Hey there, fellow 1PDers! I'm so glad to be here and be conquering my excess fat with all of you.

A little about me: 33, female, 5'7", overweight since puberty, sick of it. I just got my plan yesterday and my official start date is 30 May, so I'll be hanging around and prepping for the Plan until then. I'll do the ticker thing once I know my weight on my start date. 19 May I started this process weighing 267lbs and I'll weigh less by this Friday simply preparing my mind and body for the Plan. Cohen has my goal between 130 and 140, and I honestly don't know what it feels like to weigh that little, so I'll have to adjust my goal as I get closer to it. Not that I don't have plenty of time to figure it out :)

I've been lurking around and just wanted to add that I'm honored to be part of such a determined and supportive group of people. I'm so grateful to have found this program.

Welcome Macreso! Glad to have you here! You'll do great. I'm one of those "if I can do it, anyone can" people.

Make sure you have all your Cohen-friendly food on hand for your start date. The night before I started I ate a chocolate bar r-e-a-l-l-y slowly and savored it!

Good luck and let us know how you're doing!

Macresco, you are not going to believe how good you are going to feel!!! The weight you lose at first won't make the biggest difference, but as you gain momentum, you will realize your feet, knees, back, shoulders, everything, feels better. It really hit home for me the day I sat on the floor cross-legged, indian-style, without even thinking about it.

Looking forward to your progress!!

Welcome! You sound so excited and you should be! This diet is awesome for life changes! I too am about the same in goal and start weight, and it is amazing how the inches just shrink and fat melt off! I am glad you found this diet and look forward to hearing about your journey. I know you will reach that goal! Momof4

WELCOME! You sound like you are ready to start! Along with getting all your food and reading the guidelines four and five times, take the time to get a support system in place. My husband and kids are mine. They watched everything I put in my mouth and are my cheerleaders....and when I need someone who knows the pains and aches of this diet, I call on my girls and guys in the forum. Good Luck to you.

{hi} there Macresco

A very WARM WELCOME TO YOU! {bighug}

We look forward to watching your journey and to your becoming slim, healthy and well again!

Yes, the first few days are the hardest, but if you just hang in there, in a couple of weeks from now you should look and feel totally different and by the time you're done, you'll probably be needing an old photo cos old friends won't recognize the new you that you will become!!! So remember to take your 'before' photo...{cheerleader}

Welcome Macresco!! Yes - this is the best diet ever! Re: your goal weight, when I got mine I couldn't imagine getting down to that point. I haven't weighed this little since I was about 22 years old (I'm about to turn 37). You'll be so amazed at how well this works. We'll look forward to hearing about your progress and helping you through the thick and thin (ha ha) of this diet!

Thanks so much for the warm welcome! With all the great things people have to say about the Plan, I can't wait to get started. I'm all geared up...got my digital scales, chucked all non-plan food and condiments, planned my meals for the first three days and went shopping. I've been pretty good for the past few days preparing my body for the Plan - I'm basically only eating Cohen foods, just not measuring yet and mixing proteins like I know I wont be able to come Friday. In addition, I've been working out in my head the reasons why past diets haven't worked for me adn why I'm overweight in the first place -- well, I've been thinking about that one for months!! I've made a couple breakthroughs and I finally think I know myself well enough NOT sabotage myself by going off plan.

This morning I woke up and the first thing that popped into my head (aside from "Alarm? Already?" of course) was "OMG, I'm in the RIGHT PLACE at the RIGHT TIME!"

Phew, finally! :)

Two more days until official start!!!

Welcome Macresco!

It sounds like you're doing all of the right things to get yourself ready. Much better than my plan of eating everything in sight until my diet plan arrived.{lol}

Day 1 is here! And I'm pleased to say that just by eating on-plan food for the last 5 days (but not weighing it), I've lost 4 pounds. So instead of my official starting weight being 267, it's 263.0. Yippee!!
