Hey...
Me again

I was reading some forums (yes, I need help, these days have been heavy - just looking for some support, distraction, motivation...) and found out so many different experiences....

I was trying not to eat all of my crackers and fruits, but I saw some people saying you should rather eat them all, that if you dont, you can even lose less weight????
Doesnt make sense to me, but...

do you?
do you eat everything in allowance?

Hey, Maya. I usually do eat my crackers every day, just because they make so many of the dishes that I cook so much better. I rarely eat my daily fruit allowance, though. I'm just not a big fruit eater -- somewhat bored with it all really. However, I will eat my fruit when I am hungry between meals, whether I actually want the fruit or not. I honestly think it helps me to not cheat at those times. But if I don't get hungry between meals, I just do without the fruit. It hasn't seemed to made a difference one way or the other. But, I do know that if your body isn't getting the nutrition it needs, it tends to hold onto what it can, which would lead to your body retaining weight. However, with that said, the food we eat on this diet is so nutritious that I don't think the body stores much, but rather uses everything for energy. Personally, I think the worst thing you could do is deny yourself the crackers and fruit, and possibly force yourself into cravings or feelings of hunger, and maybe cause you to cheat on the diet. Just my thoughts. :)

{hi} there Maya

:cop: Dr Cohen says that fruit and crackers are OPTIONAL.

See page 15 of your New Customer Guide: The Fruits are optional.
and a little bit lower down: The crackers are optional.

Having your fruit and crackers will depend on you. If say just before your TOM you feel more hungry, you should eat all your fruit and crackers. If you are not hungry or if you do not care for as much fruit or as much crackers as what you have been given, you may decide to leave some or all of these out.

The choice is yours and it depends on what works for you {cheerleader}

Meals however are not negotiable, you must eat all your food, 3 Meals a day.

Hi Maya,

I eat my crackers and fruit as needed. I prefer not to cook with them because I like the option of having them as snacks if I find I'm hungry before I can eat my next meal. I have found that the longer I'm on the plan the less hungry I am so sometimes don't need my snacks. If I find I am hungry, or if I just want to eat in between meals I allow myself to have these optional snacks.

Hi -- me, too -- I NEVER cooked with my crackers & fruit; I eat my crackers and fruit as DESSERTS! Believe me, after being on the Atkins diet (unsuccessfully) for nearly 5 years, EVERY cracker and EVERY piece of fruit is, and continues to be, a momumental event!!!

Maya

Oh, NO, I would NEVER use crackers for cooking, NO WAY! If I have them I smell them and enjoy every crumb!!!!

But sometimes eating them with apple after lunch just fills me up and then I dont think about food until dinner... if I dont get enough for lunch (which usually I don't), then I'm hungry after less than 2 hours...

{hi} there Maya

 I recommend that you avoid the cheese and the yogurt options – these are the least filling meals and can leave you feeling hungry later on in the day – I know you love the yogurt, but still recommend that you give it a miss for a day or two – try making the apple treat with diet soda – this sweet treat can replace your sweet yogurt breakfast as a sweet snack between your meals… helping with the sweet tooth... you can eat ½ your apple now and 1/2 later… so you will be having desert twice from one fruit... try it, I'm sure you will like it {cheerleader} let me know...

i am confused (says silly newbie girl) where can we have yogurt as a snack? that is not my plan, i guess. i only have yogurt in my meal 1.

the apple treat sounds good....i'll have to peek at the recipes.

I never was allowed a yogurt as a snack...just fruit and crackers.

Shasha? Where did "yogurt as a snack" come from? G

cyberella
04-11-2008, 10:16 AM
i think that was just a misinterpretation- noone of us had yoghurt EVER as an inbetween meal-
the proteins need a 5 hour interval, as we learned during the diet...

but i cannot believe that any of u can go without the fruiz (or cracker-)options...:confused:... or even thinking about going without...

i sit here and think- gosh, y cant i have theirs?!- if they dont want it?!----
i'd b running up and down the place and wave my tail- if i had one, until i'd get your allowances..

see, what having the vegetarian-light-meal-version can make of a decent human being?

all this hunger made a complete spine- and prideless sponge-brain out of me..:wacky:

Hey, Shasha!

