and God Bless you all for being here. :innocent3:
I admire your courage and strength. Look at what you've accomplished and what you are doing for others. Way to go diet buddies.
Question, can I change my ticker? or do I have to wait until 4 week mark?

Yes Mary you can change ur ticker its just that Shasha and co believe rightly so that if you keep on using ur scale there will come a time when u PLATEAU with your weight and YOU could find Your Self discouraged so the IDEA is that u should put ur scale away till UR 4 weeks is UP so you can then see ur overall weight!!!As all the DIET buddies have SAID it really is the right way to do things but it is finally up to you I know it helped me BIg time in MY first 4 weeks!!!I think in the beginning even though u don't crave food u are still in the mode of eating for the sake of eating because that's what we all have been use to (especially emotional eaters like me!!) and I found myself in the beginning reaching out to eat forbidden FOOD but luckily I knew it was WRONG and did not do it!!(Thank Goodness!!Ha Ha!)Yes I know God will Blesses You too have a MAGICAL DAY and Congratulations on YOUR PROGRESS YOU are a STAR (A Shooting STAR!!!)!:innocent3:
