My first 2 weeks are up, and in the first week I lost 4.5 pounds and the second week I lost 3 pounds.
I checked the food log that I am keeping and I spotted some mistakes I was making in the second week that may have accounted for the smaller loss. Of course I understand about the plateaus too.
This week I am trying hard to eliminate all the wrong things I was doing and will see how that changes.
In all, I'm pretty happy with this plan ... it beats anything else I've ever tried!

Welcome hybrid222, glad to have you in our group. And you are absolutely right, it DOES beat anything else we've ever tried!!! I have tried alot of diets over the years and this is the first one where I have been able to continue losing weight after the first month of dieting. It's great that you are keeping a diary -- it should help you spot the trouble areas. Good luck and happy dieting!!!!

well done, hybrid-
can you let us know what mistakes they were, so that others may be wary not to do the same?

Sure ...
I have one chicken option in Meal 2 and and two chicken options in Meal 3. I was eating chicken every weekday but had the wrong amount of chicken with the wrong amount of veggies, so the balance was off there (I later figured out I was having two Meal 2's and no Meal 3 on those days).
Also I had a few ingredients that were not exactly right for the program, such as eating red pepper instead of green, and certain salad greens that aren't exactly lettuce, and eating flavored crackers. I found out about the flavored crackers on a thread in the Support section of the forum. People should really read the posts, esp. those from the moderators, to learn a lot that is not mentioned in the Customer Guide!
I should probably re-read the Customer Guide a few more times until it really sinks in, and refer to it more often than I have been. I just bought a new digital food scale, as the other one I was using was not digital and I had to calculate the weight of the container, etc., so it was probably not accurate enough.
Also I need to reorganize some things in my schedule. It is SO worth it that I will make the extra effort!

You are doing great! Keeping the journal sounds like a good idea. I also was using some no no's at first. I didn't know about the red pepper thing. That is why I love this forum. I found out all the things I was doing not so right here. Like did you know your apple was supposed to be 175 grams? I sure didn't! Anyway, you sound like you have this thing covered. Keep on truck'n and before you know it 12 weeks will be gone! :weights2:

Congrats on the progress so far....I have also been finding these forums helpful to determine the amounts of certain foods.
Thanks for sharing the 170 g for the apple...I did not no that. Out of curiousity is there a weight for an orange?
