Hi everybody today is my 1st day on 1pd and oh my goodness is was hard but I ate everything including the veggies. I'm not a BIG veggie fan, and well we have veggies w/ all our 3 meals. Now I just need to get through lunch and dinner. I have to admit though when I was eating my breakfast and got to the veggie part I had 2nd thoughts about getting on the program only because it was really hard. Everybody here on the forums are so strong though, so when I read what you all have to say it's so encouraging.

welcome gorda!
well done on choosing 1st personal.
it is fabulous!
if you do not like veggies with breakfast....you will very soon. try zucchini hash browns. they are soooo yummy. also i love to spray a pan and saute my mushroom allowance for a few mins and then add my egg. spinach omelet is quick and yummy too.
failing that have greek yoghurt and fruit for brekkie.
in order to change your mind, body & spirit you have to eat your veggies.
you will not be able to maintain any new weight loss without eating mostly protein and veg. you cannot expect to eat many carbs or starches after re-feed. it just isn't an option. so the sooner you adjust your palate, the better. it is hard to change, but you can do it. we'll help!!!
well done for starting. that is a giant step-

Hi GORDA
This is only day 6 for me. I think I felt the same when I got my menu plan. The first couple days I ate kinda boring (If you know what I mean), but then I started reading these posts and the receipe ideas and spicing up my meals a bit each day. For example this AM I had yogurt with some cinnamon/splenda over cantaloupe, yummy crackers for a snack, and at lunch Im gonna try one of the Tuna Melt suggestions and for dinner, Lettuce wraps using some steak. And if I save my fruit Im gonna make a baked apple for dessert. And tomorrow Im really gonna step out and make the receipe for Tiliapia using mango and cilantro. Oh yeah, and a nice refreshing glass of Pelegrino mineral water, with ice and mint. Believe me,,Im not a great cook, so if I can do it you can too. HANG IN THERE,

This diet is so worth all the veggies. I tried on some jeans today that have been tight for a while. They fit, a little loose too. HAPPY TIMES!!!!!:party1:
I'm on my 2nd week of the diet. I'm not as tired or stressed over what to eat. The 2nd vitamin at lunch helps a lot.
You'll get used to it. Give it time and check out the recipes.
