Okay folks,
I'm going to attempt to upload a few pictures here. Turns out I don't have a whole lot of before photos because I absolutely hated how I looked in pictures (I'm sure many of you can relate) and I wasn't smart enough to take a couple of good before photos prior to starting 1PD. I also haven't gotten many good after photos yet. I keep meaning to when I go out or dress up and somehow forget to have someone take them. These show pretty well what I looked like before and what I look like now. I'm still going to take an after photo in my big pants too and I'll post that once I'm done. Here are the before: Me at my sister's wedding reception, my family at my sister's wedding (I want to show how my husband lost weight as a side effect), and me at Christmas year before last. I'll post the after in the next thread as I'm not sure how many photos I can upload at once.

Okay - Here are the after photos: The first is me with my Mom and my son (Dylan - age 2 1/2); Then me at my birthday party thrown by my lovely sister Lauren; Then me with my son again... not a great shot but you can see how thin my arms and face look here; Then my husband and I in the haunted dressing room at the Queen Mary Hotel last week. Thanks to all of you for wanting to see. Sorry I don't have better body shots but I'll work on getting a couple of good ones in the next week or so. BTW - the clothes now (sorry if you know this already but I'm still in disbelief) are size 2 pants and either small or extra small tops. I LOVE 1PD!!!
WOW, that's awesome, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!!!!! Little miss size 2 :applause: CONGRATULATIONS MIMI

Wow Bronwyn, you look just as I suspected...gorgeous, kind, happy, and sweet! I am so amazed by your progress. You are a radiant woman! Your husband and son look so happy and proud, and wow it is super obvious that your husband lost weight from your diet. Men! It seems like it's so easy for them! My husband has also lost weight. Anyways, thanks for the inspiration. You rock! A size two!

But seeing your after picture makes it real. It's not just rubbish. Everything you say and everything Sasha says is true. Thanks friend.

SIZE 2!!!!! Thats FANTASTIC you skinny minny! Your hubby must be so proud of his gorgeous "new" wife, and I might add his own new hot physique. Thanks for posting the pictures, it does help encourage those of us just starting out tremendously to see what the light at the end of the tunnel will look like. Great job beautiful lady (I always picture this beautiful medieval damsel sitting in the castle window when I see your name BRONWYN). Youve inspired me to get my camera out and have someone take some before photos of me to post when I reach goal. Yes, I too have always avoided the camera, even when thin, just dont like having my picture taken, but this will be for a good cause.

{hi} there Bronwyn – our very own SUPER MODEL MOM!! {cheerleader}
WOOOOOOWWWWW!!!! :clapping3: JUST LOOK AT YOU!!!!
Your transformation is breath taking!!!
Small confession for Lauren: I started crying too – just cos I am sooooo very happy for Bronwyn and sooooo very proud of her tooo!!!!
Bronwyn: It’s been a long road since you first joined the 1st Personal Diet Program, but this fantastic transition has been so well worth every sacrifice that you have ever made to get here!!! You are right, nothing tastes as good as you now clearly feel!!!
You’ve gone from somebody’s Mom to SUPER BABE!!! And you look WONDERFUL!!!! to say the very least!
THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!!
THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! For posting your beautiful photo’s – it’s such a wonderful feeling to actually SEE your fantastic transformation!!!
Yes, your hubby really looks GREAT! and your son is GORGEOUS, but, YOU my friend, take the cake!!!
You don’t even look like the same person anymore and if someone didn’t know you and saw you in the street, they would for sure think: “she’s soooo lucky – clearly she’s never had a problem with her weight before…” little would they know the sacrifices you have made.
Thank you for the wonderful example you have been to everyone reading this Forum and to everyone who will still read your posts in the days, weeks and months to come…
Here’s a bunch of cyber flowers just for you with lots of love from me :love7:
Thank you for making this such an extraordinary day!!! It’s such an encouragement for everyone to see a beautiful transformations like this and clearly your whole family has been transformed!!!

