how many average size apricots are one serving, or how many grams? They are finally in the stores!
Thanks

{hi} there Hickory
Dr Cohen 's says to have one medium size fruit for each portion that you are allowed unless he has given a specified weight portion like kiwi or melon. I therefore believe that 1 apricot = 1 fruit portion.
You'll probably be cutting your apricot into 1/4's and savoring every single bite :hungry:

Hi All
I am in my first month. finally located apricots but they are tiny. I just located this thread from 2008. Will anyone answer. Sasha says to cut in 1/4. Huh? I guess you can cut anything these are nibletts and I just had to have them. any ideas on grams when the fruit is tiny. I emailed my consultant but since this is friday, I don't expect to hear until Monday. thanks for any input. Have a peaceful journey:praying:
Hi,
I asked my consultant a similar question recently (since apricots are in season :)). The consultant said that the size of the apricot does not matter. Whether they are tiny or huge, the serving is one apricot. I emailed to clarify regarding tiny ones and the consultant said that Dr. Cohen instructs to still eat one since tiny apricots have the same amount of sugar as larger ones. This does not make sense to me completely - intuitively I think that if the fruit tastes as sweet (regardless of size), that would mean it has the same amount of sugar per oz/gr. Thus, smaller apricots would have less sugar. But I am doing what the consultant said anyways. :)
