I was scared to death to start this diet, but I must say this first 3 days has not been as bad as I thought it would be. I have copied a few receipes from all and made up a couple of my own. My husband weighs 128 lbs. So it is difficult to cook 2 meals everyday but so far so good. Smile:)

Hi Baredw!
Good for you for taking control and starting this diet! The first three days are actually the absolute worst so it should get better for you from here on out. I was surprised at how easy this was for me too as I thought I would be miserable and feel hungry, deprived, etc. the whole time. Only recently (I'm in my 9th week) have I grown a bit bored with my food choices, but the last couple of days I'm back and inspired again and I've just had to step it up a notch with my creativity.
Not sure what you mean by "My husband weighs 128 lbs. so it is difficult to cook 2 meals everyday"? Can you elaborate on that thought?
Good to have you on the boards! Best of luck on your journey and we're here if you need us.

Thank you for showing interest in my message. What i mean by cooking two meals is, I have to cook one way for my husband (always something fattening) and another way for me at the same time. Example last night I cooked seafood gumbo for my husband and made another diet meal for me.It is hard. I told my husband is as if I asked him to light a cigarette for me every time he trys to quit smoking. TOUGH (by the way I don't smoke)

Hi Baredw,
Well done on getting through the toughest part! You will find lots of support here to help keep you on track. :party1:
I have a suggestion which might help on meal preparations. When I decided to seriously do this program, I sat down with my husband and I went over all the reasons why this was so important to me and to us, actually. I made sure that there were no distractions and sat down and I went over the fact that I had been stuggling for 16 years with this weight issue. He knew the health problems I'd faced and the problems with my weight and he agreed to support me 100%. This means that he has agreed to eat what I eat and when I eat, but he doesn't have to weigh anything and of course, he can add extra spices and whatnot. We agreed that if I could do this for a season or two, that he could help me do it. We even planned out our date nights and special events so that my diet is always the most important consideration in what and how we do things. I hope this helps. It really is for such such a short time to have a lifetime of peace. :)
Good luck! Please keep us posted.

{hi} there Baredw
A very WARM WELCOME TO YOU!!!! :bighug:
I'm thrilled to hear that you breezed through the first three days - how wonderful!!!
How much weight would you like to loose?
I agree with what WorthyQueen has done - you will surely need your hubby's support!
I understand that you won't be able to make your hubby the same meals as you are eating because he needs extra, but here's how you can make the same sort of thing for both of you - let's take chicken soup for example:
Chicken soup is nice and filling and easy to make by microwaving your cut chicken with a bit of onion, celery, cauliflower, baby marrow, some spinach and some salt and herbs in a cup of boiling water. Once the chicken is cooked (about 7 minutes) put the above into a blender. You may add a cracker or two to thicken while blending. Then all you need to do is ENJOY! You may even add some plain bran / husks to this as they will help to keep you feeling full and regular at the same time!
So, that's your easy chicken soup... now for him you can make the same and once his is finished blending, you simply add vermicelli or instant noodles that you've poured boiling water onto or quickly cooked.
So, in this way you both eat the same type of meals, only his is non diet and yours is diet. Or you can make both of you a veggie and meat or chicken stir fry, only his can have more different types of veggies and added brown rice for example.
Remember this is for a limited time only so: ALWAYS MAKE THE VERY MOST OF IT!!! {cheerleader}
