Hey, everyone.

I've been working out about 3-4 times a week (30-45 minutes on the treadmill, squats, lunges, some light weightlifting). I've noticed after working out (usually on the treadmill), that the scale goes up. It usually comes back down after a day or two. But, I was wondering what makes this happen? Is it some sort of lactic acid build up? I was just curious and wondering if anyone knew why this happens! {boing}

{hi} there Poetically-Yours

I'm not quiet sure what causes this strange phenomenon... I think it's a combination of water retention and maybe building or gaining muscles which weighs heavier than fat. In the second case you should end up losing inches and having your clothes sitting loser.

What I can tell you for sure is that lots of Diet Buddies experience this - just look at GettinSkinny who went on a hike - eating 100% right, but she experienced a slower weight loss than normal at her next weigh in... this can be quiet de-motivating as it tends to be the exact opposite than what you would normally expect. So, :weights: careful with them exercises, doing too much can leave you feeling drained, tired and hungry and we don't want that to happen... :weights:
