Hello everyone! I have been reading some of the previous posts and you guys have given some great advice. I am on my 3rd day today and have been excited to see the results.
A little about myself, I am a high school teacher, married with 2 kids. I ruptured my achilles tendon last fall and that was a devastation to me and my body. I am looking forward to feeling better about myself.

{hi} there Dgillaspy
A very WARM WELCOME to you!!!
The first three days are the worst – so please hang in there and continue to follow your eating plan 100% for the best results you possibly can get and I'm sure you'll be feeling better in a few days from now already :flirt:
IF everyone else can be successful, so can YOU!!! {cheerleader}
Please tell us more about yourself, where are you from? Please also get a ticker so that we can monitor your progress in the future as you go along… {boing}

I am from Rifle, Colorado. And I have found that the first two and a half days weren't that bad. I know from viewing the pictures and reading the stories that I can do this. I took a picture of myself on my start day and will post it when I hit one or two weeks as an added incentive. I hope that it will inspire someone else to do this as well.
Thanks for the encouragement!

Hi dgillaspy,
Congratulations on taking the first step. I know it seems like a long way at first (it does to me too) - but take inspiration from everyone on this forum, they are so dedicated. Just think how fast 12 weeks flys by - that is more than twice the length of time since last Christmas ... imagine how much you can change by then.
Good luck and stay strong.

dgillaspy: Welcome to our world! I have found these posts to be most encouraging. The recipe section has wonderful ideas to work with in adding a variety to your meals. This diet plan works. I am amazed at how quickly the weight dropped off at first. It did slow down a little, but does continue to drop. So, hang in there and good luck to you. Stay as honest as you can, but if you slip, do not berate yourself. Just keep going! I look forward to watching you progress.

I love your "SMILE, :D you’re losing weight" …
to me it sounds a lot better a reason to SMILE :D than
“Smile :D you’re on Candid Camera”…

I'm so excited to post. I'm on day 5, officially. I have been reading the posts since I started. Yesterday was sooo hard. I stayed on track 100% but I was so grouchy to my family and hungry all day. I explained it to my family it's like when mom stopped smoking cold turkey or dad quite drinking beer. I'm detoxing. I took Sasha's advice today and took my 2nd vitamin at lunch time. Today was so much better. I also got on the scale last night, my bad. I had to see that it was all paying off. The scale is now put away and won't be used again for a while.
A little bit about me. I'm 33 and have been overweight a long time. I live in Utah and got on the bus when I saw a good friend lose 55 lbs.
Thanks for all the support.