Thank you so much everyone! Wow are you all good for my ego!!!
Lauren - Thank YOU for inspiring me to take control of my health once and for all and for your never-ending support through the whole process. Six months of motivating me - You are an angel and I'm so lucky to have you.
Shasha - It is funny, but people who've known me for a long time (i.e. when I was thin so many years ago) - even they say they do not recognize me. I find that while I'm talking to people they are just staring at me and when I finish what I'm saying they say "I'm sorry I really wasn't listening... You are just freaking me out by how different you look!" It's very funny. Thank YOU dear Shasha for all you do for us diet buddies. You made my journey so much more interesting, fun, and well - your support is vital to the success of this program. We LOVE you!!!
Rbride05 - YES - You MUST take some good before pics. I think we also need them to remind us of how we never want to look or feel again. I just cringe when I see them and have no idea how I ever let myself get like that. Life happens and of course we don't gain all that weight over night. You know I think in my head that I always felt like the same me and that I was just "bloated". Haha. That's a lot of water-weight, huh?
I'll look forward to all of your continued successes and will look out for your photos too. (Except for Shasha who lives in cyberspace so probably has a hot cyberbod not suited for displaying here...) Ha ha ha...

Hey Ifinigers! I actually lost a total of 53 pounds since Jan 2nd (started 1PD 1/22) as I started "clean eating" on Jan 2nd getting ready to start 1PD. You can do this too!!! Glad the pictures help. As I said, the before are very inspiring for me to keep eating clean and healthy and to not let that happen ever again!

Thank you so much Momof4!!! I will look forward to seeing your pictures someday too. Yes - it is very important to me to set a good example for my son. Especially since my husband and I both tend to put on weight, I don't want the same for him, or if he tends to be that way too I want him armed with knowledge and already loving his veggies (okay - I may be pushing it there...) but at least be able to force himself to eat them.

I have been putting off responding because I wanted to come up with the perfect thing to say.... Well, I still don't have it... so here I go anyway... 1) It is very nice to be able to put a face with the name. We have been going through this together since January and I feel like I have just met a longtime friend. 2) I am so proud of you and all that you accomplished. Those pictures are a testimontial to what you have done. You struck to this diet 100% and look at the results. 3) I also wanted to let you know how beautiful you look. You just glow. 4) You have been such an inspiration to everyone in this forum and those pictures will allow new people to see that this diet works if you follow it 100% 5) You have been there for me and have been my best cheerleader especially when I am ready to throw in the towel. You are there urging me on.... THANK YOU!!!!!! I can't wait to post my before and after next to yours.

{hi} there Bronwyn & AmyLynn
:crying: me too!!! Tears of joy!!!
Yes, the Forum has indeed been a fabulous place and {noway} do we ever want any of our Diet Buddies to leave…
If you take a coal out of the fire, it can become cold and die quickly… In the same way, it can be too easy to forget about the hard work and the great accomplishments if people aren’t there to remind you to make good choices etc.
Truth be told, I still feel bad about how some have of our Diet Buddies have just left – it almost feels like part of the Forum dies without their input… and those of you who’ve been around will know the feeling I’m meaning… to all our successful Re-feeding completed Diet Buddies: PLEASE DON’T LEAVE!!! We need you!!! {wave}

Bronwyn, yeah I noticed we had the about the same goal too. Were you able to do it in 12 weeks? I've read so many awesome stories that they are getting jumbled up in my head, so I can't remember. I am hoping to be able to do it in 12 weeks. So far I am on day 7 and have lost 7 lbs. I know most of it is probably water weight, but it still makes me happy.

Very inspirational! You look fabulous!
May I ask how it is now in regards to what you eat? As in, do you get to eat pizza once in awhile? Just curious because temtation seems to always be there for me on the weekends when my husband and I are together, plus all the family BBQ's. I keep telling myself, Pizza will always be there, no need to dig in now! It helps keep my willpower strong!
Thank you for sharing!