Thanks for that...
Ok, I will try with the egg morning, but if you just knew how much I crave that yogurt and apple in the morning... I can't wait to go to bed and fall asleep just to wake up and have my breakfast... I eat that apple and yogurt for 30 minutes.

No, no nobody has yogurt for a snack - Shasha was just suggesting me to have egg for breakfast instead of yogurt and then apple for snack...The only thing is - we can't buy sprite light here, we dont have it... I wouldnt use it, though, I don't like sweet things so much... I think apple is sweet enough as it is, can't imagine put any sweetener on it...

But, you see... I don't like eggs, I hate eggs and can't even imagine having eggs in the morning....but ok, I will try...maybe it will help. It is just hard - I don't like meat and meat is all I eat here on this diet (ok, plus veggies)... I LOVE fruit and yogurt... that's all that I like on this diet, so that's why I was such a breakfast lover...

So far - yogurt and apple filled me up the most from all the meals. I am using that Greek yogurt, with 10g of protein...One egg has 6 g of protein, so why would that make me feel fuller????

Yeah, I know - giving up crackers...that was stupid from my side... I leanred the lesson... :party1:

{hi} there Bitten & Gail

OOoops, I can see how that confused you... I've changed the text so as not to confuse anyone else reading it so now:

"this treat can replace your yogurt as a snack between your meals…"

Reads as follows:

"this sweet treat can replace your sweet yogurt breakfast as a sweet snack between your meals… helping with the sweet tooth..."

Some clients love the yogurt because it tastes soooo good! Sadly though, this nice tasting treat is the least filling meal for many and they can then end up feeling hungry during the day. That is why I suggest rather to eat egg and veggies for breakfast and then to make a sweet snack from apple for between your meals.

This way you will be more satisfied by your meal and you can still have a sweet treat every day.

Sorry about not making that point clear enough, but I'm glad to know that you are reading my posts and thinking about them... Sorry if this was confusing - the wording has been corrected :flirt: and, for the record: during the diet, yogurt is only a meal option from Meal 1. Of course your meals can be swopped to have Meal 1 for breakfast, lunch or dinner...

Happy slimming!!! {boing}

{hi} there Maya

If you find the yogurt the most filling, we could try to find a way for you to still eat it...

How about swopping your meals around: Meal 2 for breakfast, Meal 3 for lunch and Meal 1 for dinner?

You should always aim to eat the most filling meal when you are the hungriest. I also believe that if you eat a more filling meal - even chicken and veg in the morning that you won't be hungry during the day and you can end up saving fruit and crackers till a much later time...

I recommend that you experiment - try and see what works for you...

And, lots of people enjoy the hash browns - the egg disappears into it remember you've got the grated zucchini, bit of onion, crushed crackers and the egg just holds it all together... try it, if you like it that’s great, if not you never need to eat it again :flirt:

All the best! {cheerleader} YOU CAN find a way to make this work for you!!

PS: Have you tried making chicken soup with lots of veggies? This might also be a nice option for you...

Made very fast and easy by microwaving your cut chicken with a bit of onion, celery, cauliflower, zucchini, some spinach and some salt and herbs in a cup of boiling water. Once the chicken is cooked (about 7 minutes) the veggies will still be quiet crispy put the above pieces into a blender. You may add a cracker or two to thicken while blending. ENJOY! You may even add some plain fiber husks to this as they will help to keep you feeling full and keep you regular at the same time!

Also, somebody didn't like microwaving... not sure anymore if it was you, but Dr Cohen says you can microwave - no problem - but, of course the choice is yours. If you don't want to use the microwave to make apple - why not cut it into rings and "fry it" in a little water or diet soda - depending on your taste... Oven baking is nice too, but will take a bit more time...

