Well I am on day 3 woke up at 5am much earlier than I woke up in the past full of energy rearing to go not so hungry although can't wait for Breakfast (I think I am having more diffrent Breakfast's on this DIET than my NORMAL Boring but once Nice Bacon and EGGS and I am really enjoying it!).:innocent4:I was running to the Toilet BIG TIME yesterday with all my liquids I have been drinking its strange I have drank lots of liquids before sometimes 4 Litres laced with FRUIT JUICE and I never seemed to go to toilet that much I must have retained a lot of water in my body!Got through yesterday's seminar unscathed only had Black Strong Coffee that seemed to suppress the appetite a bit but I prefer Green Tea much more tastier and Healthier I think!Saw adverts on food and choclate's don't miss them yet thats a GOOD SIGN!One thing I like about this DIET compared to the other Million I have been on is that its Balanced and I know that obesity is a Disease its not just my Ill Discipline thats causing my past weight increase!Past diets have also been lacking something so the DIET was not balanced to give you a chance to complete the DIET you are on in other words LOW carbo and Hig protien DIET which lack's other nutrients required for the body to run smoothly so One was in a DIET that could not be sustained (I know I am waffling on Hope I made my point Ha HA).Bye for NOW!:innocent3:

Hi there! So glad to hear your energy is back up already and that you're feeling good! I'm so proud of you for making it through your first big challenge - the SEMINAR - and so early in your diet too! I hope you realize what an accomplishment that was. Yes - this diet is the best thing ever and I'm so happy that you have found it. I know you'll be a rock star and you'll feel so much better and your children are going to be so proud of their pop who'll be around for them a LOT longer now that he's taken control of his health. Well done Pumbza!!!

Yes the seminar was tough but its great I am through the first hurdle in the Old days or Before Cohen Diet I would have succumed with some feeble excuse not this time!:innocent4:I have to take my son and daughter and Mom to the airport and have to stay in a Hotel for a night or Two so I am planning my stay will have to go with cold Protein and salads and fruit and provita its another big challenge early in my DIET but I am ready for it and Know I will succeed!Mom and Son and Daughter will have to eat take-aways in their room definitely not in my room thats for sure they have already agreed to help which is great my Kids and Mom want to see me grow old and Grey Ha Ha!I in turn would like to see there Grandchildren some time which is another Goal added to my list thanks Bronwyn (Never Thought of that)!:innocent3:

Its amazing how fast time goes when u are having fun Ha Ha!:innocent4:Day 4 feeling full of energy up at the crack of dawn by choice starting to do more things than before not sluggish and sleepy but full of the JOYS of a Sunny Winter!
Getting use to eating at 5 hour intervals I am having 3 meals namely breakfast lunch and supper to get my timings right I eat all my food at these times only I drink One liter of water between Breakfast and Lunch and the other Litre between Lunch and Supper to fill any holes that crop up!I do it this way else I have a tendency to forget the snacks during the day!I use to love snacking at night I have with the Help of my MOM locked the Fridge in her side of the HOUSE so no need to go to the Kitchen JUST encase!I now try and Go to Bed earlier to avoid any temptation!Having Fillet steak and salad for Supper and enjoying the taste a lot more than before to think at one time I nearly consumed a 1.8 Kg steak at one sitting and now I eat 130g (I know I am not proud of that feat imagine the Agony my body must have gone through)!I think after abusing my body for nearly 50 years its time to GIVE it my full attention for say the next 20 Years what do u think!I do find when I stay up late the Hunger Pangs do bite a little but a bit of discipline will be GOOD as well!Well thats it have a GREAT DIET DAY to all the DIET BUDDIES!:innocent3:

Oh Pumbza! I hear you 100%. I used to could pack away a HUGE steak myself - I would sometimes eat as much or more in one sitting than my husband (who is 6' 1") and while I always knew in my head that there was no NEED to eat that much I WANTED to 'cause it tasted so damned good!!! Well - now I will enjoy the GOOD taste, but will not let myself get so full I feel disgusting for an hour after eating. You're doing great - Keep it up! I was a late night snacker too. Gum really helps to curb that habit for me. I feel like I'm having something, but I'm not...

