Hi everyone!
Yesterday was my 1st day and I lost 3 lbs (all of which i'm sure was water b/c I started my cycle yesterday as well)
Coincidentally, my birthday is on Saturday (YAY!) :party1:
and instead of waiting until after my bday, i decided to start before hand. The best bday present I can give myself is fitting into my jeans from undergrad. So please pray for me :praying: that I will be able to endure all the festivities this weekend without falling victim to my bad eating habits. :sadeyes:
I am super excited about what I'm going to look like in 2-3 months! :weights2:

Congrats to you Supastargj! And HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!! Tomorrow is my 2nd month and I have noticed changes. In a few months, if you follow the plan as described to you, there should be no problem getting to your goal and fitting into those jeans! :)
Good luck with your journey.

{hi} there Superstargj
A very WARM WELCOME to you! :bighug:
I really admire you for starting right away and without delay! Somethings are just more important than birthday cake!
Being slim and healthy, feeling great, fitting into those new jeans and looking wonderful is worth much, much more!!!
Today, I'd like you to go and find a 'thin' photo of you, preferably one of you wearing those jeans you want to fit into... then, keep it really close by all of tomorrow, because, ultimately you get what you want and, you must want your DREAM more badly than you want that silly birthday cake...
HANG IN THERE, BE STRONG!!! YOU CAN MAKE YOUR BIRTHDAY WISHES COME TRUE BUT YOU MUST DO WHAT IS RIGHT and that is eat healthy FOR YOU!!! {cheerleader}
Wishing you a stunning Birthday and a fabulous thin year ahead!!! {wave}

Superstargj- I hope your birthday went well. (My birthday was also on Saturday.) I agree that this is the best gift that you can give yourself. On Saturday, my daughter asked where my birthday cake was. I told her I couldn't have one. She told me not to worry that she would make one for me and even eat it for me too. So we spend the afternoon making it and she had a big piece just for me....Isn't she so supportive? But think next year on our birthday, we will be skinny beautiful, and healthy women. Good luck on your journey.

Hey! My birthday was last week too (on Wednesday)! I was really tempted to cheat, especially since I had to go to Starbucks and they have a new drink. I will refrain from describing it here. :innocent4: But I didn't - I was good all day!
My husband sent me a flower bouquet shaped like a cake. I thought that was really sweet (no pun intended). He'd been very supportive and is very proud of me.

Hi everyone!
Thanks for the birthday wishes! I had an absolute blast. I live in Ohio and believe it or not, we have an island right off of Lake Erie. Few non-Ohioans believe me, but trust me, I'm not lying. It's really beautiful -- very resort-like. And I've been wanting to go for years but never have until early Friday morning when my boyfriend suprised me with a trip there for the weekend. Whoohoo! So eating was a little bit of a problem, because I didn't have a scale, but I ate pretty well. Baked chicken and veggies, talapia, etc. I did better than I thought I would and when I got home, i weighed myself and had lost a pound, which really isn't anything, but it was everything to me b/c I thought for sure I had lost nothing. I must admit though, I did pretty bad my 1st day back to work today, where my co-workers had a little party for me consisting of cherry cobbler...and yes I ate it. :sadeyes: As soon as i ate it, I felt so guilty and got a headache. :( so now I'm kinda sorta worried that my week is shot, but I"m going to get back on track the rest of the day and the rest of the week. I feel so awful now. UGH!

Hello, I just have been viewing all the communication and feeling so proud of you all that I have been following! :applause:The staying on course (or if straying, getting right back!) and looking at all those numbers going down on those tickers!!!! (ecspecially yours Mary since you are my blood sis) I guess it has been a while since I've replied and just have noticed the movement! Keep it up!!! Happy Birthday belated birthday to the birthday Cohenites {bdaycake}and don't worry...losing all this weight makes it so in the future we are here and healthy to have a good - choice - treat after the diet! {grouphug1} momof4

Supastargj- We share the same birthday and the same state. I live in Cincinnati. I am glad to hear that you had a wonderful birthday weekend.... for the cherry cobbler... let it go... It's just a little hiccup and it won't ruin the week unless you let it. Go back to following your plan 100% and focus on that goal. Hang in there.

{hi} there Everyone
Supastargj: I agree 100% with AmyLynn ~ it’s time to put the past behind and to MOVE ON… :nerd: PAST all the non-diet goodies to the place where you can get the maximum results possible, the place where you can only go once you follow your eating plan 100%...
Our Dear AmyLynn: Sorry it’s a bit late, but my Birthday wish for you is that you will become EVERYTHING AND MORE that your heart desires very, very soon ie: SKINNY!!! BEAUTIFUL!!! and HEALTHY too!!! :love7:
Finally Free: Well done on putting on those walking boots and marching straight past those temptations: your rewards are on their way!!! {cheerleader}

Thanks everyone for the support! I haev lost 8 lbs so far...it took me a little bit to get the hang of it all. I have a boyfriend that eats Taco Hell and Burger Crap King for every meal. Also, my boss has a big pretty bowl of chocolate and candy she refills every week...so it's been pretty hard, but I've been maintaining and sticking to it. A big part of it for me is self-control. If I see it sitting there, I'm gonna eat it. But I have been doing really good with that. Oh, and portion control...that's another issue for me. But that's been so far so good too. I tend to go out a lot or be in environments where lots of (bad) food is around. (i.e. the bf and I are going to a dinner/comedy show tonight and this weekend I'm going to visit my parents = diet nightmare!) But I'm proud and I feel great. I have a lot more pep in my step and I feel super hot and quite sexy. I even bought myself some new undie sets from Fredericks of Hollywood, and i intend to do so everytime I lose 5 lbs. I know some ppl wait for 10 lbs before a reward, but I need faster motivation than that. lol

Hi Supastargj! So glad to hear you're on track and that you're finding what works for you. I will tell you from experience that each time you say "no" to something naughty it empowers you and it does get easier over time. The fact that you shrink and just look better and better helps a TON!!! Keep in mind this diet is not forever, but the way it makes you change your thoughts and actions about food will last a lifetime (I hope)! Here at the end of my journey, I know I will continue to be far more picky about all the food I put in my body and I can't imagine going back to any of my old eating habits. Good for you for making your rewards!! You're earning every single one!

Heya fellow Ohioans! Must be something Cohen-like in the water because I too am from Ohio, in Mansfield. I'll have to go check out those islands one day as I've lived here all my life and never been there either!
I am officially on re-feed, and its my fourth day! Its going great and weight is stable, even down a 1/2 pound since starting it. I'm pleased as punch.
Hang in there ladies!