Same with the soup, boil on stove only till chicken pieces are cooked and then you simply blend the rest... nice and filling and warming - comfort food for a cold day!

i always eat my crackers and fruit. I played around with them thinking if I did some or none then I would lose faster and that was not the case. I asked dr cohen about it and he said that they were there to eat and by cutting them out did not mean you would lose faster. All food was there too eat - some was mandatory and some optional. So I eat it all now. I eat 4 saltines TOASTED at every meal and an apple at lunch and dinner and i typically am full.

I agree, rather eat the crackers and the fruit and feel full than try to avoid them and be hungry... besides they do add valuable fiber and taste to your eating plan! :hungry:

hi all-

one the reasons i chose this plan is because it is REAL food.
and to be able to have fruit 3 times a day, after years of low or no carbing is such a blessing. i intend to eat fruit like this forever.
just to have that wonderful, natural sweetness each day makes this plan doable!

and i love my crackers....yum

The fruit and crackers are my *favorite* part. Sometimes I use them for cooking and sometimes I eat them as snacks - just depends on the day. Lately I've been really loving the KAME rice crunch crackers. You get 7 for 2 Cohen crackers. They make interesting lunch time nachos with the mozz and tomato and onion (with the rest of my veggies on the side). :)

I am having my crackers and fruits now, too.
Yesterday was my first day with ALL fruit - 3 apples. I just LOVE apples. I will try with kiwis now, maybe oranges...but... My consultant told me it's hard to say how much an orange should weigh.

I agree with you, bitten - one of the reasons the diet cought my eye was also fruit and crackers...MMMMMMM... :)
Makes a whole life better.:party1:

I read a lot about fruit allowance and it is soooo different?

I was eating 175g of apple (as 1 fruit) - but my consultant said 180-200g is ok.

Anybody?

cyberella
04-15-2008, 08:16 AM
200grams!!!!!???
they obviously knew how hoggish i was and told me only 180g the most!!!!!-
i live 4 my fruit allowance!!!!

know the saying?:
the thinx 4 r willing 2 die 4 r the only thinx 4 really need in our lives!
:love4:-
well, i sure made up my mind...-

i changed my habit this morning and had my 175g dinner-yoghurt with (11,7g) cornflakes (pure wholesome corn, no additives), wheat-brans and added sliced 160g of kiwi and was hungry not long after-
:eyebrow:

so, i wonder how u manage the day with the yoghurt 2 start with, maya!!
u r doing a {goodjob}!!
keep it up..
:party1:

Maya
04-15-2008, 12:23 PM
You ALWAYS make me laugh:)...

Well, I gotta tell you so many different info on these forums... I am still having my 175g apple, I dont know why, but 600 gr of apples a day seems a little a lot for me anyway...

OK, so I LOVE yogurt. Now, in my book says 175 ml of yogurt so I was struggling with getting it every time in the measuring cup and make sure it was "flat surface":flirt:...cuz I saw that 175ml is not 175 g... Now I'm confused, some people saying 175g, but in instructions it's written 175ml?

You know - mornings are THE BEST for me. I wake up by myself at 6.20 (since Cohens, no need for wake up call?!)... then I drink 4dcl of water. Then I cook coffee and I cut my apple and pour yogurt over it.
I bring it all to bed and while reading some stupid magazine (I juts LOVE some chit chat), I slowly enjoy every bite of it. I am not hungry in the morning at all!!! But I am 100% Cohens girl and so I will eat. If he was such a genious to invent this, I will NOT let him down.:party1:

I kind of try to get busy through morning - take dogs out, come on-line...today was hard - took my mom shopping...oh, God - all that food was killlling me... Then I came home and of course I was hungry, I mean, I GET hungry for meals, of course and I could eat anything in between, too!!!! Don't get me wrong here...

