Hi,

I have a question about lettuce. I have been using bags of "herb salad mix" and I just read the ingredients, some of which I am not sure are lettuce and OK for this program. (I know that the herbs in the mix are "freebies".)

The ingredient list reads:

baby lettuces (it gives several varieties which I suppose ARE lettuce - red and green romaine, red and green oak leaf, lollo rosa, tango)
red and green chard
mizuna
arugula
frisee
radicchio
and the herbs: parsley, cilantro, dill, which are OK

If it means anything, 85 grams of this mix has 25 calories.

TIA!

{hi} there Girls

Dr Cohen says to weight the veggies on the list – but you may use herbs in moderation to flavor your food. As your bag is mixed, it would be best to pick out the lettuce bits and weigh them, with your tomato, cucumber etc then you can add some herbs in for free.
