Hi there and welcome Wontonluvr!

You're off to a good start introducing yourself on this forum and already asking questions. Congratulations for joining this diet and taking control of your health. It is truly so amazing and I know you'll be happy with the results if you stick to the plan 100%!!

As far as salad dressings go, I use either apple cider vinegar or balsamic vinegar diluted with a little water and a packet of splenda. Both taste great and are keeping me satisfied and everyone always comments on how good my salads smell. I know some people have added other herbs to the mix so you can experiment with that (basil, oregano, etc.) for flavor. There may be some ideas or recipes under the recipes threads on this forum too.

Best of luck and keep the questions coming. You may have figured out that we like helping each other out here!

{hi} there wontonluvr - welcome to the board!!! I've been hoping that you would introduce yourself, because I had to share a little something with you. I was on the board a few days ago and your name appeared at the bottom as the newest member to the board. I let out a bit of a chuckle  because with my first quick glance, I thought your user name was wantonluvr, which I thought was extremely brave of you. :flying: But, then I noticed that you are actually a WONTON lover, not a WANTON lover. {oops} How hilarious is that?!?!?!?

But seriously, a really big welcome to you and you've come to the right place for help with the diet. Any questions -- just ask away -- all the members here are always ready and willing to help out. Have a wonderful journey!!!

Welcome, welcome, welcome!
This is a great place to come for support, I know first hand!

My advice: Drink your 2 liters of water every day! Don't fool yourself by saying you are drinking enough of the other stuff to get your hydration. You need the water to metabolize the fat.
I did not start out drinking all the water and I am having to pay the piper, so to speak!

Congratulations on the first steps you are taking to be the best you you can be!

Hello! Glad to have you here. My advice would be visit often! This is an incredible group of people, and when you are frustrated, excited, discouraged, or encouraged this is the place to be to get through it all. I'm almost done with 8 weeks, and having all of these experiences and insights has been so helpful.

Stick with it - the weight you lose and the strength you gain will amaze you!

Gettinskinny - I read 'wanton' at first too...heehee...it lends a little something to the imagination. But, wontons, yummmm...

Hi there bitten: When you get to the "your weight loss ticker" page you're given TWO codes: one says "for HTML, copy and paste this into your page (ticker code)"; the second says "for BB Code and forum code, copy and paste this into your page (ticker code)"

For the FORUM you need to use the SECOND ticker code that says "for BB Code and forum code..." copy and paste THAT one into your forum posts!

:-) Luv, Gail

thanks gail-

i was just curious why we could not have something in our signatures? something we do not have to continue to cut and paste with each post. etc.

is that possible, like on other forums. i am sure it must. i am missing something, right?

bitten-

gail, i have read your journey and i am truly inspired and amazed. well done, you!!!

Welcome bitten

I added for you a "[" in your previous post to make it work.
You do not need to cut 'n paste it again and again ... just add this into your signature :)

Hi bitten -- I've only figured out how to paste it each time...anything else is a question for the 1pd admin! :-) It's probably a function of how the website works and the band width the forum is allowed (how many "options" the website has, I mean). I agree it would be cool for the website to know when we log in what our preferences are as far as tickers and signatures...but it may be beyond the capabilities or size allotted to the site.

{hi} there Bitten

As per Wilma’s previous post, I think you forgot to add the "[" at the start of your ticker…

See the front of your ticker – you are pasting:

Note there is no [ at the start of your ticker and the ticker must start with:

Hi, Gail!

In your control panel, open Edit Signature and paste the ticker BB code there. It will then become your signature and show up automatically every time you post.