For me, the biggest thing that isnt' the way they said it would be - is hunger. I am hungry but I accepted it.

Then I have my lunch and in the afternoon again - trying to get busy. I was too hungry an hour ago, so I had my apple and crackers. Had kiwi for lunch but made me hungry, so I think I will stick to apples - they last longer and I just prefer them.

Jeeezee, can I answer one question short??? Blablablabla chatty Katty:innocent4:...

Maya
04-15-2008, 12:25 PM
And yes, I did try it with egg, but didnt find it any less hunger and just took my beautiful mornings away... I need some soulfood, too!!!:party1:

{hi} there Maya

:comfort: Sorry to hear that you are still feeling hungry, can I recommend that you write to your consultant about this, maybe they can give you some extra advise?

Sometimes when feeling hungry a glass of water can really help - sometimes people experience the feeling of thirst as hunger... maybe this can help?

Hope the hunger will be something of the past soon! :bighug:

Hi Maya -- my "go to" handling of my body's 'hunger pangs' was to CHUG a 12 oz glass of water (not sip, not drink over an hour -- but CHUG the water). EVERY SINGLE TIME I felt hungry. After a couple of days, I never felt hungry again for the duration of the 26 weeks on the diet!

I still use that today if I'm feeling hungry (which is hardly ever at this point). 99% of the time the body is dehydrated, NOT hungry.

Maya

Hello Gailstout, thank you for the advice!

Made me drink almost whole bottle of water in one sip...
I have been drinking water, taking vitamins, drinking coffee, diet coke helps the most, but still, trying not overdo it, have my apples and crackers...
I just can't say I'm not hungry, you know? I am CONSTANTLY thinking about food food food, the only time I'm kind of happy is after breakfast, but even that is over after 2 hours.

I mean, grocery shopping - that is SOOOO hard!!!
I am still counting days, weeks:sadeyes:... Kind of tired of this whole thing. I also got sore throat and trying to have more ester C...

Water helps for a minute or two, but unfortunately doesnt fill me up. I am really not dehydrated, cuz I've been drinking constantly, I know it's the body's hunger.
Didn't feel like I have lost much lately, must be stubborn fat? Hope so.

When I told consultants I am hungry, she just said to have 5 pieces of fruit a day, well, I am not gonna do that, that is just way too much sugar, even if it's natural:eyebrow:.

Sorry guys, I'm just miserable here...getting really a bit tired of this diet, specially seing no weightloss and feeling so sad and down and tired....

GailStout

Hi Maya! I really got how miserable you feel. It makes me sad.

With everything you said, I can only tell you one thing I read in your post above that might be just a little bit of your "miserable":

"When I told consultants I am hungry, she just said to have 5 pieces of fruit a day, well, I am not gonna do that, that is just way too much sugar, even if it's natural."

One of the things I KNOW is true for this diet is that if you VARY the diet at all it doesn't work. SO, if your consultant says to eat 5 fruits a day, then EAT 5 fruits a day -- your hunger might be handled in a couple of days and then you taper back off the 5 fruits AS YOUR CONSULTANT RECOMMENDS. Your consultant is, after all, working for Dr. Cohen.

I found it much easier to act as if I had a terrible disease and Dr. Cohen and the consultants had the only cure; I was very much a little soldier doing exactly as they ordered. "Your food is your medicine. TAKE IT AS PRESCRIBED" -- so if the prescription for you has changed to five fruits, go for it. You end up at five fruits a day on re-feeding anyway! What they're trying to do is make the diet work for you, and just because five fruits are needed NOW doesn't mean that they will be needed for the entire rest of your diet.

I also know that for me, drinking ANY diet pop made me feel hungry and want REAL sugar (you know, brownies!). SO I couldn't drink pop at all because the 1PD guide says that even if a food is allowed IF IT MAKES YOU HUNGRY you should avoid it. Why not try replacing the diet soda with more coffee or tea and more water as well and see what happens? (Diet pop is, after all, filled with chemicals -- maybe there's something in there that your body is protesting?)

If you're hungry alot of the time, there could also be something that is ALLOWED on your diet that is making you feel hungry. You could take a few days and eliminate one thing at a time -- and since you know you're not hungry right after breakfast, it's probably NOT what you eat at breakfast.

On grocery shopping, I'm assuming you still have to buy non-diet foods for others in your household? Me too. I changed my schedule around so that I shopped basically every other day with VERY LITTLE TIME to shop; I zoomed through the store, grabbed the non diet stuff basically at a run, and took my (very small amount of) time to walk leisurely through the fruits & veggies and meat departments. That way, I only had to take a minute or two to toss the "bad stuff" into the cart. Within about 3 weeks, though, I'd started just making larger portions of MY dinners for everyone else -- my husband ended up losing 40 pounds because I told him "honey, it's too hard for me to buy you bacon, cheese, and potatoes..." and he was supportive about it.

So talk to your family -- maybe you'd be surprised at how helpful they'd be!

Maya, we're here for you! Know that I too had long "plateaus" during my weight loss, but after 24 weeks plus refeeding, I'm so much happier and healthier I can't even describe it! And YES, I DID have a terrible disease. I weighed 257 pounds and it was killing me. Dr. Cohen and his consultants with the incredible tool of the 1PD cured it. All I did was what I was told, and NOTHING ELSE.

YOU CAN DO THIS!!! WE WILL HELP YOU!!!

{hi} there MAYA

I’m sorry to hear that you are feeling hungry – are you on a vegetarian program? Vegetarian meals are less filling and as such the Veggie Dieters do seem to struggle.

If you feel that 5 fruit is too much sugar you may be right. Fruit is high in sugar and this can trigger insulin and result in more hunger. I’m not sure what your normal fruit allowance is, but you may want to change the recipe just a bit and try adding 1 extra fruit and 4 extra crackers (no more than 2 at a time.)

Let’s see if there is anything else that can help against this terrible hunger :gurney: :

We already know that you are you following the Eating Plan 100% GOOD!

Are you eating apple? If so, leave the apple out, for the next week and replace with one of your other fruits (apple may be triggering your hunger).

You are drinking your minimum 2 litres of water a day? GOOD!

Are you having more than two crackers portions together at the same time? This will register in your body as a starch and result in interference with the growth hormone.

Are you not having “hidden” starch? Check your herbs, spices, curry powder etc. to see that you are not having starch, modified starch, gluten, wheat-flour, crushed cereal, MSG and preservatives, and any such additives.

Are you not exercising too much? Your body can cope with certain levels of exercise, but excessive amounts of exercise, or sudden bursts of activity (that the body is not used to) can trigger hunger. For now please do not exercise at all.

Is the weather abnormally cold? A cold spell can trigger hunger.

Are you pre-menstrual? Fluctuating hormones can trigger hunger (having an extra vitamin in the afternoon will help).

Are you taking a good multi-vitamin supplement? It is essential to supplement the body while on the Eating Plan. Ensure the supplement you are taking has a B6 content of less than 5mg (more than that will trigger hunger).

Are you having yoghurt in the morning? Change to Egg & Veg.

Are you having Cottage or Ricotta Cheese for lunch? Change to Mozzarella Cheese or preferably meat, chicken or fish with veggies.

Are you on any new medication? HRT-Hormone Replacement Therapy, Cortisone, or sugar and alcohol contents in many medications can slow results and/or even disrupt the process totally.

Maybe these tips and questions can shed some light. You may also try and swop your meals around ie: Meal 3 for breakfast, Meal 2 for lunch and Meal 1 for dinner.

I also recommend that you make chicken soup (nice and filling) by microwaving your cut chicken with a bit of onion, celery, cauliflower, zucchini, some spinach and some salt and herbs in a cup of boiling water. Once the chicken is cooked (about 7 minutes) put the above pieces into a blender. You may add a cracker or two to thicken while blending. ENJOY! You may even add some plain fiber husks to this as they will help to keep you feeling full and keep you regular at the same time!

Please hang in there :gurney: and DO STAY IN CONTACT WITH YOUR CONSULTANT. Please don’t give up ~ we would like to see you coming through this SUCCESSFULLY! :comfort:

sweet maya-

i really feel for you!!!! sasha and gail have given you great tools to try and remove the hunger and move forward. i also know that you are near re-feed correct? i cannot see your ticker here, but i remember that you are not far at all (hooray)!!! i have read that when you come close to your natural weight, proper weight you become hungry. and that apples can trigger hunger, too.
you are doing so, so well and i hate to hear you are so miserable and blue.
please try the 'new' ideas you have been given.

hi gail-

i am still desperate to hear more about your cohen's experience. i have a similar amount of weight to lose and when i saw that you wrote recently that you think you could have lost it in 12 weeks, my eyes and ears have really pricked up and opened wide.
i have been told that my amount of weight (95 lbs) will take me 6-7 months at least...
but you did it quicker, right?
i am 110% OP and looking at this as my medicine, that i am ill, and i want to recover.
so, how can i do it quicker? i think i remember you saying that something about not doing the plan properly for the first 6 weeks, BUT if you had you could have ben done in 12 weeks.
did i read that right?

i want this done and dusted in the shortest, simplest amount of time.

please, please tell me how!!!!

best to you, you superstar-

Hi Everyone ~

First of all ~ Maya, I hope things are starting to move in more of a positive direction for you. It's really tough to see the effort you put into something and not see the results you want to. There are times I get obsessed with the scale and want to (and do) weigh every single day. When you see you are trying so hard and aren't seeing the weight loss as you want to see it, it gets really frustrating. We just have to hang in there, you are definitely not alone! :comfort: We're all in this together!

I wanted to throw out there maybe an idea to fight your hunger. There are times when I am wanting something sweet to eat, and I will just pop in a stick of gum. Once I chew that for 15-20 minutes, I am satisfied. I wonder if it would help you?? I don't know ~ just a thought...

Gail ~ {wave} CONGRATULATIONS on reaching your weight loss goal! That is wonderful!! I loved reading your posts. You have such great words of wisdom and are truly an example of how this diet can work for all of us. You give me the feeling you are the 'experienced mom' who has been there, done that and will do what she can to help us all to succeed. You help us to stay on track and focus on the ultimate goal. You are truly appreciated.

Bitten ~ Looking at your ticker, we seem to be in the same boat here. I love to read how determined you are to get this off as soon as possible. I feel the exact same way! You mentioned that Gail thought she could have met her goal in the first 12 weeks, boy would I LOVE to hear about that. I would love to have all the weight gone in just three months, but often thought I was thinking unrealistically about that happening. Do you really think it's possible? The thought of it happening really makes you want to stay on track and stay focused....

Take care everyone ~ and keep in touch!!

Until next time ~

hey, maya!

i sent u some hugs already in the other thread, i know-
just wanted 2 add here that i agree with bitten as that was my 1st thought as well-
u r not far from refeed there4 hungry a lot!!

after overcoming the guity-part, i did "deviate" a lot and added fruit as "prescribed", as i was even dizzy on top of being hungry-
and i still lost 20kg! (i sometimes wonder how much i would have lost without "saving" the day often, but then again, iz 2 fast anyway...
crash-diez r NOT GOOD at all- the nutrition-scientist i consulted asked if i was crazy having had such a fast weight-loss!)..

iz also a big difference btween being close 2 goal and dont having so much weight 2 lose or been highly overweighed!

so, again: dont make your life harder than it is and 4 your own sake:
try 2 b grateful 4 being so slim already--
imagine what others have 2 go through- having 2 do the plan 4 as much as 6 months!!!!! can u imagine this? well, i cant and i bow b4 everyone who accompished this!!!!!!!!!! :flirt:

and u r lucky enough 2 not having 2 imagine...

iz so worth 2 keep going!
so great 2 weak up every morning and realizing how slim the body underneath the blanket feels... :party1:

Wow, girls, you are amazing! Thank You soooo much:praying:!!!!

