Has anyone missed periods since starting the 1pd? I am 50 and been having periods for months at time then miss a month every now and then. I'll go 6-9 months before skipping. Now, since I started on 1pd I have not had a period. Do you think this is due to the hormone changes??? I've been on the plan for one month...

Thanks,
Sharon:thinking:

My cycle is extremely light and I have only cramped a little bit:praying: It has been extremely nice since sometimes I get migranes, horrible cramping and heavy flow. Sorry for the tmi. Maybe my hormones are getting back on track.:party1:

Hi Ladies,

Thanks so much. I'm not sure if its the diet or menopause causing no periods but I'll take what I can get. Yipee!!!

{hi} there Shart

:thinking: Weight changes either in the form of weight gain or weight loss, might temporarily affect your menstrual cycle, but if your cycle is not normalized after the Re-feeding Program, I would recommend that you do go for a check up...

Happy slimming!!! {cheerleader}

Sorry, ladies but I am glad to say I cannot help you out on this one.... I have always had a heavy flow like clock work every month. As I got older, they became even heavier, a lot heavier. I changed gynecologists and my new doc asked if I had ever heard of a procedure called thermal ablasion. I had not, but basically they sear the inside of your uterus with scalding water (while you are under anesthesia of course), and I haven't had a period since having that procedure done. It's been heaven!!!!!:cloud9: I know, unrelated to the original question, but if any of you are suffering from extremely heavy periods, this procedure is the bomb!!!