Hi Bronwyn,
Sorry I am writing so much but I have added a few extra's to my COHEN DIET and that is I will come on this FORUM everyday as much as possible to get my DOSE of not food but my other medicine Namely MOTIVATION (YOU CAN DO IT!!!) Ha Ha!!:innocent4:And I can not resist the chance to communicate !
I am looking at food a new way even on my 5th Day only before food was a way of controlling emotions and feeling good but all the sugar etc made me feel bad!Now for the first time I am full of energy (My Poor Employees the BOSS is Super Motivated!!Ha Ha) and I look at food and I don't crave it we use to PIG out on a curry every Friday night the food was ok but the portions could feed a family PLUS on the Cohen DIET and I would say "Oh I don't Eat So MUCH"Ha Ha WHat a Joke!!!I now enjoy the taste of food much more now!
What I confused for Hunger Pains I now laugh at because I realise these so called pains is my Body munching up kgs of LARD so I like the SO CALLED HUNGER pains GOOOOO BOYS and GIRLS eat all the FAT I wanne Be THIN (Sorry for going over the TOP I am in a Brialliant Mode SUPERCHARGED!).
Have a GREAT DAY!!!!:innocent3:

Wow - 3am!!?? What time did you go to bed to wake up rearing to go at 3am?? Your posts sound so positive, happy, and inspiring. You're doing so great! Keep it up Pumbza! I still have my diet sprite too, but only 1 can a day, usually in the evening with my apple. That has been kind of my dessert and my alcohol or "fun drink" replacement throughout the whole time.

With regards to the skin loosening... I used skin firming creme throughout the whole time and I think that really helped a lot. I haven't had a problem at all, except in my very lower belly and even that it looking really good now at the end of my journey here. I do know the more you have to lose, the more that loose skin is a possibility, but your body will continue to readjust now and then too. In other words, it may be loose this week, but within a week or two it kind of catches up to the loss. I really do recommend at least a good skin-firming lotion though... Vanity first my friend.

Mrs. Peel has had some "vacuuming" sessions that have really helped her too, from what I understand. Perhaps she can share with you or you can find her older thread regarding this. I had planned on going if I needed, but lucky for me I did not.

Hey, Bron - yes, I am still a big proponent of endermologie. Pumbza, I was getting treatments by an endermologist before the Plan and during the first couple of sessions. I plan on getting more treatments to help with the loose skin, but can't afford it right now. Here in the USA it costs anywhere from $90-$120 per hour session.
Endermologie was developed in France and involves a system of kneading and suctioning the skin so as to stimulate circulation, collagen production and loosen up the bands of tissue that bind the epidermis to the fat layer beneath. The dimpling you see in fatty skin (or celllulite) is due to these fibrous bands getting tight and less supple. I started it initially to help me with excessive fluid retention and a sluggish lymph system. Even before the 1PD plan, I had lost many inches with the endermologie treatments.
At first, it feels a bit weird, but after a few treatments, it becomes quite relaxing. Maybe you have a practitioner somewhere near you?

I am afraid I am really out of my depth here the only cream I ever used was on dry lips and what u ladies are talking about is GREEK to me!Ha Ha:innocent4:Sorry I am just ignorant do u have any brand names Bronwyn by chance I am hoping that my body will recover as it goes and I may not need to do all these weird and wonderful things this may be normal for Ladies who love to be pampered but I am afraid to say I am the common Old Garden type male and I am ignorant of creams etc just as well my daughters would have a HUGE laugh at me !Ha Ha!Thanks for the helpful advice and have a great day!:innocent3:

Hi, Pumbza!

Bron will have to let you in on her creams secrets - what I was suggesting is endermologie, which is like getting a massage, except that it is done by a trained technician using a vacuuming/rolling/kneading machine. You lay on a table, like a massage table, and the tech uses the attachment to knead and deep-tissue massage your skin. It helps with circulation, skin firming, lymphatic issues, and even pain. It is widely used in the sports world (on lots of manly men like yourself!) to relieve muscular pulls and tears, and to keep the skin elastic and healthy.
If you Google "endermologie" I'm sure you will find lots of info!