Gailstout - thank you so much for your encouragement! I thought diet coke would make me hungry, but if I have like 2,5dcl in the afternoon it actually helps! You are right about the fruit - I should not doubt into what my consultant suggests... I think where I doubted here was more - is it really really my hunger or am I just greedy to eat food:hypnotic:? I was born to be guilty, so I never really doubt other people as much as I do - so I feel guilty having something "more" from normal plan, since it feels I'm a baby and can't make it as other people can...
I think I juse realized this now...

Right now I have such a sore throat that I couldn't even eat my apple in the morning with yogurt, so I only had plain yogurt and will be having fruit later.
You are right about sodas - I usually never drink them. Chemistry. I do have coffee and I gotta say this here -

I do think I'm hungrier, because I am coming close... I think so, because - if the blood test showed no deviation and if I lost 8.8kg in first month, then I can't be doing anything wrong and if the scale is going down slow, that can only mean the stubborn fat is getting broken down. And I am patient, I didn't weigh myself yet. Always just once a week.
Because I believe in Cohens 100%.

Shasha - went through all those advices, thank you, I saw them in some other mail before and checked it all - have them in my kitchen desk - and made sure none of them was "yes". I thank you again for writing them, it was good to go through it again. I really think I'm just coming close to a refeed. No exercises at all. I am a bit worried, since I'll be having a very active work after 10 days, when my work starts...maybe thats why I so wish to hit the refeed before I crash.
You so sweet - thanks really, for the support - I will NOT give up, I never did (ok, except on other stupid diets), but never on things that were important for me. Actually - that was another "killer" - on that dinner, girls said - "Oh, God, you have a willpower made from steel..you can do anything!" -
and I was thinking - God, they really think I was just born with the strong will, ha? If they only knew how much I have to fight my own little hungry devils...

People see me as a superwoman here and sometimes it just gets tireing and I start doubting myself, you know? So I thank You SOOOO much for the support, I never had anyone saying these things to me.
Mostly I was the one, supporting people.

Lolox4TS - I havent tried the chewing gum...hm, that might be an option, too! Can you believe me I dont like chewing gums? I used to say I was too lazy to chew:innocent4:!!!

Bitten - you sweety... yes, I think it must be the closer I'm coming to my weight... I'm down 8.8kg and have another 6.1kg to go. Last week lost only 0.7kg, so I guess I am coming closer.
Thank you for your support!

And Cybi: you just make the whole thing sound so damn easy, it literally lifts me out of my "magic circle of complicating it". THanks girl, you da best{wave}!

Oh, forgot this - Gailstout - on shopping - you are doing it awesome!
My problems are mostly once a week when I take my mom shopping...she LOVES to browse through the "streets" of stores and she's slow. I usually ask her to do it after my meal, so its not too bad, but she just doesnt get it, I asked her kindly, many times, to NOT show me all the yummy food, but she keeps doing it...

"Oh, look, they have a new bread out? Wanna try some? Oh, you can't...sorry, girl, poor girl.." (while munching on it:sadeyes:)... "Oh, my god is good..."

Thanks mom.

You know how they do it in stores - smells are just hypnotizing!

I do try to move away and stay in a veggie section, but ...if you have ever been in European stores - it's so much fresh food they are teasing you with...

So, mostly the worse is just Tuesdays, when my mom is shopping...

I’m very glad you are here getting support for YOU! {bighug}

There must always be a good balance between input and output otherwise we can risk running empty…

HANG IN THERE… You’ve probably read how Cyberella was also very hungry too, but today she is rejoicing about all the good healthy food and, soon that will be YOU TOO!!!