Hi Suzanne,
Thanks for the compliments! Yes - I can have pizza - NOW AND THEN - and other naughty foods in moderation. I have been done with refeed for almost 2 months now and have gone up and down a bit on the scale. I just follow the After Diet rules to bring the weight back down and that works. After two months of trying most everything I've missed, I'm ready now to just focus on eating healthy 1PD food MOST of the time and only having naughty foods when it is a special occasion and/or as a treat once in a while. We are all here for a reason - we needed help to get our weight and our overeating under control. For most of us this will be an ongoing, lifelong issue. Keeping our hormones under control by following the 1PD rules will certainly make the after-diet-life much easier, but temptations will always be there. We MUST get in the mindset that this is not a 12 week diet, but a total lifestyle change. Honestly, the fact that I'm wearing - and look GOOD in - size 2's is enough motivation to keep me on track. I threw away all my big clothes so this is it... the new me... and I'm never going back!
I will look forward to watching your progress. Best of luck to you! This diet is truly the most amazing thing I've ever found and it works. Enjoy the ride!!
Browyn it's so nice to hear from you, Please keep us informed on how your doing and keep giiving that great advice. :party1: MIMI

Hi bronwyn its GREAT to see YOU succeeding it GIVES US NEWBIES HOPE for the FUTURE!!The thing I feel about this DIET it gives me things that no other DIET gives and that number 1 I have no cravings so cheating to me is not forced anymore Number 2 the Biggest thing for me on most DIETS there is no recovery plan with DR COHEn if YOU stray and YOU put on weight YOU have two ways to rectify it first by the 48hr no carbs diet then if that doesn't work the original full Dr COHEN DIET but as YOU have said the 48Hr DIET works adequately! The other thing the DIET is doing for me is the first TIME I really understand my BODY and how it performs with certain foods I use to eat carbs three times a day when I am finished I will keep it ONCE a DAY and if more than this it wil be considered a "BREAK OUT" then the RED lights start flashing ALARM BELLS go off and we take action!!The other thing is that all the GREAT advice and encouragement on gets on the site is GREAT so many PLUS's and VERY FEW NEGATIVES YOU GOT TO LOVE THE DR COHEN's DIET!!!:innocent4:

Bronwyn (and MrsPeel) - here's a random question for you...
Do you feel skinny? Has it set in that you really did it? That it is you when you look in the mirror?
The reason I ask is, being overweight most of my life, I really can not imagine being a size 8, let alone a 2 like you girls. Even now, I realize I'm losing weight, but I know it will take time to believe that I can really do it. As I'm doing it, it hits me. You know that when you are overweight and you look in the mirror, you don't really see yourself the size you really are. I don't want to look in the mirror when I'm a size 6 and see a 16. Does this make sense? I just wondered how you mentally adjusted to being skinny.

AMEN....I've been having the same thoughts. I CANNOT imagine what I'll be like at a size below, say, size 10! I remember shopping for clothes in my early teens and always had to get the "husky" size. As I look back at pictures, etc. from my "earlier life" (junior high, high school) I realize I was never really FAT....but large boned and filled out (I grew up on a farm and was always working outside or with the animals and probably was more muscular than other kids my age). BUT....I let the mean kids who called me fat influence my way of thinking so at some point I must have let myself believe that I was fat and gave into it. Guess my self esteem was way lacking!
SOOOO.....not anymore!!!! This is my metamorphosis!!:party1:
I've lost 4 more pounds this week....and, yes, I am a scale-a-holic!!
Phyllis (whee...hold on and enjoy the ride!!!)

Hi there!
Mrs. Peel, Thank you so much for the kind words. I am SO HAPPY for you that you are getting your refeed!!! You have been such a rock on this diet and now you are reaping the rewards!... and YES - I do feel we have a special bond. I'll look forward to your and Mr. Peel's before and after photos too. Can't wait and it looks like maybe I won't have to wait too long, huh?
Happytmo and Phyllis - I am actually a bit of the opposite of you in that I was always VERY SKINNY growing up (until I quit dancing in my early 20's) and I think I rarely faced reality about how much weight I gained or how big I became. In my head, I sort of always felt "bloated" - not fat. Weird, I know, but it always seem strange to me that I had to buy size 12 and 14 clothes or large shirts because in my head I was the same person. Now that I am a 0/2 (still can't believe that) I feel "back to normal" and I am enjoying the heck out of it! I feel reacquainted with the old Bronwyn and I don't ever want to lose sight of her again. This is what feels right.

Happytmo, my story is like Bronwyn's - I was always slender, so I really didn't ever adjust my sense of my appearance as I gained weight. It was still photographs that shocked me into seeing how heavy I'd become. So now, at 5 pounds from my goal weight, I look in the mirror and see - ME. The way I've always felt I looked. And now once again, I do. It is an indescribably joyous feeling!
Bron - pix soon, I promise!
