Pumbza,
I totally stick to that name because if I made up something really cool I would forget it!! :) I have such a bad memory. I use to teach junior high school choir and then after Max was born I decided to stay home. I started classes to learn how to teach baby sign and then I started teaching them at the Dublin Rec Center. It was soooo much fun with the little babies and toddlers. It was NEVER stressful, the first class I was a little nervous meeting the parents. Singing infront of kids is great, singing infront of parents was pure terror at first :) Yes, in my signing class I had to sign and sing. I gave it up when I had Cayden because I was breastfeeding (TMI) and it was an hour and a half round trip. Have a great week.

Hi Sharma,
I'm from Washington state too! I live in California now but part of me will always miss Washington, even with all the rain! When it is sunny, there is no more beautiful place. So lush and green, and all the people are so happy when it's sunny. Here we're so used to it, that I think we take it for granted. I'm sure it's similar in Arizona.

I live in Michigan near Ann Arbor, the home of the Michigan Wolverines! But, none of my family attended the UofM. My son graduated from a private engineering school in Flint MI and my daughter just graduated from the United States Air Force Academy and is now in Texas for Intelligence school.
Phyllis, i have a son that live in Alabama and he LOVES the WOLVERINES. I don't know why, but he always has. Congratulations on you daughters success. I also have a son in the military, he is in the army and stationed in South Carolina, he has been to IRAQ twice. The first time was when the war began and at that time he was in Ft Bragg in the 82nd Airborne Infantry troop in North Caroline and then he went to Ft Campbell Kentucky and was sent back over to IRAQ. Thank God he made it home safely. Anyway, enough about my family, sounds like your daughter is doing great. :)

Phyllis,
Lucky you! I'm from Michigan, and really wish I could visit right now. We've been in the hundreds here in Texas.Everything is dying in this heat/drought. I always miss Michigan in the summer. My husband graduated from UofM and went to law school there. He is the biggest fan you could imagine. It is in his family's blood :) Go Blue. I was at the grocery store when we were down in Florida, and there was an old guy, in a wheelchair with an oxygen tank. He had a Michigan cap on. I walked over to him, smiled and said ,"Go Blue!" He got the biggest smil on his face. Once a fan, always a fan.
MiMi and Phyllis--thank your children for me for their service. I am proud to be an American and very thiankful for our armed service heros. I know the media doesn't portray it that way, but Most Americans are very proud of them!!!{grouphug1}
Blessings,:praying:

Ditto to what Mei Mei has said I think the whole world OWES AMERICA BIG time for risking there sons & Daughters and Loved Ones To COMBAT TERRORISM on a HUGE scale!!I don't wan't to start a serous debate but I think the REST of THE WORLD LEFT AMERICA ALL on there own to defend the WORLD as a BIG BROTHER with no support from the other countries who should have JOINED in!!And now the WORLD CRITIZES there EVERY MOVE but I am afraid to SAY AMERICA was right ALL ALONG!!!I however don't think it was IN VAIN after 9/11 I think the Terrorist have been given a VERY Bloody NOSE!Anyway enough of that but yes thanks to all the AMERICAN DIET BUDDIES who have sacrified a lot for the WAR effort I think it was well worth it!!!Have a GREAT DAY!!!

Thanks for all the support from around the world for our US Troops! I agree with Pumbza....and I think, even with all the critisicm that Pres. Bush is receiving these days, that 30 years from now history will show that he and the military advisors were dead on with their decisions!! BTW....President Bush was the speaker at the Air Force Academy graduation this year. The ceremony was outside in the football stadium and the weather was cold (upper 40's farenheit) and rainy. President Bush stayed out there in that crummy weather for the WHOLE ceremony AND saluted and shook the hand of EVERY graduating cadet (all 1012 of them) as they received their diplomas!

Mimi.....so, your son likes to jump out of perfectly good airplanes, huh??? Lori did her one jump in order to pass her Jump class and that was it....she thought she was gonna die!! AND she's not usually afraid of ANYTHING!....she was my daredevil little kid!
Thank your son for me!! Is he gonna make the military his career??
Phyllis, my son is a dare devil. He wanted to do the hardest thing possible and that's what he did. I freaked out when he told me that he was going to be JUMPING OUT OF PLANES. I can't tell you how much i worried about him, but GOD was good, as always and brought him home safely. He joined the ARMY right out of highschool and has been in there ever since. He told me that this was what he was going to do when he was 13!!! but, i thought he would change his mind.......not him. Anyway, yes this will be his career, he will be able to retire when he's in his early 40's. He has been in the military for almost 8 years now. Oh, just one more thing that i must tell you. He is a SHARP SHOOTER as well!!!!! I freaked again. One good thing is that he's attending college while he's in the military so when he does retire he can work and still Retire from the army. I will let him know how my 1pd friends appreciate him. :bighug: MIMI

Hey Plumbza.. I echo the THANKS for supporting our country!! That is soo nice to hear especially since many of us have friends and children in the Military... Its hard to listen to the media, according to them the entire world hates us... And of course everything is the Presidents fault... The Senate and Congress are the largest culprits of our problems..

CalamityJ YOU must realise that the MEDIA SUCKS because as usual GOOD NEWS does not sell so why not create bad NEWS we have it here as well its so bad here we can't even sue the PAPERS for the RUBBISH they write so I know how YOU feel!!!Ha Ha!:innocent4:What I do say if the MEDIA critises YOUR country that means AMERICA is doing GREAT and the right things I just feel sorry for YOU PEOPLE sacrifising YOUR KIDS for others but thats what GOOD Humanitarians DO and YOU will be LOOKED after ESPECIALLY by GOD because YOU are trying to help YOUR FELLOW MAN!!!I LOVE AMERICA I love the POSTIVENESS and THE WAY of the AMERICAN DREAM and like all things sometimes things are not PERFECT but the IDEA is GREAT and ONCE AGAIN we are all HUMAN we make mistakes but at least we CAN TRY!!!We all don't hate YOU and why does everyone want to do what AMERICA does because they do it so well so give credit where credit is due and like any country there are some parts that are not great like poverty unemployment the current financial situation etc but no one expects AMERICA to be PERFECT its NOT POSSIBLE!!!BUT YOU ARE OUR BIG BROTHER and thats so GREAT have a GOOD DAY and be PROUD of YOUR COUNTRY!!!:innocent3:

Pumbza,
You are so right! Most of us do love our country, but a small minority of America haters seem to hold the reigns on the media. Good point: if everyone hates America so much, why do they immitate us?
Jane I agree, the President is one man, house and congress are made up of many. He has made some mistakes, but as Pumbza points out--no one is perfect. (Except God) :praying:
I never like it when people criticize without offering solutions. It is easy to sit back and criticize someone. Any ding bat can do that. The real courage comes from fighting for what we believe in, supporting our troups, voting to express opinion, and being good citizens. Do you know they don't teach good citizenship in school anymore? Let's keep praying for our country. :flag: In God we trust!!!
