I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ANGRY!!!!!!
I have been sooo good the whole trip from Europe to STates, gone through hell but still managed to have my meals and not deviated at all, completely 100% .... then I woke up right now and realized for the last 3 meals I weighed COOKED shrimp my friend bought for me *they were frozen*, instead of RAW... That means I had double protein for 3 meals....

Oh God I am sooooo pissed, dissapointed, angry!!! I have been trying so f...king hard, and this happens????

:crying:

WHAT TO DO NOW??????

HELP, SOMEBODY, PLEASE!!!?!?! HOW MUCH DAMAGE HAVE I DONE??????!!!!!! {scream}

I AM GONNA EAT MYSELF FROM ANGER.,...

Bitten is right Maya. Besides in my opinion there are different levels of deviations and that was the best. Better to eat more protein than a bunch of sugary stuff.

Oh Dear Maya - you are absolutely fine!! First of all, weighing cooked doesn't mean you had DOUBLE the protein. Especially something like a shrimp isn't going to shrink up that much when it's cooked. Plus, this might be a situation where it's okay, like weighing your COOKED tuna from the can. Shasha? Any advice for our Maya?

I think you're doing an amazing job staying 100% while travelling such a great distance. You also are expending a LOT more energy since you are traveling so I'm sure you're burning a few more calories too. Buck up little camper. You're still on the road to success.

So you are here? Where are you in the US?

You are sooo nice, thank you all :party1: !!!!
Bronwyn, this was my thought EXACTLY!!!! I just thought of that - how come we are allowed to have canned tuna if its precooked???? THen it is also not the same as raw tuna:thinking:???

You so smart!!! I needed a whole day to come up with that...

I am much better yes, thank You, I realized shrimps actually helped me in a way... cuz I was just too obsessed with my perfectionism... gotta losen up a little... I mean, I FINALLY with my age accepted that I am also human and allowed to make mistakes... :hypnotic:

I'm on a small island in the Bahamas, just got here, with all the food and now on the boat making it ready for people to come. It's gonna be a challenge cooking for others while staying on the diet, but I am ready and commited.

{hi} there Missy Maya

Bitten and Bronwyn are 100% right, this is NOT a train smash, only a little speed bump. Having a bit more or a bit less protein like you did with the shrimps is not 100% ideal, but it certainly WILL NOT TRIGGER TOO MUCH INSULIN... So, it's not going to set you back a week like other deviations could.

Just smile, put both your arms in front of your chest, now cross them over and stretch left hand to right shoulder and right hand to left shoulder take a deep breath, sigh and then give yourself a :bighug: from me!

thank you girls....:party1:
Sorry I havent been on internet for a week, I'm on the boat now, we just came back to marina, so I have internet...
I'm trying to catch up on everything...

I've been doing ok so far... though cooking for 14 people with all the deserts, home made ice cream..isn't easy, plus all the swimming and my meals...
I am ok...though getting more and more confused about this diet, to be honest...:eyebrow:

My consultant said I can weight cooked shrimps and have them without a problem as a meal, but now I feel you think it actually was too much, it is said that shrimps from a can are ok, so why not these shrimps... I hear I should relax more, but then other consultants say it should be 135g and not even 136g...then again few more grams wont kill you...!?!?!

I mean, seriously... at one moment I'm out of my mind because I thought I had around 50% too much protein, then suddenly my consultant says, no it's ok, fish can be weigh raw or cooked... !?!?! then I hear others say - well, you could have needed that extra protein, so was it extra or was it part of program?
People deviating because of wrong mouthwash, too many spices, not enough water... but then again, if you're hungry have 5 more crackers...
again, yogurt can be either 175 grams or 175 ml - which is never the same...
then, I premeasured yogurt because when I'm on the sea, the digital scale doesnt work...well, when I remeasured yogurt - I had to pour the water out and realized it took weight away, so what now? drink that water from yogurt or throw it away and remeasure it?

I have sticked on the program the whole time, except one time I might have been few grams up or down, because I only had frozen chicken and measured it as frozen, but when it defrosted I realized it lost water, so I added some chicken...the scale was a little crazy on the sea...but that's all... which is pretty good for being in situation I'm in...

Well, I feel ok, just tired and far from "feeling happy after meals?" and I am working a lot...

Weightloss - I think it's been stable for last weeks, have no idea why. Have been drinking A LOT of water, eating the right things...but the weight is just the same - clothes, the same... will weigh myself tomorrow and see if I lost anything at all...

Nothing spectacular to report...just wanted to pop in and see how you guys are doing...

hello dear maya-

i love to hear from you, but you know that!!!
i am so, so curious about everything you wrote. i want to know why this so, so strict program has all these unseen loopholes at times...we get different answers from here and the OZ forum or the internet program vs. the clinics around the world....
i am hoping that we can just succeed ASAP!
big hugs to you bahama maya-

Hi Maya dear!! So good to hear from you as I've been wondering how you're doing. Quite an exciting life you're leading right now it seems. The travel...the intrigue... You know, when I travel (air flights, etc.) I always feel a little bloated for the trip so I'm wondering if you're experiencing anything like that. It's like my body has to adjust to the climate I'm in or something. Anyway, keep that in mind if/when you weigh in. Sounds like you're doing a great job sticking to plan. The bottom line is that we pretty much know what is right and listen to our bodies. Clearly you aren't messing up or you would start gaining. Hang in there darling and let us know how your weigh in goes.

Hi Maya,

First let's talk about the amazing success you've had. You are traveling ON A BOAT, and you have to cook food for tons of other people INCLUDING CAKE!! and you are staying on plan. WOW, you are seriously awesome! That is no easy feat. And you have lost a lot of weight already! Don't forget all that! You have done a great job and pushed past some REALLY difficult situations.

That being said, I am only 4 weeks in to 1PD so I'm no expert. But, my mom just finished refeeding and she warned me not worry if I hit a plateau for a couple weeks. She said that she would hit a plateau right before a big loss. She suspected that her body was holding onto a bunch of water while processing the fat she was burning. So hang in there, perhaps next week will bring your much deserved results!

Keep us posted, when you come into port. I am looking forward to hearing all about your adventures!:)

Hi, girls, soooo nice to read you!!!!

Bitten - my girl, you tooooooooo sweet!!! I really hope to meet you some day?

Bronwyn, if I could, I would call you and simply talk to you - you are doing such an amazing job here... thank you for all the support, your comments and ideas...really, thank you!
Yes, you are right! Same here - when I travel, I get some water retention... that's why I didnt measure myself or weigh myself since I left Europe. I even decided not to do it tomorrow, maybe on Sunday (still eager to change the ticker!!!!)... The sun and salt water does same thing sometimes. I see women get swollen ankels here a lot!

And when we're just talking about plateaus - SurferGirl - I agree with your mom and wanna paint her words golden - I'm still hoping for that BIG drop - to be honest...the only thing is - my drop should be huge- as my weight is very stable for at least 3 weeks now, I think... I did pee sooo much few nights and I had NO idea where would I be holding all that - went to bed, didnt drink much before...then had to go pee 3 times sooo much????.... now it-s better... but we will see. I will not overstress now.
I'm dealing with that too much when I'm hungry, already.

Thank you for nice words - and yes, I am cooking all this food, but its kind of ok - trying to turn it into the way - I am treating other people and dealing with food at least that way, so when the big temptations of smelling food is reached, I feel like nothing can trigger me anymore...

And yes, I'm getting used to the whole thing on the boat, too... I guess you love ocean if you like to surf?
You too get weird feeling being too long on land:)?

Hi Maya,

Wow, from that story it sounds like your body is probably hanging on to a bunch of water! I hope you are able to see some results soon. I'm sure it's frustrating but we know the diet works. Just keep doing what you are doing!

Your thought about having so much temptation and NOT succumbing to it was really great. And I believe you are right, it will definitely give you a lot more strength than if you avoided being around all that stuff(I mean {bdaycake}, ya I have a real sweet tooth:innocent4:) completely (like me, I'm afraid to see cake:eek:). This experience will make you so much stronger. I completely admire you for stickin to it!

As far as water goes, my real nickname is Water Rat but that's just not as cute as surfer girl so I changed it! Unfortunately, I have to work:crying:so I can only hit the water on the weekends. Before the diet my surfing motivation was so low because I am carrying around so much extra weight. Now that I'm heading in the right direction I'm pretty "stoked" again. It's fantastic to feel the old me coming back!

It's so great to hear from you Maya, you really inspire me!

Maya dear I love "talking" to you too. I've added you to my lbuddy list so if you ever need/want to private message me there you can. I think you're doing an amazing job, especially with the challenges you have faced with your hormones (they were really out of whack to begin with, right?) and your school vs. work and travel, etc. You are also doing an amazing job here and you'll get to your goal.

SurferGirl - I haven't had the chance to welcome you yet as I haven't been posting nearly as much. Welcome to the diet and to the boards. I'll look forward to watching your progress too. You sound so positive and inspired and you are off to a great start. Best of luck on your journey and we're here for you!

Thanks Bronwyn...
I have never done that personal messaging, gotta see how it goes...am on the boat here, when we're in marina, I can be online, when out to sea, no internet for me...

I love my life and yes, thank God its adventorous...but it also brings new challenges... We're on the island where there are no stores...so the captain goes once a week to States to get food... I ordered him and had a special talk with him about my needs...well, this is what he brough today

full fat vanilla yogurt
2 tiny peppers
he forgot meat
he forgot spring onions
tiny bag of baby spinach (half dead)

... so I gotta survive the next week:praying:...

see now why I'm so grumpy when I dont even get the clear directions?

I do have a feeling that my weighing tomorrow might make me smile... I feel a little loss has happened since the last time I weighed myself...
Will let myself surprise (I hate weighing) and let you know!!!!

SurferGirl ---

So true! I KNEW I could not make it 1 week much less 12 if I was going to have to touch raw protein every day - so I did a test. Shrimp only cooks down 24%!