Hi Pumbza! Just for the record - I miss you today! I've already gotten used to your posts as they are so uplifting and you are so much fun. Hope your trip is going well and looking forward to having you back.

Also - forgot to fill you in on the lotions. In any supermarket or drug store you can find these firming lotions along with all the other body lotions. There are some that are very expensive, but many are not. Hope that helps Metro Man!! Ha Ha!!

Dear DIET BUDDIES (BRONWYN & SHAHSA),

First of all I missed all u DIET BUDDIES like crazy I did not plan for that so I am going to have to find away when I am away to keep in contact with my DIET BUDDIES!Ha Ha:innocent4:

I did cheat but not in the food department I peeked at my scale (imagine me in a cupboard peeking at the scale Ha Ha!!) I have done this for the second and LAST TIME till my week 4 is up!I just needed a motivation lift not to sure whats happening even though I look the same and my stomach is feeling smaller I needed hard evidence and I weighed and got of the scale and reweighed to make very sure!AND HERE ARE THE RESULTS{violin} can u hear the DRUM roll over the LOUD VOILEN here goes:-
I LOST 10Kgs Or 22lbs over a 10 Day period thats 1Kg or 2.2lbs a DAY!!!
I was SHOCKED STUNNED and AMUSED YES I know its proberbally water retention and MAYBE ITS MOUNDS AND MOUNDS OF FAT being carved away and disposed of!!!Ha Ha:innocent3:

On our trip to Johannesburg at 1pm I pulled of the road and started preparing my semi prepared Tuna Salad and my Mom and Kids were so impressed asking questions etc my son even said dad u really are committed but its not me I am a person of poor discipline I have proved that many times its the Cohen Diet!I always made time for my meals like our GREAT LEADER SHAHSA adviced me every 5hrs etc and I even after I got tired of shopping with the GIRLS (u all know how LADIES can shop they shop till they drop!Ha Ha) and I sat down in a coffee shop and I had a BLACK filter COFFEE it tasted wonderful and it did the JOB!

Well I also learned something that I think will be interesting for newbies like myself if they ever manage to wade through this waffle but I learned the following:-
1) U HAVE TO PLAN PLAN PLAN and PLAN some more (Even though I planned my meal times I still nearly ran into trouble on the trip back where I nearly ran out of time as shasha has adviced!!)I was very apprehensive when I went on this road trip but after a great trip I am SCARED no more and I am now looking forward to a trip I must make in 8 days with my remaining daughter and I will be away for 11 days and I am not SCARED at all - u know our WAR CRY HERE - U CAN DO IT!!Ha Ha!!
2) Even though I felt full of energy as soon as I put that energy to use(Like running around the shops) one gets pretty tired and then grumpiness sets in so hats off to the lady who is a chef on a boat I think her name is MAYA and MR shaun who trains life gaurds how they use all that energy and are still able to stay on the COHEN DIET they need GREAT APPLAUSE!!{wave}
3) I have been on many diets as explained before but this is the first diet where I felt full and did not crave for anything it must be the balanced meal that we eat but it really helps one keep on the diet! For example I went into supermarkets and stores and a butchery and I saw my kids and Mom eating take aways and other foods and YES I was about to reach out and take some as I have done so many times before but this time I asked myself am I hungry NO! am I craving the item NO!is it good for me NO! and then I realised I don't need it and I can do without it its nothing to do with discipline which is great so the chances of remaining on the DIET is great good news for DIETERS!
4) I felt quite Hyper(Its the only way I can explain it) its not a hunger pang so I tell myself its MY fat burning but it feels weird and I presume that once the Goal weight is achieved and we go on to Refeed and then do Maintenance part of the DIET the feelings or Fat BURNING will come back to NORMAL but suppose in the mean time one must just get use to it!
And the cherry on TOP I went to work and people who have not seen me recently couldn't believe how I looked and the one LADY said "It looks like u have lost 10 Kgs" - I asked her how did she guess and she was suprised and they said "U look GOOD" thats a added extra I did not expect on DIET its JUST a BONUS!Ha Ha!!(Oh sorry I am SOOOOO VAIN!!)

