Hi angel_eyes1948, welcome aboard!!! Congratulations on your first week of weight loss - that's awesome! :applause: Keep up the great work. The first week or so was tough for me but everyone on here was such a big help and a great source of inspiration to just stick to the plan.

And Mrs. Peel, if you're reading this, THANK YOU for the tip on the jalapeno peppers! I now have one small jalapeno (seeds and all) every morning with my scrambled eggs and it totally gives it the kick that I need. PLUS it forces me to drink more water - which I really need to work on (I'm not always getting my 64oz per day). But I LOVE the jalapeno idea --- I just never had cooked with them before! THANK YOU!!

Shawn, I did read your message and I am so pleased that your jalapeño helps! MrPeel and I love our spicy stuff, so we rely on the allowed "zings" to keep us going.
You might also like our new fave: ground turkey or ground buffalo mixed with diced mild green chilies and pan-fried as a burger - nice & yummy!

Hi Everyone, thanks for the warm welcome. Sorry it,s taken me so long to respond, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to use the forum. And how do I get the ticker tape on my page and how do I get back to my page ever time ? Or do I just start over every time?

On the main Forum page, second topic from the top is "1st Personal Diet Tickers" - click on that and it will take you to the window where you can design your ticker and select a PIN for it. Once you've made your choices and saved them, you will be given the option of copying a link in HTML or BB code. Copy the BB code and then go to your Control Panel page. Select "Edit Signature" at the top left, and when the window appears, paste the BB code for your ticker into the box. Preview your signature to see that it works. From then on, when you update your ticker on the original link, the changes will automatically show up in your posts.

Easy!

Thanks, Shasha! We actually had it tonight with ground turkey - and usually I mix the diced chilis throughout the meat, but tonight I tried dividing each meat portion in half, flattening the two pieces and covering one with the diced chilis - then put it together like a sandwich and pan fried it. Chili-stuffed turkey burgers!!

Mrs Peel - I'm SOOOOOO going to try the chili burger idea! I haven't tried any ground meat recipes yet but this one I think I'll have to try .... A little garlic, crushed crackers for consistency, some parsley, the meat and peppers --- it does sound yummy!

MrPeel especially likes the ground turkey stuffed with diced green chilies!

And look at you, Shawn! You're almost done - and I bet you feel great! Congrats on the successful weight loss :flirt:
