She started in April (such as I) and she was at her goal weight by Nov. She told me she had a couple of episodes of stearing off the path, so that is why it took a little longer.

I do have a question. How to add a ticker to my information?

Welcome Determined!
I posted a photo of my first meal not too long ago ... I just finished my first week on the program, so I'm still a newbie myself.
Anwyay, if you click on the 1st Personal Diet Forum link in the section below the main menu bar (Control Panel - Quick LInks - New Posts etc) you'll see the Rules and then below that a link to a ticker bar.
Good luck getting through the first few days! Those were the hardest for me so far - but if you stick to the program it will be worth it! I'm down 12 pounds in 9 days! I'm totally thrilled! Everyone here is great support too - so come back and visit as much as you'd like, I seem to be here a lot lately. :)

Hey! I'm new here, too! I'm finishing up my third week officially, but I've technically been following my plan a little bit longer than that. Already I feel so much better and I know this diet really works wonders. I, too, witnessed a friend's transformation thanks to the 1PD. She positively radiates happiness, and I knew I had to try this out. Seeing the results of other people is such a great motivation, isn't it? Well, I hope this goes well for you! The first few weeks are tough but it gets better, don't worry! Have fun!

On the main Forum page, second topic from the top is "1st Personal Diet Tickers" - click on that and it will take you to the window where you can design your ticker and select a PIN for it. Once you've made your choices and saved them, you will be given the option of copying a link in HTML or BB code. Copy the BB code and then go to your Control Panel page. Select "Edit Signature" at the top left, and when the window appears, paste the BB code for your ticker into the box. Preview your signature to see that it works. From then on, when you update your ticker on the original link, the changes will automatically show up in your posts.
Easy!

I have fixed my ticker. I have not reached my goal yet, but I will that is for sure.
So, I am determined to not check my weight until the 4th week. Is this best practice or does anyone think it is good to check for motivational purposes earlier?

{hi} there Determined
A VERY WARM WELCOME TO YOU!!! :bighug:
Nice job with the ticker... (Thanks Shawn & Mrs Peel for helping)
When I saw your ticker I started singing a song: "Those shoes were made for walking and that's just what they'll do... one of these days those shoes will reach their goal weight!" :party1:
Dr Cohen recommends to weigh only once in 4 weeks... for many people doing just that and waiting for the 4 weeks is the best motivation ever!
Weighing too often can cause you to expect too much or to be disappointed if the scale doesn't move - both of these are an unnecessary distraction...
Wishing you much success: YOUR JOURNEY HAS BEGAN!!! YAAAAY! {cheerleader}

Thanks Sasha. I think that will be the most difficult of all things is staying away from the scale for 4wks. Especially since I have been so use to checking weekly.
I agree with the song that is why I picked the shoes. LOL

Hey Determined,
Welcome to the program! I think it's great that you have a friend who was so successful on the program. I'm in the same boat and it has definitely helped to keep me on track when I'm having a hard day.
Wishing you the best of luck!
Welcome aboard, Determined!!!!

{hi} there Determined
I recommend that you ask someone to put your scale in a safe keeping place for now...
During and after the Re-feeding Program you can weigh yourself again every day for the rest of your life... For now, it's official 'scale holiday time' {wave}
Remember to drink all your water {cheerleader} wishing you much success!
