Hi,
I was wondering if any of you ladies have had any experience with thinning hair before the diet and getting it to grow back thicker when your hormones were corrected with the diet? My hair was thinning before the diet, but it was due to being hypothyroid. I have been on the diet now for almost 7 weeks. I am still seeing the same amount of hair coming out as if I wasnt even on the diet. I do take thyroid medicine. How long does it take to be on the diet in order for your hormones to be completely healed? Just curious.... Is there any supplement I could take to help with growing my hair back? I take thyroid meds and a multivitamin. TIA.

{hi} there Kristy

For hair loss I would recommend that you consult your personal doctor as there can be many causes for this and treatments could vary. The hormones that the 1st Personal Diet Program stabilizes is human growth hormone (your fat burning hormone), insulin (your fat storing hormone) and serotonin (which controls the craving for food, especially starch) ~ the result of these hormones coming into a balance will be weight loss, health and wellbeing.

It takes about a week for the above hormones to come into a balance.

Yes, there may be added benefits of different sorts for different dieters but Dr Cohen does not promote a healthy head of hair through the program. The program may have little or no effect on some of the other hormones that work in your body ~ these should be seen to by your personal doctor.
