Hey there, I've been on the program for a little over four weeks. The first four weeks while trying at times produced amazing results (-20lbs). I then went on a mini vacation and was able to eat about 60% of my meals on plan and the other 40% were pretty wild. :munchies: Up until this vacation I had been insanely focused on not deviating. Now I'm back on track but feeling sluggish and have quite the headache from my deviation (headaches weren't a symptom I had to deal with very often during the first 4 weeks).

So - a short fall off the bus - and now I'm back on track. It's very helpful to read about all of the experiences you all have had and are having as I continue this journey.

Dear Makena,

Hi and welcome! I experienced a similar reaction when I went off my program and came back on to it. I only had the headaches for about 3 days, and I noticed that when I kept my water intake high the headaches subsided, and the sluggishness went away after 3 - 4 days aswell.

Well done for getting back on the bus so quickly! Once you see the positive resluts, you will be glad you did.

Hi Makena!

LOVE your name by the way. If my son had been born a girl his name was going to be Makena - spelled the same and everything!

Welcome back to the diet! So glad to hear you're back on track and focused again. You'll get over this come-back hump and will resume losing all the weight you want to be rid of. Be sure to keep us posted on your progress!

Thanks for all the warm wishes. It's been easier than I expected to stay back on (at least in some ways). I'm getting stuck in some ruts with my food, but am going to experiment a little more this week and hope that will help...

Thanks cyberella - congrats to you on finishing your 12 weeks.

As for food - I've tried some new things in the last couple days. I had been having yogurt for breakfast every morning, and finally decided to have an egg instead - with crackers. It was delicious. I had some homemade salsa on it (20g of tomatoes & onions and 50g of green pepper). YUM. I made the egg over easy, and made a little sandwich with my crackers. So that was definitely a good find.

I've also been loving making my own mango salsa. it's delicious on a cracker crumbed white fish pan sauteed. Tonight, lean strips of beef sauteed with onions and a mini seedless cucumber.

I bought some marrow/zucchini to try the hashbrowns and or breakfast muffins this week. I like trying to find new things...it keeps it interesting. Since my little deviation 2 weeks ago I've been back on track with no slip ups. I got my blood test results back and the consultant was satisfied and told me to keep it up.

Thanks for all the support!

{hi} there Makena

That is REALLY GREAT NEWS! :applause: {goodjob}

I hope you enjoy the Hash Browns! You will find that you can make about 3 or 4 in a large pan at the same time... I think that 4 smaller ones is better than 2 larger ones...

wow, what an understatement!
the hash-browns i used 2 have where 4 huge ones or eight small ones-
by only using one egg and my 115g of zucchini! :P:hungry::drool:
