Okay, gals (and possibly guys??), I typically don't shave my legs in the winter time... I know, I know, how awful... but my husband doesn't seem to mind and I don't wear dresses, so what's the point? So anyways, I started shaving my legs again in the past couple of weeks because the weather has warmed here and I can wear shorts again. Now, normally, my hair is so course and grows so fast that by the third day (in other words, every other day), the little pricklies are back and it's time to shave, AGAIN!! Well, I shaved on a Saturday... wasn't wearing shorts again until that following Friday and when I went into the bathroom to shave, felt of my legs and was like --- WHOAAAAA, WHAT????? WHAT IS GOING ON?????? IT CAN'T BE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My legs only felt as prickly as they usually do on the third day -- but this was six days later!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! W-O-W!!!!! I couldn't believe it. Now, I know that women's hair usually begins thinning as they age, but I'm only 43 and I don't think that is the cause. So, I have to believe that it is this diet --- correcting my hormonal imbalance --- and possibly balancing my testosterone too --- and diminishing the ole hair ******* production levels. Has anyone else experienced this????? I am on :cloud9:.

could be the hormones, but folks on VLCD also sometimes lose their hair or hair growth is retarded as on few calories your body goes into a mode that concentrates on vital organs, etc. that is why we sleep great!!!! but also why we are a bit weak.
i do not mind less hair !!!!!

{hi} there GettinSkinny
Now that is REALLY interesting! :party1: Never heard of this before. Maybe the hair growth slowed down a bit due to not shaving as often and it will speed up again with regular shaving? In any case, please keep us posted on the hairy details {rofl}

Good point, Shasha, however, this has been my routine most of my life -- only shaving in the warmer months. I cannot recall the growth ever being slower/faster based on the number of times I had shaved. I just always figured that I had higher than normal testosterone levels. :flirt: I took most of my genes from my father's side of the family and just decided that was why my hair was always darker and more abundant than other women. :thinking: We even have a couple of moustache-clad women in our family. :hypnotic:
I shaved my legs Monday morning and this is Wednesday afternoon. Just felt of them and once again, almost no stubble. Nothing like it normally is by now. I can't explain it, but I am loving it!!!!!!!!!
Maybe in all the years he has been involved with all of his patients, Dr. Cohen may have heard this, or may have an explanation. It would be interesting to hear....