Sorry about the long story hope its not to BORING but just needed to get it out the punishment u all suffer for being DIET buddies and Newbies!!Ha Ha!!

Bronwyn I missed u just as much (Patners in crime Ha Ha!) I missed all ur support and just to put ur mind at rest I am to much of a hairy CAVEMAN to become a Metro Man but suppose there's always hope!Ha Ha!And to our GREAT AND HONOURABLE LEADER u are a shooting STAR in the DARK STARRY SKY and I thank u for ur VERY HELPFUL ADVICE!I will be moving to the support forum to ask u a couple of questions I am not sure of ?

YAY Pumbza!! I am so very proud of you and happy for you!! What amazing progress you have made. I'm so glad to hear from you before I go on my overnighter. I'll be back on tomorrow evening. Thanks for letting us know how you did and I'm so very impressed with your strenght and determination. Yes - planning is KEY to this diet. There is no other way to make it work.

And OH MY GOODNESS!!! 22 pounds!!!???!!! You absolutely ROCK!! Yes, some is probably water weight but there's plenty of fat melting away too. When do your kids visit again? They are going to blow their minds next time they see you 'cause the fat is just going to continue to go away... for GOOD!!

So glad you're back. Have a great day and I'll "see" you tomorrow.

Got a Dreaded Phone Call the Call was a INVITE to watch Rugby at a friends HOUSE rugby is a form of AMERICAN FOOTBALL just a bit more ROBUST (Violent??)!:innocent4:Usually Rugby watching leads to eating meat and starches not on my diet and what I use to life on IN THE BAD OLD DAYS and I was trying to avoid TEMPTATION and OH YES copious amounts of LIQUOR would also be consumed you know the GUYS letting there hair down etc!!Ha Ha!SO I said I am drinking COFFEE and I am eating nothing I have had Breakfast and that is the conditions which was agreed on!One coffee later and we watched the GAME and my side LOST Boo Hoo that would usuallly depress me but not today!!Ha Ha!I learned something new it appears that I have now got a DIET HABIT I live and sleep and work and think DIET so I am thinking THIN and after 10 Days its becoming easier to stay on the DIET but it also doesn't bother me as to what people are eating or doing all around me I am just thinking "I AM LOSING WEIGHT" so as Shasha commented I like the idea of "SMILE U ARE LOSING WEIGHT" my motto from here on in!I also realised during the game I ran to the toilet twice which I have never done before even though I was consuming 3 Litres of water with Juice and it must be the water flushing out the FAT Ha Ha anyway that's how I think of it so as long as I am running ITS JUST COOOL!!I suppose when I stop Running I will be on a PLATEAU no plateaus so far thank GOODNESS!!!
THats enough from me ALL OF U HAVE A GREAT 4th of JULY DREAM of the TURKEY (or have a Toe thats all!) Don't EAT a TURKEY!Ha Ha:innocent3:

Mornin' Pumbza!! Once again... I am so proud of you!!! That is not easy to do, especially the first time or two. Don't you feel so incredibly powerful knowing that you have the ability to say "NO" to bad foods and bad drinks, etc. Also - realizing that you can have a fabulous time without those things was very eye-opening as well. You are doing an amazing job! You ROCK!!

Hi there Mrs Peel , Bitten , Bronwyn,
Thanks for ur kind words and I feel like I ROCK or I am a ROCK!Ha Ha! :innocent4:Its day number 13 and My sister came over with her KIDS to see me an my Mom and my Eldest daughter who is still on holiday Joined us as well with her Sister so it was a house full of kids with a couple of ADULTS Ha Ha!I tried a divine recipe using mince and some diced vegtables and crushed crakers and spices all wrapped in cabbage leaves an baked in the oven it was really MAGIC!My family watched on as I ate earlier than they did and when it came for them to eat the USUAL BIG SUNDAY ROAST with all the Banned Foods I was going to go to my room and let them eat so I would not get to tempted but I landed up sitting with them just chatting to them drinking my litre of water and my diet sprite and I was not SWAYED at all!!As I have said the most amazing think about this whole diet for me is that I don't CRAVE things and now knowing this I can MAKE the RIGHT choices and I am not forced by CRAVINGS to fall OF the DIET WAGON its very uplifting and very REFRESHING because I always thought that my poor discipline was the cause of my over eating and as we know obesity is a DISEASE (More For Me to Remember!) and I have found the medicine!!!Well I am off to have grilled fillet steak and salad its my Favourite food being from AFRICA!Ha Ha! Its just great to know I can go out and visit anybody and I must just set the rules so I don't have to be a HERMIT and see no one I actually look forward to going out now!I must just remember I have come this far and I have still a long way to go I sometimes feel like the proverbial Little Boy who has his finger in a Dike stopping the Dike from leaking and if he pulls his finger out of the Dike the whole DAMM WALL will BURST and the place will be flooded with water!Ha Ha!:innocent3:

