View Full Version : Help to Keep From Deviating on meal times

Okay for some reason I simply got involved in what I was doing and FORGOT to eat, this is not usual for me and I don't want to deviate as I already had a minor deviation this week, ugh.

So I ate meal 2 finished it at around 5pm. I read in the FAQs that someone else had done this but she ate at 4:15. So I actually have 3 questions.

1. When we time the five hours do we wait until we are done eating to start the 5 hour timer or do we do it at the beginning of the meal. My new customer guide says to wait at least 5 hours and that to me means we can go more than 5 but not less. So I am assuming if I finish eating at 5:15 I count 5 hours from that time. Correct?

2. Since my five hours won't be up until 10:15 should I eat at 10:15 or sooner than that or just have fruit and crackers and call it a night?

3. How many hours do we have to wait after eating to go to bed? Sometimes I have a weird schedule and don't get my last meal in until 8:30.

Thank you to anyone and everyone who reads this question. I hope I haven't posted this in the wrong place, but I feel like I need support and hope someone is monitoring who can help!

Hi Katra,

Here is my understanding of the rules in order of your questions:

1.) Yes, you time the five hours from the time you FINISH you meal. So your example above of waiting until 10:15pm to eat if your last meal was at 5:15pm is correct.

2.) Since you ate so late you will be eating your dinner late and in my opinion you have two choices: If you're going to be up really late (past midnight) go ahead and eat your last meal at 10:15pm as I understand you should have at least two hours between your last meal and your bedtime. OR you can eat a bit sooner than the five hours since you messed up your timing today, but that is a small variation to the plan.

3.) I answered above. It is my understanding to try to eat before 9pm and definitely at least two hours before going to bed.

NEVER SKIP A MEAL!! Bottom line is that you really need to try hard not to forget to eat. I know it is hard when you are really busy and I've had a couple of days of waiting too long too and then having to eat dinner so late. It may happen from time to time, but please try to make sure it's not a regular occurence in your schedule.

Hope that helps and hope I'm right...

Thanks so much for taking the time to respond! I haven't decided if I will wait until 10:15 it seems so late, maybe I will do 9:15. I don't usually do this. I was totally NOT hungry. It's so weird and I was cleaning and all of a sudden it was 4pm. I thought it was 2pm. Must be a time void in my kitchen!

Anyway thanks for the marvelous advice. I will be sure not to do this again!

{hi} there Katra

Bronwyn is 100% correct in her advise :applause: & {goodjob} Bronwyn!

I agree 100%, you should never skip a meal because if you do, your body will react by storing your food as fat and there is no way that we want that!

EXTRA TIP:  Maybe try setting your cellphone as a reminder to eat lunch on time so that you can achieve the best results you possibly can.

I did take Brownyn's advice and just ate a little earlier. In future on the weekends I will set my cell phone, weekdays are no problem!

Thanks for you help!

Have a Happy Day!:party5:
