Officially I've only been on the 1PD for four days, but I've been following it for a whole week as of today. This morning I weighed myself, and just from last week's dieting I've lost eight pounds! To me that is an extremely big deal, because I have never lost weight like that in my entire life! I've always exercised and eaten right but nothing I do makes the fat come off. And I've seriously tried everything. My dad is a health nut and we go through like four diet phases a year. My weight has never changed, and because of that, I am not a very confident person. So now, to lose eight pounds already is a dream come true! I can't believe I've finally found an effective diet that will make me the person I've always wanted to be! THANK YOU DR. COHEN!!! :weights2:

i am new to cohen's as well. i am on day 6. i will weigh in on wednesday for the end of my first week. 8 lbs is fantastic. i am hoping for the same!!!

Hey there - 8 pounds is a great start. I've been dieting for 4 days and have lost 4 pounds and feel pretty good about that!!!!

Well done on your progress so far!!!
That counts for all the Newbies who are doing so well, and, who incidentally are weighing themselves illegally and way too often! LOL Yes, YES!, I know it's hard to wait till the end of 4 weeks, but Dr Cohen has good reasons for advising this.
In any case, I want you to know up front that you won't always loose weigh that fast, there are going to be plateaus... see page 10 and 11 of your New Customer Guides... I'm telling you this so that you won't think something is wrong when your weight stands still on the scale for a week and so that you do not feel disappointed :crying: when the scale ''seems'' not to budge...
Always remember that your body will be constantly breaking down and using fat reserves - even if you stand still on the scale.

Yeah, I'm sorry Shasha. I promise not to weigh myself "illegally" again. :sadeyes: You know, it was just the first week and I really wanted to see if it was working because, as I said before, nothing has ever worked for me. And now that I checked I am doubly motivated. But I know not to do that again because those eight pounds might be the best I'll ever do in one week. So thanks for your caution, and thank you everyone for your kind words of welcome! It's nice to meet you all and I'm so glad I have somebody to talk to about the 1PD while I do it. Nobody in my family gets it, and they keep accidentally offering me desserts and stuff. Then when I turn them down cold they say, "Wow, that diet must be hard. You should reward yourself with dessert at the end of the week." Yeah. Right. Like I'm gonna mess it all up for a chocolate chip cookie. :eyebrow:

I agree, you should reward yourself - but certainly NOT with something that is counter productive... you can choose from so many other nice goodies ie: manicure, pedicure, massage, facial, clothing, shoes, accessories, new bag, nice book, perfume, new hobbies etc, etc, etc...
Run to the Forum, we'll help you FOCUS on what is important... and, remember, YOU ARE DOING THIS FOR YOU - not for them.
If desert is fine for them, that is fine, but you are CHOOSING TO BE HEALTHY AND SLIM AGAIN! YAAAAY for the slim healthy YOU!!! {cheerleader} She's on her way out!!!