{hi} there Pumbza

:bighug: We are all so very proud of you for doing such an excellent {goodjob}

Remember, the big key is going to be to keep those hormones balanced…

If they become unbalanced those old cravings can come back and that’s the point where the dike can burst… and there is just :noway: that you want to go down that road again… You’ve already been there, done that, got the T-Shirt and you already know that it didn’t work to try and lose weight with unbalanced hormones.

Thankfully YOU CONTROL what and when and where you eat, so, focus on always bending whichever way you have to in order to follow your eating plan 100%. It’s going to mean a bit of PIT BULL tenacity… but when you look at your fantastic progress it is all worth it! Besides, this is for a limited time only and now you don’t have 60 kg to lose, only 50 kg and it’s going to be well worth the faces of your children, friends and family when they come home to find half their Dad waiting there for them!

Just checking: in your earlier post you mentioned JUICE – just want to be sure this is diet cola / sprite zero etc… and not fruit juice cos fruit juice is a no-no for now…

pumbza
07-07-2008, 10:54 AM
Ooops sorry Shasha on the JUICE story that was my old habit of drinking water with juice to flavour the water and this was BEFORE DR COHEN DIET not now I only have been drinking Sprite Zero Only and 1 litre a day only and I haven't bothered to go to DIET COKE etc I enjoy sprite to much and it's great to cook with!:innocent4: YEAH BAlanced hormones makes the huge diffrence I just Can't get over the not having the craving I thing thats were my late night snacking came in I don't miss snacking during the day or late night anymore I don't need it anymore!!!Have a Wonderful DAY!:innocent3:

It is day 14 I can't believe it how two weeks have just gone past like that before it was 2nd or 3rd day now its two weeks up!:innocent4:Well today I decided to try a recipe I read and it went as follows a green peeper deseeded (vegetable Allowance) and mince mixed with spices , Balsamic Vinegar and some crushed crackers and stuffed into the green pepper and topped with crushed cracker powder and put into the oven at 180 Degrees C (I don't know the conversion to Farrenhiet?):innocent4:It was fabulous and I loved it I will definitely try find a smaller Green Pepper shell and use some onions in the mince which should make it better! Its great being a wannabe chef Ha Ha!!I must look at recipes so I can add some fish into my diet I haven't master this yet but I have time and it will come?I feel great today I am now offically use to the DIET and making plans for when I go away for 11 Days I am going to miss u DIET BUDDIES badly!!!My sister saw what I was eating and doing on SUNDAY and now has told some friend of her about the DIET and she might even join Goooo DR COHEN DIET!!!HAVE A GREAT DAY AND YES - WE CAN DO IT!!!!:innocent3:

