View Full Version : Cooked versus raw
I do have a serious question now.
I don't understand many things here, getting so many confrontational answers, but this one I simply have to get clear and I wish someone would get an answer directly from dr.Cohen.
Can we weigh shrimp cooked?
I got so many different answers that it is getting a little ridicilous. I am in position where I dont have much protein to chose from and that shouldn't even be the issue actually, I think we simply deserve a little more precize answers.
One time consultants say MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS 100% TO A GRAM PRECIZE, then they say fruit can be from 150-200g, someone NOT MORE than 180g... First they say Metamucil not, then yes, I mean, come on?!?!
So, at least I would like to know this - can I have my already cooked shrimp as a regular, non deviating meal or not?
THANK YOU.

Maya,
I think you should go with what your consultant says. I would even express your frustration about all the different answers, and hopefully that will trigger a little more research into the answer thaty provide for you.

Hi Maya,
I agree with Ifulwood, you should ask your consultant and go with their response. As much as everyone here tries to be helpful, even if they're giving you answers given to them by consultants, it is just heresay or what they think is correct. Maybe they misunderstood the answer from the consultants. Either way, the consultants are highly trained to answer our questions and are also able to ask Dr. Cohen directly (I assume - see?) These forums are awesome for support, but sometimes I think it opens a can of worms when everyone starts giving their opinions of what they think is correct. Personally, I think you can weigh your shrimp cooked and I have done that myself. So much of it is readily available cooked. But again, I am not a consultant so I do not know for sure.
Thanks Ifulwood and Bronwyn... I know I sound grumpy, but it is really getting frustrating. I really like to listen to Shasha, she knows so much and there's another forum where I get a lot of useful information, but I am NOT listening to them if I am not sure and checked it by my consultant. The things is just, that my consultants answer are so weird, sometimes even confrontational? Now they are saying I CAN have the shrimps as a normal meal, even if I weigh shrimp cooked. But see, maybe they said that just cause I made such a huge deal about that time and ...I don't know... It just would be nice to have some clean answers, thats all.
I appreciate your help BIG TIME, really, thank you thank you thank you. You are helping all of us so much!!!!
I think I'm just a little tired of this food and hoping to see some results soon (have been on a platue for few weeks now..).
Thank you so much for understanding and not judging me when I'm desperate and down... !!!!

We're not here to judge my dear and we understand whole-heartedly how frustrating certain aspects of this diet can be. Do take comfort in the fact that it does, indeed work, though. I do think your travel is having a lot to do with your plateau and I think as your body evens out with the travel issues that you'll find you've lost some more pounds or kilograms or whatever... I love your tenacity and your boldness. Those who do not question authority will never breakdown barriers that are meant to be broken. Don't accept anything less than what is acceptable to you and if they push back it's just 'cause your making them work hard.

Can you please do something about this spammer, LRKSFAG? I worry that someone will click on the link, which may be a big problem.
Thanks!
