Hi all,
I'm a bit sheepish about posting my 8 week results - as honestly I thought there was one more week....oops. Shows my lack of focus...
But you can't fix a problem without first acknowledging it. So as I've previously said, I have deviated and as a result I have been on an extended plateau. So here's my 8 week weighin:
Weight: Started at 215lbs, currently 184lbs, down 31lbs
Chest: Started 46 inches, currently 42 inches, down 4 inches
Waist: started 41 inches, currently 35 inches, down 6 inches
Hips: started 46 inches, currently 42 inches, down 4 inches
Leg: started 25 inches each, currently 22, down 3 inches
Arm: started 12.5 inches each, currently 11, down 1.5 inches.
The positive about all of this is that everything is down.. no ups!! The journey continues...

Yay Megsy!!! Those results would be wonderful even if you hadn't deviated, but know that you did that makes them even more incredible! Good, good, good for you! I hope that these results re-motivate you to stay strong and not cheat anymore. I honestly think the longer you can go without cheating the easier it gets. I'm so proud of you! This is a hard thing to do, but you must be feeling pretty good about yourself right now & looking even better!

Hey Bron,
Thanks for your words, I guess I've just realised my mindset was in the still a bit disappointed with myself mode and you've just put a more positive spin on it all. So thankyou!! :love7: Here's to the next 4 weeks!!
Cheers

I have to agree with Bronwyn, Megsy. You are making wonderful progress. Look at that inch loss! Wow!
{congrats}
The next 4 weeks will be great! After all this is a journey and we're all learning as we go along :)

Absolutely WorthQueen, thanks for your support!
It's a journey with many interesting aspects isn't it! For me it's been important to not throw the towel in completely, just accept that it happened - it's in the past, no more focus on it, concentrate on what's ahead and don't lose faith!!
Here's to helping each other for as long as its needed! :party4:

Megsy,
You are doing great! It is a long road and is bound to have some bumps along the way. Hang in there. We are right about the same length of time in the program. I have my 8 week weighin this Friday.
Great that you are back on track and still in there for the long haul!!!
Take care,
Swimmer

{congrats} Those are GREAT results! You should be screaming those results {scream} for all to hear. FYI...Your results where better than my 8 week(28 lbs.) and I didn't deviate from the program...So Girl...Be proud of those results....Go get yourself a nice little treat. I bought myself some new clothes (I don't care that I am only going to wear them for a short time. I felt like I deserved them and I wanted to look good...I was so excited about my new body I even threw in 3 new pairs of shoes.) Go CELEBRATE!

hey, megs...
.. i didnt deviate at all at that stage- that was when i was still a million times more motivated than now.. (just "kidding"-with a little spark of truth in it)
and lost xactely as much as u did-
(just checked my thread: 9th week bgun-
there iz written: 31 lbs!!)
i also was frustrated-
as i sticked 2 the plan 100% and still had the same resulz-
so, please 4 my sake: dont complain, as i otherwise start 2 cry, ok!!?!? or how bout that, i come round occasionally and we do this: {slapfight} *gg*
and: {congrats}{bdaycake} .. we have 2 save the cake 4 later, though!!!

Hey Swimmer, Amylynn and Babi,
Thanks girls - you sure know how to put a smile on a gal's face!!
Good luck this Friday Swimmer with your weighin! I'm looking forward to reading your progress and sending some cyber good vibes your way on such a great result. Can't believe the time has flown by so quickly - can you?!
And guess what Amylynn, I did go shopping today!! :D Must of picked up your vibes! It's my birthday next Saturday, (I'm an Aries girl.... can you tell?) so darling hubby sent me out for the day with my stepmum to do some shopping!! So I got myself a couple of absolute bargains and as you said, doesn't matter that I'll only be wearing them for a short time - it felt absolutely fantastic just trying them on!! Our sizes in Australia are slightly different so finding a pair of jeans was fun. I picked a 14 and a 12 to try on and guess what.... both were toooooo big!!! Yaaaaayyy!!! So I walked out with a size 10! Wooohooo!!! And then I found a fitted jacket reduced from $140 down to $20 so that's found it's way into my wardrobe. Then I bought a whole lots of things for my hubby (kids got lucky with clothes through the week at a thrift shop). So all in all a great day was had!
Shoes will have to wait - they have never really been my friend... only because I have yucky feet. You know what the Hobbits feet look like from Lord of the Rings? Well.... that's what I have at the end of my legs. I'm soooo glad hubby doesn't have a foot fetish!
And Babi, you make me laugh! How's this sound: I'm working on a mango cheesecake that will hopefully be allowed on Cohens.... so maybe we can have our cake sooner than later!?
And I promise - I will no longer complain! Or maybe I will then we'll have to meet up so we can {slapfight}{rofl}!!
Take care all

(actually i wanted 2 do a round-trip the united states with the trailer we just bought-
already tried 2 find a ship taking us across the "big lake"-
might b cheaper 2 rent one mobile-home overseas, mayb?)
but anyway!! i am planning on coming round someday-
so u might b still in the us and not having gone back 2 aussi-land? what r your plans in that direction anyway?- if i may ask?!