Bye Bye all the DIET BUDDIES will miss u all am off tomorrow will be back on the 23rd July 2008 and then hopefully I will be at the end of week 4 ready to weigh and to do blood work!:innocent4:Tried a very nice recipe with Cabbage leave which is so versitile which I blanched to make it soft and flexible and I then mixed the left over vegtable portion (Onions Tomatoes celery etc) with Tin of Tuna and mixed it up with garlic and herbs and a bit of balsamic vinegar and I placed the mixture into the cabbage and wrapped it all up in a cooking bag and cooked for a half and hour in the oven and Voila it was absolutely great (Hot Or COLD)!I feel great so far have mastered the fat burning phase and the feelings that go with this process just getting a wee bit bored with the limited food but I will have to think of more recipes to make the food a little more exciting!Every time I think of maybe straying I do really realise that its just not worth it I need to get to week 12 and beyond and it is medicinal anyway so must persevere!!!Also the FORUM keeps me MOTIVATED and Busy and I look forward to it daily!I am see the results no when I get dressed for work cloths are becoming lose and I am going to have to start changing close size very soon this will be fun unless I wear my FAT cloths and tie them down with the BELT!!Ha HA!Anyway SMILE WHILE YOU LOSE WEIGHT and you know the war cry "U CAN DO IT!":innocent3:

Bye Pumbza!!! We will miss you very very much. We didn't even like it when you were gone for only a few days. I agree that at times I got VERY bored with the limited types of food we are allowed, but then, like you, I would find new recipes to get me through and now I'm still cooking 1PD foods 'cause I love them so much and am so used to them. Still it is nice have more choices now and you will get there too. Have a great trip and be sure to let us know when you're back home safe and sound!

Hi ALL Diet Buddies,
Jee that was a wild 11 days from the point of view of dieting I think its far better to stay at home than to go galavanting across the country side and to diet at the same time!:innocent4:The problem is not getting the food it is the weighing and the preparation of meals for on the road eating I usually landed up eating Tuna Salad which was handy but one does get rather bored of it!Ha Ha!I also had biltong salad for a change of food but it becomes a bit boring so I look at my food like medicine I must take so much at such and such a time!I even sat in and watched my Mom and daughter eating at a fish restraunt and I did not crave the food and something stange happened everytime they ate fatty foods like fried chicken or chips I thought Uhh how disgusting the joke is I use to eat like that how sick is that!I also watched them eating chocalates and just teased them that its bad for them and they were impressed that I was able to watch and not be tempted!(By the way it was my choice to join them as I realised I would not be tempted!).So far in my 4 weeks I have never eaten at a restraunt I have carried my scale with me to the hotel or to the people I visited etc I have landed up drinking my water in 500ml still mineral bottles making sure i have drank my two litres exactly!I have taken my vitamin in the morning and then at lunch if required but I do't even notice this anymore! My worst part of the 4 week's away is the food was a bit boring but when I was able to bend down and to play with my toes which have lived in the shadow of my stomach for a many years it was very excillerating indeed!I have been praised by all sorts of people who knew me from before with how slimmer I am looking and and how much weight I have lost it was quite pleasing YES I know I am so VAIN".:innocent4:Some people were concerned that I had lost 20Kg in 4 weeks saying losing so much weight so quickly can't be to good for YOU but what they don't realise its a balanced DIET and I really feel great !! I use to break chairs with my wieght but I had to be wary of sitting on plastic chairs etc now I am nearly ready to sit on any chair with out breaking it!!!Ha Ha!

.......While on holiday I played golf one day then skipped a day and played golf with my Mom and my Daughter don't worry I suck at Golf my handicap is Golf (All golfers out there will know what I am speaking about!)Ha Ha!:innocent4:But it did make me tired and one thing I experienced also and that was I was were grumpy and short tempered from time to time I don't know if its my medication or just lack of energy but it wasn't to pleasant and I had to try and curb this!Luckily my Mom and daughter realised I was dieting and it could be the lack of food and I apologised from time to time but they understood thay were quite keen for me to carry on losing weight (Has anyone else experienced the same Grumpiness?).I also saw my Aunt and she had gone on Dr Cohen in South Africa 20 Years ago it was amazing the Diet has not changed very much from those days it was a real eye opener! In those days the cracker and fruit was not optional and they had a apple a day it was quite refreshing to see the old DIET layout and they had to go to lectyres as well!!Ha Ha!:innocent4:Anyway I am back now and my consultant has asked me for a blood test after 4 weeks to check how things are going so I will have to do that in the next couple of days but its so good to be back that for sure and I missed u all like CRAZY I mentioned to my Aunt the support we have on the internet and she was very impressed!I also phoned my other kids and told them my weight loss and they are so excited my son is talking about getting me to excersise and to get my belly like a what he calls a Six Pack (Rock Hard Abs) Ha Ha!I think I am beyond that but at least there is some intrest from his side to make me a better man!!Ha Ha!:innocent3:

One of the things that have bothered me is my GOAl weight I have been told I should weigh 98Kg but I am a guy of 6ft2 and I am heavy boned and at school I weighed 112Kg and I was not overweight!Ha Ha!:innocent4:I aslo have a scale that weighs body fat and I have found out that a average body fat percentage is about 20% (because apparently the body needs some fat to function - Not the amount I had!)Ha Ha!I had a fat percentage of 48% and I am now down to 35.5% so I am hoping by the time I reach 20% body Fat I may get to 110Kg which I thing might be my ideal GOAl weight I thing the 98Kg would be to thin and I have heard some people have pushed diets to far that they look Gaunt and Sickly I want to be a jolly thin chappy rather!Any help from the peanut Gallery (Diet Buddies)!Anyway I feel really GREAT today and I can't wait to finish another 4 weeks but I am still going not be to active in case I run out of energy again!Ha Ha!:innocent3:Anyway I hope you all have a great and marvelous DAY!!!

07-24-2008, 12:15 PM
Wow you have done a marvelous job!! I'm very proud of you for sticking on plan with all that other food around you.

As for the grumpiness...yes I too have had moments of grumpiness. I think this is due to the stress of sometimes doing too much on too little food(with too little rest?). Perhaps the golfing had to do with that. I suggest getting some extra sleep and taking it easy for a while.

As for the goal weight, I sometimes think mine seems a little low too. But I figure once a get a little (ok a lot) closer i will really be able to judge. I suggest trying to not worry about that right now, just keep on loosin' and before you know it you will be a "jolly thin chappy" !

We really missed your fun positive attitude on the forum, SO Glad to have you back!!!! YAY!!

{hi} there Pumbza & Buddies

YOU’RE BACK!!! :party3: YAAAAY!!!

{congrats} on having lost 45.54!! POUNDS:clapping3:

THAT IS FANTASTIC!!!!

Great that you’ve dropped from a size 46 to a 44 in your first month alone!!!

YES, CLEARLY YOUR MEDICATION IS WORKING VERY WELL!!!

Good job on the fish and chocolates…

I’m so thrilled to hear that you can tickle your toes… How wonderful that your tummy is shrinking: YAAAAAAAAAYYYY!!!

Yes, losing 21 kg in one month is SUPER FAST – that is why it is VITAL that you do this 100% and that you MUST do the Re-feeding Program – man, I can’t wait to see your photo’s!!! In this coming month you are still going to shrink even more from last month’s weight loss!!! YYYAAAAAAAAYYY!!!

To combat grumpiness make sure you have regular snacks (fruit and crackers) – these will help to prevent blood sugar from dropping low… and plan some nice relaxing treats to pamper yourself a bit… remember your body is going through MAJOR changes...

It’s so nice to hear that your Aunt did Dr Cohen’s program 20 years ago… clearly Dr Cohen’s Program is a wining formula that needs no changes! YOU ARE THE LIVING PROOF!!!

I’m thrilled to hear how supportive your children are – and your son is right: there’s a six pack in there just waiting to come out!!!

About your goal weight, this little peanut recons you should write to your consultant, tell her about your build ie: muscles, six pack etc… and that you would feel comfortable at 112 kg instead of 98 cos that is were you were in school when you looked great…

I’m very, very proud of you!!!! I’ve run out of little smilies, but here’s a massive BIG HUG for you!!! WAY TO GO!!! Now please keep it up!!!

Oh, what’s your treat going to be? (NOT FOOD!) ???? You've reached your first goal and you deserve something really special!!!

{hi} there Everyone

MMMMmmmm Boys, I’d be careful to touch that cake ~ that is certainly going to be a progress delaying tactic from the ladies!!! {rofl}

{oops} {sorry} but, this reminds me of a 007 song by Carly Simon… see YouTube:

Nobody does it better… makes me feel sad for the rest.
Nobody does it half as good as you… Baby, you’re the best…

Nobody does it better… Sometimes I wish someone would.
Nobody does it quiet the way you do… do you have to be so good?
Enjoy!
Love Shasha

See Pumbza - you ARE a Rock Star!!! I loved reading all of your posts about your time away and am so impressed that you did everything so right so new into the program. I agree that you should wait until you are closer to your goal weight to decide how low to go. I thought 120 was too low for me and I ended the diet at 115 pounds. I was amazed! You may be right but it's really hard to say until you're nearly there. In the meantime, start working on sit ups so that 6-pack will start showing through your new thin frame! Rock stars have to have 6-packs!

Hi Shasha whats PM (Does that stand for private message) if I don't have it I will get it You are afterall OUR LEADER!!!Ha Ha!!!!
Shasha here is a question I know you can answer because you ARE THE GREAT AND WONDERFUL WISE OWL!!!!:innocent4:Becasue we can't or shouldn't excercise I have purchased a while back a power plate thats a vibrating plate that is suppose to shake ones body and the muscles reflex and relax and one while one is standing is suppose to excersise with out much work is this OK to use say 10 to 20 minutes a day it doesn't sound like much excersise and I am sure it will help with the flabby skin around the belly to maybe firm out with out gaining to many muscles!!!Ha Ha!What do you think OH GREAT LEADER!(Sorry if I irretate you with these titles I am just trying to be humerous don't mean to be a PEST!!!Ha Ha!!)Have a Great Day!!!:innocent3:

Shasha
07-31-2008, 09:09 AM
{hi} there Pumbza-Lite

I do believe you can try using your power plate – if your are not prone to low blood pressure ie: feeling dizzy / tired etc.

:weights: Moderate exercises can certainly help, providing you listen to your body and don’t do too much. Rather start off with 5 minutes a day – see how you feel the rest of the day and the following day. Slowly increase the time always seeing how you feel. IF you feel hungry, you’ve done too much, rather cut back a bit… :weights2:

Major aim would be never to over exercise on the program, this leads to tiredness, hunger... and we {noway} don't want that to happen!

Yes, PM stands for private message, in your Profile under your contact info…

08-01-2008, 02:01 PM
{hi} there Pumbza:party8:-Lite

Relax Max… never fear when Shasha is near :comfort:...

I’m sure your blood tests will be fine and if not fine, well then you’ve got to check for any mistakes you may have been making… and try to eliminate those. This is not about scoring brownie points... just about maximizing your progress so yo can do as well as you possibly can...

It’s not like your consultants or Dr Cohen are going to POUNCE on you… it’s merely there for monitoring your progress and, given your weight loss – I don’t think your body could produce more of that fat burning hormone even if it tried!!! :party3:

At the top of the home page, LHS, there is CONTROL PANEL, it opens a window and on the LHS look down until you find: Edit Options select – then look in the middle for Messaging & Notification, scroll down, go to Private Messaging and click on enable private messaging… Also enable: Show New Private Message Notification Pop-up... Then scroll right down and SAVE CHANGES...

Hi Mimi,

You would totally dig rugby guys too. THey dress like soccer players and beat the crap out of eachother (yummy). I assume this is the appeal to men of women's mud wrestling. Ha ha ha!!!! I love the direction this post is going. Mimi I'll never believe you if you try to tell me Romo has nothing to do with your cowboy fondness. I like Romo too, he's all big and manly, not pretty boy like Brady. Brady is too pretty, you know what I mean?

And yes pumbza clearly us ladies are pigs just using the men for their good looks. ;-) Just wait till you reach goal and all the woman are drooling over your six pack.

As for the actual sport of football, I enjoy watching the Seahawks (as I'm from Seattle) but when they loose a lot I like to watch the Cowboys, Packers(although I'm a little bitter about them crushing us last season), and the Patriots. The Steelers are fun to watch(but I hate them for beating the hawks in the Superbowl).

Pumbza- that pigeon had an eye for you! That is too funny, I can't beleive someone came to apologize on behalf of the pigeon! I guess when you pay 60+dollars for 3 hours of entertainment, that's the kind of service you should expect.

Have a wonderful day!! Football season is right around the corner!
